What are some behavior that would set off red flags by accident to gun store owners if you wanted to buy one?
I'm not evil, but I am a bit of an autist so I don't want to frick up too bad.
What are some behavior that would set off red flags by accident to gun store owners if you wanted to buy one?
I'm not evil, but I am a bit of an autist so I don't want to frick up too bad.
Just be white
>hello I am interested in *gun*
>hands you gun, may take driver's license
>don't point gun at salesman/other customers
>yes I would like to buy *gun*
>fill out 4473
>calls FBI
>stand there for 20 minutes while he waits on hold with the FBI
>sign paperwork
>exchange currency
>walk out the door with firearm
?????????????????????
All this. But particularly yes, the basic safety stuff. Don't flag people. Don't fiddle around moronicly with the gun, ask about whether you can point it at wall, about how to operate it if you don't know. Just have them walk you through it.
But if you get handed a gun and don't immediately start waving it around like a jackass you've accomplished job #1.
Also buy some some ammo there to be polite if you want but don't buy much it will all be a ripoff. Don't get suckered into meme calibers or anything, start with something normal. Don't buy accessories to start.
>Don't get suckered into meme calibers or anything, start with something normal. Don't buy accessories to start.
This can be a surprisingly big tip as well. The boomers at a LGS were particularly forward and pushy with some meme guns when my mother was looking for a gun. She's a tough customer, though, and knew what she wanted. Plus, she deferred to my judgement when they suggested something she didn't know about, so it worked out. But still.
"Hello, sir what type of firearm are you looking for?"
>"I-i want a gun please"
"Alright.. why dont you take a look at this glock over here?"
>As he tries to hand it to me I shove it back and quickly fish out my drivers license, emptying out my wallet all over the floor in the process
>He looks at me confused and hesitantly hands me the gun
>I wave it around the store like i saw in john wick, autistically moving the muzzle above peoples heads in an attempt not to flag them while holding it in a high compressed ready
>"Cool gun, can I buy it?"
"I dont know, sonny, can you?"
>"hAhAhAhAhA Sure I can hAhAhA"
>He gives me another hestiant look but hands me the form
>Finally finish filling out 4473 after the 4th attempt because i kept writing my name wrong
>He tells me to come back tomorrow to pick it up
>mfw
thanks for nothing, homosexual
>You walk into the gun store
>The man at the counter has long hair
>d-do you have m-mosin nagants
>He stares and hands you an ar
>Your shoelaces are untied
>You trip and fall on the floor
>You drop the gun and it malfunctions
>Dumps the whole mag across the store
>Spaghetti dripping out of your pockets
>You look up at the gun store man
>The last thing you see in your life
>Before he blasts you with a cheap 22 pistol
don't forgor to have your hospital of birth on hand so you don't have to look like a dweeb calling your mom like i did my first time
Why would they ask such a question??? Why wouldn't you remember where you were born?
its on the form you fill out for the ffl. I don't remember where i was born, i was literally less than 1 day old when it happened
I've don't half a dozen 4473s and don't remember ever being asked that question, I thought it was just which city?
looks like somebody's on a watchlist
I'm in Ohio, and apparently on more lists than I thought. I'll pay more attention next time I legally acquire a firearm from my local FFL.
idk, in IL both times I've filled it out ive been asked on the form. Better to have and not need, though.
Im a IL anon too and i never had to do that.
they are onto me
>tfw you forget to bring the mandatory lab-drawn blood, hair, and semen samples
>not providing them on demand
Shiggy diggy
>he still shops at an FFL that has to phone in
Caveman shit, I don’t even have an LTC and I’m out the door in around 10 minutes.
>he shops at LGS that use the internet, invented by glowBlack folk, to process 4473s
>probably has some keystroke logging software on it to backdoor a registry
ngmi
I’m sure every time they phone in your info/gun the guys at the FBI just forgot about it afterwards and delete all your personal and firearm info they entered into NICS to run the background.
are you insinuating that the proud, diverse professionals at the FBI would stoop so low as to do something unconstitutional that is expressly forbidden and has been ruled on multiple times by the supreme court? Are you some kind of ultra-MAGA extremist? That kind of talk is downright un-american, and you should be investigated for terrorism against marginalized communities of color
Make direct eye contact, dont stare, have clean teeth when you smile and laugh at their boomer jokes, dont laugh and smile creepily.
Don't try to put on airs. Have questions? Be new? Ask. Do some research, but if you're going into an LGS and don't know just fricking tell 'em.
>"Hi, I'm new to guns, I have done some research and have some idea that I'm after roughly this, here's my budget, what do you think I should do? Know any good ranges or courses? Places with rentals?"
Etc. Don't try to pretend and act like you know shit you don't. Nervous? Own it. If they give you shit or try to upsell you find somewhere else they're homosexuals. Most places though should be fine trying to help a decent normal customer who isn't acting like a dick. It's not some big deal so don't treat it like one. It's like you needed help buying a lawnmower or something.
Dress decent and normal if you need the confidence boost. I don't know how much of a fricking sperg you are.
This.
Also don't overthink, in my experience most spergs spiraling out of control in public seem to come from overthinking and then overcompensating based on that overreaction.
>Also don't overthink, in my experience most spergs spiraling out of control in public seem to come from overthinking and then overcompensating based on that overreaction.
Right, which is also why the safety advice and taking things slow is a good one. It's easy to see ahead of time
>do something fricktarded like thoughtlessly flag another customer
>get gun yanked away/yelled at
>spill spaghetti, run/stutter out the store
That's the only spiral that they're really going to care about. Being a newguns is fine, just respect that and don't try to pretend it's a video game or action movie. Everyone would rather someone who starts too cautious than starts too dumb. Memorize the basic gun safety rules.
>This can be a surprisingly big tip as well
Yeah I mean let's be honest, end of the day, if you go to someplace reputable with a basic but not poverty cheapskate budget (I dunno these days, $500-800 maybe?), spend it ALL on gun no accessories, and get something recommended in 9mm or 5.56, you simply aren't likely to go TOO wrong. You'll have zero issues affording or finding ammo. Even if you ultimately upgrade or change to something else you won't likely have any issue selling what you got either. It'll be nice and "boring", in a good way. Can go from there.
Being a vatnik
For real tho what are you even supposed to do with it when they give it to you to inspect. I always just stare at it for a couple seconds and hand it back
drop the mag
pull the slide back
release the slide
pull the trigger
press check
I’d ask permission to dry fire first, some places (usually big box stores) are weird about that. If it’s a smaller mom and pop place they’ll most likely let you do it, I’d just ask to be respectful.
Not this anon, but personally if I’m gonna dry fire a gun at a store I’m pretty sure I’m gonna buy it already and it’s just to be sure I don’t hate the hell out of it… if you pick up every gun to try and dry fire the frick out of it I feel like you’d piss off whoever’s helping you.
Hold it? Feel how the weight balance is? How it operates, where the controls are and how they move? Dry fire, see if the trigger is decent? Like what you are after here anon, you're trying to find a gun you like and feels good to you.
If you've never shot it's probably really best if at all possible to find a rental place and pay the money to try a few different guns and get up to speed on that.
they'll probably let you handle some stuff just don't act moronic and go around pointing it at anyone and you'll be fine. It helps to know what you want going in, I wanted to build my first AR and just wanted a lower and they tried selling me on a Colt and Daniel Defense. They're salesman so don't feel pressured.
What gun do you want to buy, first off
Like other anons said, if you are nervous, say you are literally new to buying guns and by God, a gun store will do its best to sell you a gun unless you that gun store is for some reason located in a Hippie Commune.
>I’m new to guns and want to buy (x gun you are interested in)
Do not take the first offer, but you should research the gun you want, there are generals on here that may help you like AR’s or AK’s. As much as they want to sell you a gun, they are probably trying to frick you because you are new.
You have the power to say no
If you are too autistic to say no, say ‘it looks scary’ or some shit to get you out of it, you are new to handling guns
>it doesn’t feel right
>I don’t like how the back part hurts my hand
>why does this grip have a stupid triangle coming out the front
If you are scared you’re going to frick up when they give you a gun to look at, ask them how to handle the gun safely before they put it in your hands.
>can you show me how to hold it safely?
It is their job to help you, they are trying to sell you a gun.
Everything you said also
>>I’m new to guns and want to buy (x gun you are interested in)
>Do not take the first offer, but you should research the gun you want, there are generals on here that may help you like AR’s or AK’s. As much as they want to sell you a gun, they are probably trying to frick you because you are new.
Tell them right straight up front "and I'd like to hold a few different ones." Some people are buying a gun and all scared/weird about it and they just want to be handed one gun and then they buy it and go home and put it in a drawer or something. Make clear up front that you're looking for a real shooting gun that you want to practice with, and do want to try multiple stuff. That'll help make sure they don't expect you to pick the first one at all, and also is an incentive, because it means you may become a repeat customer if you're happy.
You're there to buy a gun, not to hang out, idiot.
Just don't going pointing it around randomly and don't drop your spaghetti
>50 g-gyrojet please
>What are some behavior that would set off red flags by accident to gun store owners if you wanted to buy one?
they ask what the gun is for and you say something stupid, like using a caliber to hunt you're not allowed to use
They don't like it when it looks like you don't know what you're looking for, walk outside for a moment while on your phone, then walk back inside now kind of seeming like you know what you want.
If you're a visible leftist I and most other gun store employees will not sell to you and will excuse it with "he had a bad vibe like a school shooter or a suicide".
Kek, based and true.
This. I had someone with the gay black and red flags on their backpack come in one and try to buy a taurus with the most obnoxious, braying numale voice. I pretended to run his paperwork, then told him he had been denied and that we didn't know why. I'm not selling a communist a gun, even a taurus.
you are based and if you were my LGS I'd only buy from you.
Absolutely this. You vote to put me out of business, I don't want your business.
On top of what everyone else said, dress like a normal middle class individual, clean jeans and a shirt that's actually in your size and doesn't have anime shit on it, if you dress like a teenager as a 20-something year old in a gun shop people will automatically get school shooter vibes from you.
>do some research. compare on fuddbroker, cdnn, bud's, etc. know roughly what a fair price is for the gun (at any sporting goods store in my area it's going to be well below MSRP unless it's some kind of rare collectable)
>feel free to ask questions about the features of the gun
>feel free to try out different ones and see what you like.
>ask their opinion on the gun. they probably sell dozens of identical models, if the latest run has problems people will b***h to them about it.
>do not flag anyone with the barrel
>don't start ratfricking the slide or dryfiring
>have a valid ID
>take your time reading the questions on the form so that you don't have to ask for a new one like a tard
That's about it. It's a simple transaction and they are there to help. Sometimes owners will price gouge but I have never heard of a gun store employee working on commission, they aren't very motivated to frick you.
don't give this guy advice, he's a lipass homie and diddles kiddies
Source?
Show him this picture of your collection.
nice sticker
any bros?
Loudly reassure them that you're not planning on shooting anyone and definitely not any schools, and that even if you sometimes get really angry at those little shits and society and hate their frolicking and want to get revenge against everyone and it just makes you SO MAD but you'd never ACTUALLY do it!! It's been in the news these days and everyone is a bit concerned so the whole store will really appreciate you reassuring them on that one! Then say you want one of those "assaulter weapons" with the BIGGEST CLIP.
Be sure to come tell us about how well it went after.
I bought this at the store. Should I get a drum magazine as well?
Yes, AK-chan, you should get a bipod if you are going to get a drum mag, and a hard reset trigger or some sort of legal full auto solution as well. Then you can be the squad's designated light machine gunner in the militia.
Thanks, I'll look into that.
Lippers are domestic terrorists. Do not sell them guns.
That's the Lizturds. Lippers are awkward but ultimately harmless.
Then why the frick would he want to buy a gun? Mentally ill lipper.
Nothing wrong buying guns in itself. It's just a tool. Lots of normal people buy guns.
>tool
Do you think a frail lipper would use a gun to hunt anything that could feasibly fight back?
What else can you use a gun for other than harming other things? Threatening the US government then going to jail like mexiliz?
Wild boars, rabbits, deer. Those are common animals people hunt and in many countries, they're pests while also a good source of lean meat.
>Do you think a frail lipper would use a gun to hunt anything that could feasibly fight back?
I don't think a lip poster could fight back against anything with a pulse bwo...
Why are you on /k/ exactly?
Fighting back against the lip menace.
You've entered a thread made by one of the most notorious shitposters of a general on /vg/
I am sorry we have inflicted this upon your peaceful and magical place.
Lipper got banned for a month for threatening to kill someone
Wasn't the guy who made the bomb post a lipper or was he a bbitch?
Lipper
Lippers are already on all the lists then. He's fricked.
Mishandle any gun in front of them that you're examining, violate basic gun safety. Talk like a moron to them. Flag them or someone in the store with it, then get argumentive with them if they say something. Ask fun questions like "How many bullets does a full automatic clip hold?" "If I put a laser sight on this, how much do laser-guided bullets cost?" Be creative, don't hold back.
>If I put a laser sight on this, how much do laser-guided bullets cost?
Asking the needful questions right here. If I'm going through the trouble to install a laser sight, I need to budget for laser-guided ammo.
Also, can I use a laser sight to burn a hole through someone instead of buying laser-guided bullets? Might save a frickton on ammo right there.
Does the laser anon post here? I see him on /b/ and /misc/ talking about illegal retina searing laser home defense.
>lippers
>Lippers
wtf new flavor of homosexualry is this?
this guy is actually an undercover lipper
you won't escape
Passionlip is a character from Fate/Extra CCC. She is often called Lip for short.
A derogatory term to refer to her shitposting fans is Lipper. Lip Black person.
Lipbros are peaceful. They only want to spread Lip love.
spreading love with a gun? are you going to kiss each bullet before using them on innocent kids?
Guns are only dangerous if you don't treat them with care and respect. Just like Lip.
shut the FRICK UP you WORTHLESS FRICKING LIPPER
The only good Lipper is a dead Lipper.
Does /k/ like the dragunov? How do you feel about it being used by a welsh king/maid in a swimsuit on a motorcycle?
SVDs are basically unobtainable in the USA...
I had a feeling this might be the case. Made for a good headline once though.

Checks out
Are you that same anon who avatargays with this shit in all the isekai threads?
Frick, you are.
>Passionlip is a character from Fate/Extra CCC. She is often called Lip for short.
>A derogatory term to refer to her shitposting fans is Lipper. Lip Black person.
oh it's some new fricking anime thing. thanks for telling me anon. remember hearing years ago /vg/ was a massive den of homosexuals even for PrepHole. appears correct.
>new
lol no. It's vidya and ancient.
looks like anime to me
son have no problem with the ak anons they always seemed like decent enough fellas who don't do triphomosexualry and know when their cartoons are being silly about firearms or not. but you look back through this thread when suddenly your /vg/ kind appeared and tell me that shit smells like roses and I'm telling you to stop spending money on those gambling phone games for porn pictures and buy some more ammo and decent boots, pack, supplies and get outside and go shooting.
Anime isn't a style, it is a medium. Drawings made by Japanese people are not anime by default. The origin of this franchise is a video game and the characters posted are all video game originals.
Saying 'suddenly /vg/ appeared in this thread' is ignorant, the OP is /vg/. The 'AK chan' is an avatargay name Rham and is against everything PrepHole stands for.
>buy some more ammo and decent boots, pack, supplies and get outside and go shooting children.
what did this lipper mean by that?
also, anime site.
anime website
lip website
moot was a famous lip poster
moot preferred Asuka, he's a Meltgay if anything.
No. Asukachads are Rinchads this was established decades ago.
I was tunnelvisioned into thinking only of the Sakura 5. Yes, Rin is obvious if all girls are allowed.
Lipper moment.
I walked into a gun store last week and before they'd let me buy the gun, the FBI flagged that I posted on /fgoalter/. I had to show them my grails to prove I wasn't a Lipper or Liz terrorist before they'd sell to me...
They let you buy a gun but in compensation you can't be within 5kms of any kindergarten.
I don't have a grailed Abigail
>within 5kms
> "kms"
ESL muttard larping as a eurocuck. Many such cases.
>It's a "moronic lipper can't hold back from attentionwhoring and shitposting to the point of going to other boards to do it" episode
dumb lipper
DO NOT let Lippers know you can find full auto Glock switches online that get shipped right to your door. They're very illegal and dangerous individuals should definitely not be notified of their existence.
Just buy online. I have rarely found what I want at a physical location I couldn't find cheaper online, even after shipping and transfer fees. Have it sent to a nearby store, tell them you are there to pick up, fill out your 4473, then be on your way. He'll, you could even tell them you have to run an errand and to call you when the background check goes through, then sit and wait in your car until they call if you don't wanna stand around the store waiting.
the only people who get red flagged are senile old dudes who are acting aggressive. pretty much every red flag confiscation has been justified.
Rin is shit
Rin has a dagger and exploding gems, while Sakura has shit and worms. Rin is clearly more suited to /k/
Rin is attractive and has personality. Sakura is a wall flower for 2 out of three routes.
>hurr durr anime is for gays lol
>posts in a weeb deject website
what does /k/ stand for?
Kengeki, which means anime arms.
keisatsu, nipspeak for weapon
Koikatsu
I seem to either be too drunk to find it, or didn't save it, but there is an excellent screenshot about why boards are named what they are and why PrepHole is PrepHolenime
/a/nime
/b/oryaku - random
/k/eisatsu - weapons
/h/entai - cartoon porn
/d/oujin - fan made cartoon porn
/l/oli - frick any other iteration of /l/
theres a frickload of it
>but there is an excellent screenshot about why boards are named what they are
Here you go anon.
>bouryaku
>のおりゃく
That's not even how you write ぼうりゃく(謀略). Also that means strategy. Did mean 暴力? That means violence/mayhem, but doubt that's still quite right. Why not just ランダム, the borrow-word?
>なぎなた
That's naginata, the polearm... What does that have to do with transport?
>けいさつ
Keisatsu means police? Weapons = police? Is this all just random glossary at this point?
>どうじn
Couldn't even write doujin properly... 同人 "same person" refers to self-publication and it's not necessarily hentai.
>えcっひ
For frick's sake, it's えっち!!
>めっか
Unless we are talking about the city of Mecca, mecha is written メカ.
>同人 "same person" refers to self-publication and it's not necessarily hentai.
Doujin doesn't mean hentai and never has. Oldgays know this. just because /d/ is full of porn and deviant shit today that doesn't mean anything.
I think that's his point.
>Doujin doesn't mean hentai and never has.
Yeah, glad you agree with me. Doujin is just an umbrella term for self-publishing. Doujin can be hentai, and hentai can be doujin, but not all doujin is hentai and not all hentai is doujin.
For example, the Touhou games ZUN made by himself could be considered doujin. Some fan could make a fan-made hentai of those games and it could also be doujin. Then someone could be make a game in a large game development studio company and that would not be a doujin project. Then someone could work for a professional hentai magazine and that would also not be doujin work.
moot said it stands for kill
Servants that deserve to be shot more than lip?
two lips
bb, since she made Lip
Don't do this
My friend got baker acted once and he still bought a gun.
Do you know what board this is? Everyone here who has picked up a FFL transfer has went off on a rant about why DPMS AR-10s are shit and b***hed out some register jockey who tried to sell them some piece of shit that's shit and not worth having until the manager came out and asked them to calm down and please stop b***hing about how much their inventory sucked ass.
>Ayyo homie you got dem 40 clips?
>No I said fawty not fawty five...
>homie I just need a 40 clip
>Cuz I need them 30 rounders wid the Glock switch
>Nah maigne not a hi point a GLAWK homie
I've never bought a gun at a gun store. Not even accessories.
But I've bought guns online and picked them up at gunstores
Better this way
This, do your research beforehand and you'll rarely need to step foot in a store. Find cheaper deals that way too
Lippers are a dangerous breed
