I thought the weekly threads were on sundays

just roll the catch-up chatter about the prior week's video into the thread you make this sunday, you utter donkey.

if you can't manage to schedule a weekly thread, on the videos of a guy who currently operates on a weekly release schedule, to fall weekly, you do not yet have the competencies of a fully-functioning adult and you should not be discussing the finer points of military r&d.

You need to have video of trackmania in the background for zoomers to watch something

the big brain move is to play the background videogame yourself

I mean, we also have M1299, coming with autoloader in 2025/6 and 110km range with XM1155 rounds.

RAP is cringe and high velocity barrels are a dead end, even with 2030 metallurgy the barrel life for EFC is mediocre and the extra range is useless against the spam of loitering drones.

          Anonymous

Laser air defense systems will be used against drone swarms anyway

            Anonymous

Or just remove the barrel. Replace it with a simple booster, keep the 155mm shell and its PGM fuze.
For +900 m/s barrels are inferior, BB already has a large reduction of the HE filling, RAP is cope.

Daily reminder that Perun is a literal nobody ex-gaymer who livestreamed DOTA 2 before Ukraine became his new, lucrative grift.
He has no military or academic credentials, he has never "worked in procurement", and it shows, since his videos are nothing but a midwit-tier collection of scraps from Reddit and Twitter assembled for low IQ subhumans who can't comprehend what's happening.

Those of higher intellect have learned Polish and follow Wolski and other subject matter experts.

I liked this thread better the first time.

This one was easily one of his worst videos, largely because it's borderline clickbait. I'd rather him talk about logistics and procurement.

Russia seems to be losing quite a few SPGs recently, is that something they're in any danger of running out of or does ammunition production and logistics remain the bottleneck?

      Anonymous

Ammo always is the bottleneck. Artillery can fire +100 shells a day (less than 30 minutes non stop), nowadays russia firing around 20k rounds per day, including rockets and mortars, negligible because that's the equivalent to 100 barrel life a day.

      Anonymous

Russia inherited millions of shells from the soviet union. They couldn't run out even if they tried.

They are importing from North Korea last I heard.

spaniel treats war like it's some shitty off-brand tabletop game you play when all the MTG tables are already going at the comic book store on a game night. his academic publications are similarly juvenile. acts, thinks, and writes like an ambitious undergrad, not a prof.

you can watch the ex-PM of finland talk about the politics of the war on youtube now if you really want that. https://youtu.be/HLXFvlwJQvw

there's no need to dwell on sperglords who think it's a grand & gay old time to hide putin and zelensky in their vids like this shit is a joke.

if you want generalist news on the conflict, the telegraph's podcast is fine. if you want digestible video sitreps, this guy is the only one worth following atm. he doesn't get all the shit wrong that every journalistic outlet fricks up, bc he's a historian by training, not a journalist / frickup by training. https://youtube.com/@militaryandhistory

and once again frick all of you for being so addicted to e-drama that you tried to do the weekly thread again, mid-week, just to bait hostile responses from zigs. shoot a varmint or something similarly enriching instead of this shit.

Telegraph was an interesting one for daily updates, but watching it filled my recommendations with British hyper-partisan political shit. I hate the algorithm so much.

i bookmarked the playlist and blocked the channel itself, with an extension i use that obliterates anything annoying. frick all that.

recommendation engines are always gonna be like this as long as their main principle of operation remains moron-connectionism. youtube's system in particular suffers from an incredibly busted property where no amount of ignoring content functions as a weight - you MUST interact negatively to tell the engine that you don't want to interact at all. when it spams you with 80%+ of some new dogshit just because you added a vaguely-related subscription, spam not interested & never show channel a few times or youtube will never figure it out.

no fix for gaming and sports. just don't show google any evidence you might like either of those

Same for me but with Times Radio. I thought hearing the opinions of retired Gererals about Ukraine was interesting, but couldn't care less about whatever the frick Boris Johnson said at a tea party last summer.

OP really isn't wrong calling these seethe threads lol. They're like catnip for malding Vatniks.

On topic, I'm glad to hear the US army is closing a land based fires gap, if only because of the likelihood of seeing a repeat of this whole scenario where the US needs to arm another nation to fight, and so can't use its air dominance.
