What if Russia sad 'Frick it' and dropped the VDV on Tallinn. Do you think the Estonian national Guard and 5000 NATO troops could expunge them or Estonia would be conquered in 2 days like some Russians still believe?
Take into account that Estonia has way less troops than Ukraine, no mid range air defense, no air force, no tanks, no vast artillery like Ukraine and has not have their army rotated through a warzone since 2014.
And we all know Germany and France would drink coffee and hold discussions for 8 months before sending a single additional tank to help. Maybe helmets and moral support though.
This would immediately lead to article 5 and the first thing that would respond is the air force. The VDV would have to defend in a place where Air Suppression systems for Russia basically don't exist.
They would shoot the planes down before VDV could even get into position for the jump.
Article 5, immidiate nuclear launch.
How did deploying the VDV to Hostemel go for them?
I think russia learned their lesson about invading countries that seem like easy targets
Also, does Russia even have any VDV left?
They are literally still trying to take over Moldova even though Ukraine has proven to be a complete blunder.
They don't have anything to threaten Moldova with, not even a flight path. The sewage they left in Transnistria can barely defend the area. The only thing they're trying is to infiltrate fifth columnists into their government.
>Estonian regulars
>2 UK Battle groups + Apaches + EF
>Frog deployment
>Danes
VDV doesn't exist now but if they did, it wouldn't be for too long
>Frog deployment
That’s good, someone will have to rescue the VDV from the the Baltic sea
What fricking VDV?
They've surely trained more by now. It's been more than an year since Hostomel.
>They've surely trained more by now.
Russia makes nothing, only sadness.
>training more
>when your troops keep dying
>can't reinstitutionalize knowledge because there's no one to hold on to it
They might be able to take the city, but they couldn't get much farther before NATO intervenes.
>They might be able to take the city
Carefully explain how.
The stench of the corpses would drive the inhabitants out.
>And we all know Germany and France would drink coffee and hold discussions for 8 months before sending a single additional tank to help.
We do? If my memory still serves me, France is the first state to send their own tanks into Ukraine.
France has sent zero tanks.
Why do you keep lying like this, Vanya? Are you not aware that vranyo isn't a thing outside Russia?
Finland is now NATO, so there would be half million angry finns removing vatnik in Tallin and drinking all the booze there before the first VDV even touches the ground
Have any photos emerged of the multiple downed IL-76 from the first claimed VDV drop?
>Do you think the Estonian national Guard and 5000 NATO troops could expunge them
Yes, especially now that Finland is in NATO
>What if Russia sad 'Frick it' and dropped the VDV on Tallinn.
The thing is, this scenario was actually discussed in Kremlin back in 2019, there were certain signs and evidence that Armed Forces were actually training for an operation like this, not only a drop in Tallinn, but also in Riga and Daugavpils, but then Putin decided that he wants Ukraine, not Baltics, and then the Covid happened, and then he did what he did. There were leaks about those preparations through Vladimir Osechkin (human rights activist and Gulagu.Net founder whose main source i
was Wind of Change, one or several mid-level FSB officers) and Valery Solovey (a former professor and a political scientist with some contacts in Russian elites). They also said that 2021 Belarus-Poland border migrant crisis was also initially planned as a part of that hybrid war, so that while the EU would have been distracted by migrants, Russia's sleeping agents in the Baltic states (minus Lithuania most likely) would rise up, be severely beaten up and then call on Russia to stand up for them. What's funny is that several years before that BBC made a short faux-documentary about an event like that which could have happened in Latgalia — the most Russified part of Latvia — called Inside the War Room, it's on Youtube, but in a low resolution.
>called Inside the War Room, it's on Youtube, but in a low resolution.
found it on dailymotion - thx, looks good.
>What if Russia sad 'Frick it' and dropped the VDV on Tallinn.
Thrre quarters of them are erased by NATO airforces and air defenses before reaching the drop zones. The shellshocked, demoralised and wholly combat-ineffective remainder are unceremoniously arrested by local police for littering.
what VDV
What if the estonians started shooting at the VDV
what would happen then
