I can smell the banana peel/kerosene just looking at that picture.
I also instinctively check for where it leaked because the new plastic bottles they use always leak in the package and anywhere you store them if you don't leave it standing vertically. I wish they would bring the old glass bottles back.
just bought a bunch of Ester and Keton solvents, how the frick do I even bottle that shit up for selling? Maybe silicon or PTFE washers like i use inside Coomoil (NBR)
At least in the old orange Hoppes bottles that came in the kits, I think a ton of the bottles just reacted poorly to the chemicals. Like shrank or swelled or something. But also lol @ putting a solvent and penetrating oil in a bottle without a metal lid with a rubber seal built into the lid (like a ball jar). Like the 3-in-1 extendo straw bottle that NEVER STOPS LEAKING. That shit leaks when the TEMPERATURE changes. Seriously frick that bottle.
That's the first thing that happened when I saw this thread. I was remembering the smell for a second and then immediately panicked "OH GOD WHERE DID I PUT IT?" Kind of like those shitty 80s Hoppe's orange bottles in the cleaning kits. Always leak. Or the vintage outers bottles that 50/50 have already leaked over the contents of the cleaning kit. Who thought putting a plastic, or even glass, bottle of cleaning fluid sideways in a kit was a good idea? I barely trust Ball jars to not leak sideways and they're meant to be water/air tight.

Yeah what the frick is up with the leakage
Solvents and single layer HDPE are a bad combo for long term storage. There’s a reason your car’s blow molded gas tank has liner layers

Use a aerosol brake cleaner to clean out your action and then put a coat of this stuff on and that is all you need
Makes me break out in hives for some reason, had to stop using it
Reminds me I need to throw some ziplock bags in my tool box… last two bottles tipped and leaked..
The forbidden laffy taffy flavor

At least my patches are presoaked. I'll just have to use paper towel to dry everything.
Bring back the glass, I don't care if it doubles the price, I'll still buy it.
You can just empty it into a glass bottle you know.
I can smell it
I'm getting lighteaded
