I was actually thinking about this for a "ww3 era militia skirmish game" that I was just brainstorming about
I was thinking helicopters since you could at least move guys around with them, maybe crop dusters but without munitions you could probably just use drones instead for that
The strongest thing is the thing they can reliably use.
During the Toyota war, the Chadians refused to accept foreign supplied tanks and artillery because they didn't know how to use it and knew they'd be shit with them.
>VBIEDs >IEDs >barrack buster style mortars / Syria hell cannons >dropper and suicide drones
Something I haven't seen used that I would be interested to see is having a decent sized solid rocket motor throw a glide vehicle high enough to give it a decent range while also using GPS guidance on the glide vehicle once it's slow enough to avoid CoCom Limits.
Drones dropping bombs, RC planes converted into guided missiles, RC jets converted into guided AA missiles, IEDs, targeted bombings, sniper hit and run attacks.
A technical is worth almost what an entire village makes in a year, anon.
>village
Who says we're talking about some bumfrick African country
The frick do you mean Zero budget, but not some bumfrick african country.
If you're in a wealthy country, and have enough men to be called a "militia" and not a "gang", you have a budget, by definition.
>if you're in a wealthy country you are wealthy
You stupid gorilla Black person, 50 average middle class men can scrape together hundreds of thousands of dollars.
>if you're in a wealthy country you are middle class
Irradiated cobalt. Apparently it sells for like a buck fiddy in the congo
IED's
Drones, rockets and simple missiles. Look at what they are using in Yemen. Also MANPADS
>Look at what they are using in Yemen
Yemen gets free shit from Iran, militias aren't typically state-backed.
Almost all militias are state backed, Anon.
A political program.
so, can you name us some successful militias which weren't state-backed?
The IED
The US Army wrote THE book on IEDs in 1969 while the hippies were busy getting high.
Thanks for sharing fgt
Nobody else knows about this extremely accessible book
You've really opened pandora's box
>How to Make Improvised Munitions
>Step 1: Find some C-4
>Step 2
>Step 2: draw the rest of the owl?
>zero budget
then they can't afford a fricking cheeseburger let alone a truck, are you moronic?
Looted T-64s.
Mortars, IEDs, EFPs, Radios, drones, anything optical related like scopes, NV, thermals, pistols, suppressors, and other things.
Depending on which state is backing them and how important the country is, they could have T65's and igla-s or some small arms and the odd dshka
* T64

>a zero budget

next stupid question
Chemical weapons
The strongest thing is the thing they can reliably use.

Rocks
Going by Vietnam and Hamas, a hole in the ground still works pretty well.

realistically: mortars, explosives, cheap drones and portable AT/AA stuff. anything that can't be loaded on a car is a no-no
3D printers and FPV Drones. Pic unrelated.
chemical IEDs from windex and bleach and numerous other commonly found detergents
Drones dropping bombs, RC planes converted into guided missiles, RC jets converted into guided AA missiles, IEDs, targeted bombings, sniper hit and run attacks.
>What are the strongest things a zero budget militia can field beyond a technical?
Assuming one of them has a physics degree and some time.
>implying ANYONE knows how to recreate Fogbank
Fertilizer truck bombs.
Dirt cheap, and very potent.
Downside is you have to sacrifice a truck and a lot of otherwise useful fuel.
