What happened to Russians jamming HIMARS?

What happened to Russians jamming HIMARS? Few weeks ago both Western journalists and Russians were talking how Russians are now jamming HIMARS and shooting down everything else making it useless. Then Russia lost 600 million S-400 to HIMARS and after offensive on Zaporizhia started Russians constantly whining how Ukraine is wasting HIMARS to destroy Russian defensive positions, artillery, mlrs, ammo dumps

The jamming was BS from the start. As for interceptions, the Russians likely were able to start intercepting HIMARS rockets, but it's not a sustainable method because they're basically using up S-300s to shoot down basic b***h 227mm rockets with GPS guidance kits bolted onto them.

And it's likely that HIMARS strikes only started to intensify once the counteroffensive kicked off and the Russians started sending out mobilization orders and alerts to all their units, which NATO ISR intercepted and forwarded to Ukraine for targeting.

The jamming was not BS, I don't know where you people get this from. RUSI was reporting on this issue last month as part of reporting on improved Russian EW-countermeasures

Would this be the same EW unit captured at the beginning of the war? Would it not be likely that countermeasures to it are being rolled out?

As pointed out before, GPS jamming would have limited effect on GMLRS rockets because they also have built in INS.

They are being mostly jammed and intercepted. Occasionally you see an odd hit here and there, but their overall impact has greatly declined since January. Himars are not quite the boogyman they used to be.

Why are you so thankful that Russians are able to counter something that's been absolutely raping them. Nobody likes Russia but tankie losers and CHUG incels.

The footage it is picking up is FAR more important than anything it could drop down.

It also might have been out of ammo and just wanted to scout out enemy movements.

The reason you don't see many HIMARS hits so far is because the Russians evacuated the majority of their important facilities out of GMLRS range.

      >they're basically using up S-300s
I find this hard to believe, not gonna lie

Russia has made very public how they updated the software of their S-300s to intercept GMLRS. Also many of Russians more numerous but older systems like TOR are incapable of intercepting GMLRS rockets because they rely on semi-active guidance and GMLRS rockets tend to constantly drop off the radar.

How the frick do you jam HIMARS? Jamming GPS is REALLY hard. And even without GPS it's still a pretty precise artillery round on it's own. Especially because it can even map the location on it's own using environmental contours it sees on it's camera. They are not "remote controlled". They are programmed upon firing with a target coordinate and they will find it by themselves.

GMLRS does not have a camera. It does have an INS system which would only drift for a meter or two during the few minutes it would spend inside an unrealistically large GPS jamming area.

HIMARS is not Tomahawk, it does not have TERCOM, it's INS is still very accurate though

    >Russians constantly whining how Ukraine is wasting HIMARS to destroy Russian defensive positions, artillery, mlrs, ammo dumps
As a moderate, I feel compelled to mention that none of those items has an assessed value anywhere near that of a single M31A1 "Piñata of Doom".
But I must ask: is it really "wasted" if you feel a warm glow of satisfaction every time every time a Russian ammo dump turns into a festive fireworks display? Can we put a price on the sensation of fulfillment and purpose that arise from sending 182,000 tungsten fragments to puree several hundred mobiks on the wrong side of internationally recognized borders? Truly, there are some things that money just can't buy.
