OP never suggested this offered some sort of tactical advantage or was the optimal home defense or anything at all, he just started a "bored weapons" fun thread with a sword and home made silly shield. How did you immediately get from that to OP dying in a robbery, vs just getting out his gun in that case?
I've made stupid things in the past too like a home made rocket launcher with an old pipe, estes rocket motors and old cherry bombs. I have no illusions about it being an effective defense thing it was just fun. I know people who do medieval weapons fighting larp and they're a hoot, they don't think it'll let them teleport behind a thief and defect bullets but they're fit and have a good time. I'd like to see more of anons fun home made stuff on /k/ no matter how simple and dumb, isn't it good to be actually doing real world stuff particularly for free?

Based bug blaster. The big CO2 powered one that looks like a revolver is stupidly fun, if you haven't bought one. Just be careful about shooting things point-blank. My family and I have so far managed to take the finish off a cabinet, some of the texturing off the ceiling in their room, and the paint off a slat in a plantation shutter.
