What is the best thing to spray on blackberry bushes this time of year to kill them? I've cut them and chopped them up already, what's good for scorched earth to keep them from coming back in spring? I have a one gallon pump sprayer and the area is about 200x200 feet
mmmmmmmmm
would eat
OP here. I also want to know the best way to get rid of chipmunks.
Apply herbicidal strength vinegar (10 or 15-ish% acetic acid, its sold in most gardening places as organic weed killer) then uproot
.22lr and/or rat traps
> high strength vinegar
I’ve tried this several times on many different types of plants and weeds.
It’s complete BULLSHIT.
Also makes the soil acidic so nothing new will grow, but old established plants (that you want to kill) are fine.
The only effect was sometimes you get some brown spots appearing on leaves.
There’s this cult of people that think vinegar is magic and it can do anything. As I implied, they’re full of shit.
What's a good recipe for chipmunk stew? .22ltred of course, not poisoned.
Brake fluid works well. Will also poison the land toom
Use round up. Also will give you and anyone else who lives nearby cancer
I recommend you not drink it undiluted.
Triclopyr, aka stump killer.
Paint freshly cut stems with it undiluted.
You can also spray the whole blackberry plants at the recommended dilution.
Blackberry bushes are ornery bastards, it often takes several applications to deal with them.
These are cut close to the ground, would I be ok using a backpack sprayer and just staying the entire area? The area is roughly 200x200 feet. I know this time of year is best as the roots are absorbing as.much as possible for winter hibernation. I wanted to keep the patch but they were attracting bears, and my wife got stuck in the brambles
>clumsy wife got stuck and bitched
> attract bears
Sounds like a win-win, plus the now satiated bears leave more delicious fresh berries for you to eat in peace
My neighbor had goats until they started eating his wood siding so he shot them
Good
>my wife got stuck in the brambles
>they were attracting bears, and my wife got stuck in the brambles
Heh
I wish i had more blackberries and chipmunks in my sterile suburban hellscape.
I just planted more blackberry (and raspberry) plants this year, looking forward to getting some fruit next season.
A good mattock.
Goats.
Don't poison the land like an idiot.
I could give you the recipe for the stuff the utility company here uses but it's kinda expensive.
Some parts are hard to find in small quantities. The recipe is for 100 gallons but I just fractioned it down to make four gallons at a time.
It's for clearing power line right-of-ways. Kills everything including Kudzu and trees.
What is the recipe?
>What is the recipe?

These are the prices I paid about 18 months ago.
Element 4 Herbicide(Triclopyr 4 Herbicide) $44/gal
Arsenal AC - weed and brush killer $60/qt
Milestone - range grass killer $100/qt
Escort - weed control $100/qt
Enhance - surfactant $10 gal
To be fair, you did say it's not economical in small quantitities.
mmm four kinds of poison
That's one depressing yet somewhat kino town.
they aren't hard to pull just get heavy leather gloves. you'll probably want to pull them out after anyway so there isn't really any benefit to spraying them? is there? Birds eat the berries and fly around and shit them out so the real problem is having them nearby if you don't like them.. Because birds will keep bringing them back.. Particularly if you have bird feeders.
I shoot all birds except crows, I don't like birds but I like crows.
Opposite problem here.
I WANT to get a bunch of blackberry bushes growing on my property but for some reason they aren't taking very well.
the soil ph has to be right
you should just let them grow back every year but mow it once or twice so it does not get out of control. they are really good for holding your hillside together
>they are really good for holding your hillside together
And eating.
Calcium chloride
It will kill everything plant life, wont give you cancer and unlike rock salt, will eventually clear from the soil.
Is it ok to use in a drain field?
>WHATS THAT? A DELICIOUS AND NUTRITIOUS FOOD SOURCE FOR FREE RIGHT NEXT TO MY HOUSE?! AHHHH IM GOING INSANEEEE
>BETTER OBLITERATE IT ASAP
Imagine being such a stupid homosexual
