If you want a weapon to fill a certain role then get a weapon that fits that role as close as possible before you start taking a dremel and file to it. There's many other better base pistols to do... I've got an old FN that I've been considering doing similar too, but at least mine is MKII Israeli surplus slop and not a WWII gun. Also, you just know that he's got two M3 screws holding that rail section on, I'd at least be soldiering on a rail section that is a better profile match to the frame (I know a guy who tig welded a rail to the frame of an MkII, but I'd be worried about heat treatment on a fusion welded frame).

I've seen you post this before and honestly looks cool. I like to see how it groups or at least a video online of it being shot. Not the work bubba ive seen as I recall a Mosin where someone literally welded a metal stick on the safety.
