All branches are shit right now.
Leadership is weak, branches are fat with bureaucracy that is more similar to a federal LE agency than a military.
Marines are okay, they’d probably be better off without being subjected to certain aspects of the navy. The navy is a bloated atrocity.
Dumbass central but otherwise they care about being killers moreso than the Army and I can respect that in a military branch. Lack of budget keeps them otherwise more ineffective than they could be
I was in the Army during the Surge in Iraq, so I don't know about now. But having cross trained with them and seen them in country, known them in my personal life etc my opinion is that they earn the name jarhead. Full of guts but no brains. Over confident and ready to throw their lives away because they didn't understand basic infantry tactics or life saving skills (such as how to apply a tourniquet). They are straight dick head morons, and honestly I wouldn't want them anywhere near me in combat because they make really stupid decisions. "Every Marine is a rifleman" like ok, so is every soldier, we all have to qualify on a rifle, and even POGs like cooks got basic infantry training, but they seem to think this makes them on the same level as a Ranger Battalion or something. The Marine Corps also treats them like garbage, they will try to throw them out before they can retire. I have a friend that was a Marine who was a mechanic and only deployed to Kuwait, but if it ever comes up he will go full sperg and pretty much act like because I wasn't a Marine I never did anything in Iraq even though I was combat arms running daily missions. I try not to talk about it with him but he constantly brings it up to the point I've done everything but ghost him. I've known other Marines in post service life and I have never met a Marine that was pleasant to be around.
That is just my opinion from what I saw.
>The Marine Corps also treats them like garbage, they will try to throw them out before they can retire.
This is absolutely what I despise the most. The Marine Corps legit treats it's enlisted soldiers like they are replaceable trash, whereas in the Army they at least are trying to retain personnel and pretend to give a frick
>The stolen valor doesn't know about CLS training
We get it bro. You would have punched a drill instructor in the face or whatever cope. We can't all be Marines. :^)
My parents were both Marines so in a way I think highly of the branch more than others but I don't really give a shit about other marines and I'm gonna roll my eyes if they start talking about it unprompted.
Not all marines are bad
t. Army, we have former marine sgt who is a fake motard for the shits and giggles, motivates everyone lagging behind and was on Combat deployments both marines and army
In scout sniper platoon have ex force recon who is so unsuspecting because I had to ask him what he did in the corps because he doesn't ever talk about it
Another ex marine who joined to go Regiment, got Rfsed for dip in ranger school, went back and got his tab 2nd time through.
>mhmmm grayons
Why is this image so fricked up?
Anyways they're attractive picrel

I've figured it out. Liberian peace keeping mission.
This is the only instance of marines wearing flag patches I've ever seen.

I've got some bad news for you, anon
Imagine seething this hard lmao. Rent free in soldier's minds.
yea it tends to stick with you when you see dead Marines because their corpsman was killed and no one else knows how to stop bleeding.

They get the worst food and most of them have a dependapotamus at home on the couch with 8 frick buddies on speed dial
