What do you think about Canada's new camo CADPAT (Multi-terrain) replacing both CADPAT TW and AR.

What do you think about Canada's new camo CADPAT (Multi-terrain) replacing both CADPAT TW and AR. I think it's an improvment, TW was too green and really only worked well in rainforests.

I think they should spend their money on more militarily practical things

The Canadian Forces is one of the most wasteful paper tigers on the planet

Waste of money. CADPAT works great for their area. This is just chasing trends to make things look new and modern.

yes, the forces are an absolute fricking joke right now.
however, it's not quite as huge of a waste of money as it looks. they've needed to resupply on uniforms for years. soldiers were being issued used uniforms and other moronic shit like that. changing the pattern is a minimal additional cost

paper tiger usually refers to a force that's seen as large and impressive but has poor training and equipment in reality, we're almost the exact opposite; considered a small but elite well trained force when in reality we're no longer even that, we're more like a paper mongoose or something

posturing is a form of micro-aggression which is not tolerated in our new DEI standards. stop being a bigot.

OK sweetie maybe don't tell us how to use our military, we know what we're doing. We donated a bunch of Leopard tanks to Ukraine and yeah maybe they drove them straight into minefields the first week out but hey that's war if we want to come up with stylish new floral patterns instead of armoring soldiers or getting our rusted submarines working to defend our insanely vast coastlines that's OUR business, step off bud.

Canada spends money on their military?

They have the ability to buy 88 F-35s (3rd or 4th largest operator) but don't have a single SAM system, barely any tanks, and are just driving around in LAVs.
It's quite possibly the least capable military for a middle power state.

They are buying RBS 70 NG for the Latvia group

I think military spending is going to increase, 1/3 of Canadian now view national defence as a top priority. That's the highest it's been in a lifetime

Canada spends roughly US$ 300,000 per person in its armed forces, but their capabilities is nothing like say the UK and France

Well it's also a matter of a much smaller manpower pool.
CAF total personnel is 68k active and 27k reserve.

Trudeau is a gay and our forces are a joke. Any money he’s spending is being spent on the fact that we have the most top-heavy armed forces on the frickin’ planet and all our COs are pink haired wahmen who lecture us about how we can’t use the terms “warriors” or “fighters” to describe ourselves now because that’s “problematic”
Also all the HRT has gotta be getting expensive LMAO
They don’t even buy us boots and we have a higher percentage of homeless soldiers than any other country on earth because of our housing crisis
TL;DR: OUR WEIMAR-TIER DOLLAR LOSING VALUE BY THE DAY == MORE INVESTMENT IN ARMY

What's wrong with being a homeless soldier?
Why pay for rent if you're not going to be there most of the time?

This is a problem. Our money needs to go to needy migrants. They come here to work for us and we provide too little help. How are we going to support the three to four million per year?

They were gonna buy F35s, they even paid into it, then their PM cucked out of it. You'd think a country that's thousands of miles long could do with some decent aircraft.

America will just do it for us. If Canada falls America is in big trouble. It's a parasitic relationship that's been exploited by Canadian leftist politicians for decades. Most Canadians would actually welcome annexation if it didn't mean a whole bunch of future astronatus and brain surgeons moving up north to borrow our cars and women without asking.

Don't fault him for this, he played the hand he was dealt and did a good job. The b***hmade homosexual who followed him has GUTTED the military with queer inclusion strang waman bullshit and mandatory coof shots. Enlistment is at record low numbers and the only people joining are obese trannies looking for government bennies. Poilievre is going to assrape Turdeau in the next election and hopefully it'll help replenish the ranks and instill confidence in the future generations that a strong military is important.

I enjoy his candour; the way he belittles and bullies Trudeau in front of millions of people is refreshing because it's so justified. Not sure why you need to make things sexual, unless you're a classical homosexual in the tradition of Freddy Mercury and other famous goo gobblers.

It is well known that he is gay. in the tradition of Young Conservative dweebs like Kenney and Baird. Poilievre has a beard because the gay stuff made Baird ineligible for federal leadership and killed kenney after a single term

I think it's stupid how western militaries keep ditching their dark green camos entirely, they should keep at least some stock in case they have to actually fight in very lush areas. The Multicam colour scheme sticks out pretty bad in summer even in Western Europe

      Anonymous

in summer its decent in the fields, you got light brown grass and dry dirt, and light green grass, where it sticks out is in the woods, and in winter autumn where dirt is darker, but overall even where it doesnt fit that much it's still decent, it's a very good camo

digital camo looks jagged and unnatural and is only used because its slightly cheaper than regular camo.

If you die because someone catches the ragged edge of your shitty camo know its cause the government saved a literal fraction of a cent on manufacturing costs so you could die alone in whatever rural hell they sent you to.
