I get the inane point you're trying to make, but because it exists as part of the bolt and not a separate component it is a fixed firing pin. That's the important distinction.
>Acquired taste aesthetics wise
agreed, I used to hate it for looking cheap and shitty, now I love that look on it. Its like what the sten wishes it could be
it's like going home with an insanely unattractive chick from the bar, but she gives you the best orgasm of your life, and cooks you breakfast the morning after. looks aren't everything.
The M/45b is surprisingly (mechanically) accurate with single shots as well, but since it's a full-auto-only gun firing accurate single shots is a bit tricky.
But yeah, the M45 may have the best mag of any submachinegun out there, it's fricking fantastic, even compared to modern computer engineered polymer wonders.
Fun fact: Popping off single shots at 100m targets with the M/45b is a legally recognized sport in Sweden and competing in this sport is recognized as a valid reason to own these guns, so the police still issue licenses for ownership of these guns despite the fact that they're full frickin' auto.

Yeah absolutely, the (likely) difference in accuracy is due to the trigger and stock of the m38.

Post proof and i will get a license for it.
You need to be an active member of a club that still practices this kind of shooting to get a license, and those clubs have been slowly dying since these guns were removed from military service.
Also like handguns, the licenses need to be renewed every 5 years.
Personal favorite is the Beretta PM12, but I have a real soft sport for the K. Most stuff that isn't a telescoping bolt just feels inefficient and overly large
Probably my penis. The length and girth can accomodate a whole host of native cartridges while being both ergonomic and user friendly.
Post 7.62 in penis hole or GTFO
Are open bolt fixed firing pin SMGs striker fired? :thonk:
It's called a fixed firing pin.
Which sounds like a kind of striker to me
That's because you're braindead moronic.

Either M3 or Model 38.
>M3
>double stack, single feed .
No.
That actually has a few advantages.
>Feeds from a consistent position
>Less likely to vomit rounds on impact
>Slightly easier to get into the magazine well
That doesn't negate the cons but it's not as bad as people think
Neither one of those are tube guns.....
The M3 is made from welded "clamshell" stampings, and the M-38 has a complex machined receiver
Owen gun
Acquired taste aesthetics wise but phenomenal SMG

Top contenders:
Swedish M/45B
Italian Beretta M38 series
French MAT-49
M38 for accurate single shots and ergonomics, m/45b mechanically (due to the magazine)

Thanks, I'll look into it.
Anyone got the pic of the Sten someone built into an MG with the drum mag?
PPS-43
Uzi
Overrated and excessively israeli. Not a terrible SMG, but it's not great and certainly not in the Top 3.
>Semi-auto carbine
Doesn't qualify for the SMG thread.
Also it's shit and needs to have a bunch of parts replaced after firing just 200-300 rounds.
you reply like a man that eats corn the long way
You sound like a moronic newbie.
That's the superior method to avoid stuff getting in your teeth and I will not be shamed for it. Bet you also hate people that piss in the sink
My old Sargent loved it. Said it was the perfect weapon for a squad leader and that he would still carry it if they'd let him.

These blast marks are too accurate for sand people
