Considering its a spiritual successor to the vickers tank its probably actually decent in terms of ergonomics, but in all other factors its probably at least half, if not a full generation behind western equivalents

If you look at the Arjun Turret vs the leo 2 turret they look similar.
On the left side is various optic systems, now on the leo 2 Because it occupies so much space they have armor behind it so that the left side and the right side of the turrets have near similar amounts of protection
On the Arjun... they do not. so the left side of the turret where the optics are located the armor is ~50% of the right side turret.
looking at the Arjun Mk2 they seemed to have gone with the abrams route of putting the optics higher up behind the frontal turret armor so that it has better frontal protection.

That diagram was made by a pole you subhuman mutt. There's no pic of the armour distribution of the arjun from india side. The slavshit serbhuman took the pic from a pole on defence forum india who just assumed the armour distribution while ignoring the dimensions of the actual turret which is far bigger than the actual leopard 2a4.
For comparison leopard 2a4 has a weight of 52 tons compared to arjun which has weight of 58.5 tons.
The 2a7 has a weight of 60 tons while the Arjun mk1a has a weight of 62.5 tons.
Arjun's turret is actually bigger than leopards turret. Dimensionlly it's far bigger. And the rendition used for the armour blocks was created by a fricking pole loo cleaner on a def forum. There is nocl credible info on armour distribution for the arjun it's all conjecture

Nothing that wrong with it, it's just a regular tank. Comparable to mid cold war tanks. It's a metal box with a gun. India just doesn't have the advanced tech a tank needs these days. They also don't have proper sewage infrastructure, and that doesn't help.
India is still buying tanks from Russia even though they have this.
As a boy of metal with a gun, it's good though. You can see the Russians themselves brought out their old t-62s, they're better than nothing, if you have nothing else.
The only thing India has going for it is slightly more expensive labour than China. If you want a slightly less PrepHole tier answer then designing a tank is (to use the technical term) really fricking complicated. It's something that even experienced engineers have trouble with. The Arjun looks good in media photo ops, but would probably lose to even the Chinese.
The only legit problem is the lack of armour behind the gun sight. The second biggest mistake was basing it around a leopard 2a4 instead of the Abrams or challenger
Also the OG version doesn't have blast doors but that has been fixed with CABIS.
The tank is decent. The ammunition can own chink shit and Soviet tanks. Plus it has a thermobaric munition so it might end up being superior to most western mbt's when it comes to anti-personnel missions.
It doesn't have the weakness of the challengers rifled gun(unlike clueless subhuman keep shilling about it). The Arjun's rifled gun has no relation with challengers rifled gun which needs three piece ammunition arjun like Abrams and other western MBT takes single piece ammunition. So it's apfsds can be further improved. Now it also has a fire and forget atgm too.
It's mobility is superior to Soviet tincan series.
