Nah, the weird part is driving off to a firing line where you're out of sight. The property is big so I get why but it still seems strange. But they're a really relaxed range, they'll let you shoot at all the different firing lines on your own after they've watched and confirmed you know how to handle a gun safely. Nice to shoot their steel targets without an RSO breathing down your neck.
I went to west Edmonton mall's indoor gun range and shot a 9mm with buddies. A quick 5 min safety talk from the range owner and he gave me a gun and bullets. It's awe inspiring how much energy is contained in those little brass casings. Sure you could try and use the gun on someone else but I'm white and the range owner and other staff openly carried so you also have to assume they can quick draw if need be.
The gun range I go to won't let you rent a gun unless you also bring your own gun. This way nobody kills themselves because they could just do it with their own gun.

I live about 10 miles south of Kennesaw Georgia, where every home owner is legally REQUIRED to own some sort of firearm.

Not an issue if you use a holster. You just have to be careful when you reholster not to snag the trigger on something. There are plenty of holsters though that you can easily remove from your belt, so you can reholster the gun off body for extra peace of mind. Personally though I carry DA.
If you carry for your job, you may need it in a split second and should carry with a round chambered but in the holster. Normal concealed carry citizen has time to rack the slide, but it should also be in a holster with a trigger guard.
If you’re in a high crime area, you might want to chamber a round for expediency.

PX4 is nice but I can't do the safety on thing. If I'm not carrying a revolver, it's gonna be my P-07 in DA configured as a dewienerer only. I know you can convert the PX4 to docker only, I've just never gotten around to it since the CZ works fine.

I still have a USP 45, maybe I'll convert that to dewienerer only with the V3 lever. $52 from HKparts. But if I converted the PX4 I could send it into Langdon tactical. As I understand it I can convert the PX4 without buying any additional parts. And an optics cut would be really sweet.
Just to make sure we are talking apples to apples, the storm comes in 2 flavors. Mine has a dewienerer and safety. The G mod dewieners only but springs the dewienerer back into firing position - no safety. I think the Langdon compact carry version has that feature stock.

Yep, mine also has a dewienerer and safety. But I want it to be dewienerer only so I can't accidentally engage the safety while carrying in DA. I could buy the lever from the G model but it is supposed to be easy to convert the regular model into dewienerer only, driving out a detent pin and spring or something similar. Looked into it a while ago. The P-07 came with both levers, which was based.

Don't! The 97B is a GREAT GUN! There's no need for the BD (dewienerer). The dewienerer fad is just that a fad. You can simply manually dewiener your 97B. AND unlike a dewienerer model, you can carry your 97B wienered and locked. Having that option alone means stick with a gun with the manual safety over a dewienerer gun. And remember on the CZ you cannot engage the safety when you're dewienered, so there's no worry about accidentally engaging the safety.
People who don't have around chambered might as well not even carry. You're clearly not competent and not trained enough to carry in the first place. I rented a machine gun at Pro Gun Vegas, we drove golf carts out to a firing line in the desert. One RSO drove ahead of us with the machine gun. Once he showed us how it worked he handed the gun to my friend and watched. A psychopath could easily turn around and shoot the guy (plus there were three of us). And given that it's a gun range, nobody would be suspicious until they realized the employee wasn't answering the radio.

Nah, the weird part is driving off to a firing line where you're out of sight. The property is big so I get why but it still seems strange. But they're a really relaxed range, they'll let you shoot at all the different firing lines on your own after they've watched and confirmed you know how to handle a gun safely. Nice to shoot their steel targets without an RSO breathing down your neck.

I went to west Edmonton mall's indoor gun range and shot a 9mm with buddies. A quick 5 min safety talk from the range owner and he gave me a gun and bullets. It's awe inspiring how much energy is contained in those little brass casings. Sure you could try and use the gun on someone else but I'm white and the range owner and other staff openly carried so you also have to assume they can quick draw if need be.

The gun range I go to won't let you rent a gun unless you also bring your own gun. This way nobody kills themselves because they could just do it with their own gun.
Indoor ranges here won't rent firearms to a solo person unless they also have a firearm of their own in their possesion.
I haven't been to an indoor range in years. They're only 25 yards here and honestly pretty pointless outside of sighting a handgun in.

I live about 10 miles south of Kennesaw Georgia, where every home owner is legally REQUIRED to own some sort of firearm.
The gun store down the road from me is enormous, has a huge indoor shooting range (they offer corporate 'team building' packages even) and they'll let you test fire the vast majority of their guns before you buy.
Oh, and Georgia is a no license state as of a few years ago, which is also nice.

Not an issue if you use a holster. You just have to be careful when you reholster not to snag the trigger on something. There are plenty of holsters though that you can easily remove from your belt, so you can reholster the gun off body for extra peace of mind. Personally though I carry DA.

If you carry for your job, you may need it in a split second and should carry with a round chambered but in the holster. Normal concealed carry citizen has time to rack the slide, but it should also be in a holster with a trigger guard.

PX4 is nice but I can't do the safety on thing. If I'm not carrying a revolver, it's gonna be my P-07 in DA configured as a dewienerer only. I know you can convert the PX4 to docker only, I've just never gotten around to it since the CZ works fine.

As I understand it I can convert the PX4 without buying any additional parts. And an optics cut would be really sweet.
Just to make sure we are talking apples to apples, the storm comes in 2 flavors. Mine has a dewienerer and safety. The G mod dewieners only but springs the dewienerer back into firing position - no safety. I think the Langdon compact carry version has that feature stock.
Yep, mine also has a dewienerer and safety. But I want it to be dewienerer only so I can't accidentally engage the safety while carrying in DA. I could buy the lever from the G model but it is supposed to be easy to convert the regular model into dewienerer only, driving out a detent pin and spring or something similar. Looked into it a while ago. The P-07 came with both levers, which was based.

Don't! The 97B is a GREAT GUN! There's no need for the BD (dewienerer). The dewienerer fad is just that a fad. You can simply manually dewiener your 97B. AND unlike a dewienerer model, you can carry your 97B wienered and locked. Having that option alone means stick with a gun with the manual safety over a dewienerer gun. And remember on the CZ you cannot engage the safety when you're dewienered, so there's no worry about accidentally engaging the safety.

When I carry in winter I have a pass-through in my coat or hoodie where I can reach from pocket to appendix carry. It's not ideal for some situations but for others, yes.

If you are carrying a small 380 or similar and you do NOT use a pocket holster, it does not take a lot to depress the trigger and fire the round.
