i hate it. watching american diy videos left me deeply perplexed when it came to drywalls. so you'll install literal panels on top of perpendicular wooden studs, and between these studs there's nothing but air, first time i heard about "stud finders" i thought i was on the wrong website! the fact that you can literally punch through your walls makes it no different from living in a pretend doll house. if i tried this shit with my walls my knuckles would bruise.

Seriously, though again, I think the germans make a dedicated welder's filtration system, no irony intended. I've seen people wear masks, like ventilation masks, under their welding helmets. That's a step in the right direction. I've also seen trained welders not take proper precautions welding galvanized. Of course, since I was there, I opened the garage doors and wheeled the giant fan they were provided with, into place.
