Most basic b***h AR is a S&W M&P15 Sport or Ruger AR556. That's not because they're bad per se, but they are cheap pre-built rifles that people who want an rifle but don't care about guns buy.
If they were merely poor they'd build a PSA for a couple hundred bucks less and spend that money on an optic or ammo. If they have money, they still get one of those two because they don't want to spend the extra bucks even if it really does give them a lot for it (like a nice mid tier WW with chrome lining).
DD is somewhat basic in that it's a popular nicer tier more expensive rifle, but it's still quite expensive. That price tag is a significant npc filter, although admittedly not a complete one. It's like the Mercedes C Class or BMW 3 series of rifles as opposed to a Toyota Corolla.

Daniel Defense is just an easy go to for someone just getting into rifles that wants something of high quality that they don't have to build themselves. Essentially, if you want a good out of the box gun get a DD.
Where I live the gun market is so fricking moronic that $2,300 is the standard for a pre-ban Colt from 1989 so paying that same amount for a brand new RIS 3 was an easy decision.

Here's how you fix it. Remove all DD logos and parts, except the rail. Preferably, build it with all proper colt parts.
But colt is absolute shit. DD is several tiers above. Hopefully CZ can unfrick them. But it's not a high chance.
