Oh, he's pure comedy, Anon. Imagine Armchair Copelord with the delusional tankie bullshit cranked up eleven. Picrel: this is a man who will spend Wednesday reiterating his unshakable confidence in the pompous garbage he spewed on Monday, no matter WHAT happens on Tuesday.
He's so consistently and smugly up his own ass that I can't figure out if it's an elaborate troll or not.

Ok fair but WHO is he? Why do vatniks or tankies even listen to him? Has he written a book? Or is he just another Hinkle? Meaning, has never done anything of note except being a literal FSB kompromat asset.

Echo chamber/comfort through times of trouble, I guess? When even RWA, Copelord and Geroman have thrown in the towel and sobbed themselves to sleep, pro-RF partisans can always rely on Mr. Schryver to calmly and pompously predict that this is ALL part of the inevitable Russian victory, and that reality isn't real.
I mean, check the date in picrel: after this jackass spent insinuating that the humiliating Russian retreat from Kharkiv was all an elaborate matryoshka orchestrated by the genius intellects of the Russian Armed Forces, he pivoted to proclaim that their finest hour was about to arrive... just in time for them to flee Kherson.

Oh, there's gems like this sprinkled all throughout his blogging and post history. Like in OP's post, where he refers to the Black Sea flagship, a Project 1164 Atlant class "carrier-killer" that would cost around $750 million to replace, as "the old cruiser Moskva".
It's honestly one of the reasons I ALMOST believe it could be intentional satire.

What what gets me about this cope is basically all the heavy hitting surface combatants of the Russian Navy are old Soviet Era shit. If all that stuff is considered expendable* garbage, what about the Russian Navy's surface fleet is supposed to be impressive?
                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_Russian_Navy_ships

*And it really isn't. Russia hasn't laid down a surface combatant heavier than a frigate for decades.

To be fair to them, what exactly is Russia going to use a surface fleet for in the foreseeable future?
Their soviet land stockpiles are absolutely neutered, their air force flies as far as you can throw it and their allied nations have been reduced to fricking NORTH KOREA.
All in all even if every rinky dink rust museum in the Russian navy uhh... returns to port under it's own power then that would genuinely be a net benefit to the Fed or it's coastal successor states because navies are horrendously expensive.

                >If all that stuff is considered expendable* garbage, what about the Russian Navy's surface fleet is supposed to be impressive?
It's the vatnik doublethink at work: anything that HASN'T been sunk is clearly an invincible triumph of the superior Russian MIC. Anything that GETS sunk is instantly retconned into obsolete Soviet-era trash that they were going to decommission anyways, xaxaxaxa; the enemy wasted a missile in unwittingly making room for the new and improved vessel that will humble the decadent Wect, and they'll be laying the keel any day now.
It's pretty easy to extrapolate their cope further than the navy. These idiots can pivot from a decade of breathless T-14 hype to immediately insist -- with a deadpan lack of irony -- that "a tank is a tank". And I think a lot of them actually believe it. Meanwhile, I still can't type the phrase "T-55 obr.2023" with a straight face.

It also shows how much of a Utah bumpkin yokel this dude is. Why would multiple high-ranking officers *in Europe* choose such a boring and overpriced champagne? Sure, it's a decent to good wine, but the wine industry has moved on from the 60s and French wine is slowly being re-evaluated as not being the holy grail of wine anymore. Hell, even the fricking Balkans are starting to pump out decent wines.

I read it as an attempt to be poetic by deliberately calling them by an archaic name in that pseudo-cultured affect some vatniks try to put on. It's like referring to Germans as Teutons/Teutonic which you occasionally see.

A Russian's view of the world is infinitely interesting.
The defensive alliance created to stop THEIR imperialist expansion is a Saturday morning cartoon villain-esque organization hell bent on conquest.
                Britain controls the world.
                The israelites are German supremacists
Every country bordering them is simultaneously both poor and stole all the wealth from noble Russia.
America is a post-apocalyptic tribal society in contstant open revolt against it's totalitarian (German supremacist) israeli state leaders.
The Poles are currently launching an invasion on Ukraine to take land.

The most hilarious bit about it is that NAZIisraelite is not a new boogeyman for Russians.
A metric shit tonne of ''middle-eastern hebrews'' are actually just Polak-Russians larping real hard with the majority of Ashkenazim (that is ''german israelites'') actually being oppa blyad vodka kuda? slavs.
So the USSR genuinely believed that these israeli slavs would side with the comintern in the cold war and to nobody's surprise but theirs the israelites told them to shove it.
And that's the story of how the israelites became the nazis. L'chaim Hitler.

                Anonymous

Their view of nazis had nothing to do with israelites, unlike western israelite victim dominated narratives (I'm not even being conspiratorial). The only thing Russia has an interest in in demonising the nazis was that they were invaders of Russia and betrayers of an alliance to capture Poland. They do not give a frick about the israelites in this context, they only care about their war dead in history.
Remember Russia also killed a frick ton of israelites after the war, and killed a ton more in gulags so they would leave to Israel and create the new israeli state, they have no interest in promoting "Nazi = kill israelite = bad" since that would implicate themselves as well, they prefer to ignore it and focus on the invader, betrayer, murderer narrative.
Histories priorities change depending on countries narratives and desires to shape history.

Britain is the only remaining power that Russia fought a war with, and never actually got payback on. They beat France, they beat Japan, they beat Germany, but they NEVER won a war against Britain. They're still mad about the Crimean War.
Also, Britain at least seems beatable to them. Even the most krokodil-addled vatnik can recognise that they can't win a straight fight against America.

they unironically bought into the Mein Kampf argument that Britain plays the Continental powers like a puppetmaster, plus there's a lot of Empire envy because Russians look at the British Empire and think "I coulda binna contender", plus Crimean War angst, plus the USSR massively output frickheaps of anti-British propaganda because Britain was regarded as the enemy of Communism AND they helped the White Russians

always bear in mind that when Stalin was informed that Hitler was invading, his first response was "impossibru it must be a perfidious anglo trick!"

The main benefit of sinking ships at this point is probably not the immediate military value, but the impact it has on shippers and insurance companies considering the Ukraine trade and risk of Russian interception at sea. That leaves just the air threat which as you say is significantly reduced already.

It's also the kind of thing they can take as a provable success to the US, France, UK, etc when asking for more missiles and artillery shells.

That's because they can actually read the reports and it is quite impossible not to reach that conclusion. People like this guy literally get handed runsheets from their handlers and have no ability to actually view firsthand information or speak Russian at all.

        >People like this guy literally get handed runsheets from their handlers
I genuinely don't believe that American vatniks like Schryver or Copelord are literal Russian assets getting handed canned lines. I think guys like these are just your basic U.S.-based U.S.-hating zealots who support anything they can spin as a win against "the crumbling American Empire." They're not pro-Russia so much as they are boosters for absolutely anything anti-USA.
That's my explanation for their disconnect from the official Russian party line: when the Russian MoD downplays bad news, the Russian Telegram accounts go through mood swings but parrot the official story; Copelord and Schryver and the like are free to blithely ignore anything that doesn't fit their narrative of a "U.S. weak and bad, and I'm a genius who can't be fooled like you sheep".

Meaning they can't say, blockade interdict-shipping outside of Ukraine's one remaining major shipping port in Odessa? I'm sure that the Ukrainians managing that kinda of area denial is entirely inconsequential.

Fricking THIS - a successful attack by USVs on a surface ship in internal waters of Crimea is not a good thing for Russia. And the inability to make good on their promise to close Ukraine's grain trade is probably one of the top three strategic wins to date for Ukraine alongside the Kyiv axis withdrawal and the liberation of Kherson

The fact Ukraine can basically ship grain, steel coils, and ore through it's ports again shows just how cucked the Black Sea Fleet has become.
Losing Snake Island was bad, the Moskva worse, and the succeeding losses and damages have basically made them incapable of blockading Ukraine altogether.
Most of their remaining frigates and corvettes are either in the Baltic Sea/ Mediterranean now or hugging the East coast of the Black Sea around Novorossiysk.
They also lost a valuable S-300VM that would have allowed them to hit ships from Crimea as well, and Saky/Belbek/Dzhankoi in Crimea are just craters and incapable of supporting aerial patrols, not to mention Ukraine hunts for them when they fly near their coast.
I honestly hope that admiral Sokolov is dead, if I was him I would rather be dead than deal with the humiliation that is the BSF.

The main benefit of sinking ships at this point is probably not the immediate military value, but the impact it has on shippers and insurance companies considering the Ukraine trade and risk of Russian interception at sea. That leaves just the air threat which as you say is significantly reduced already.

I mean it's true that russia losing a corvette doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Calling the Slava class cruiser "old" is more of a comment on the Russian military, seeing as it was the fricking FLAGSHIP of the fleet.
It's not going to tip the balance of the war, but it's a fricking biblical grade humiliation for Russia and makes them look weak and incompetent. It also shows that their big missile cruisers which are the offensive backbone of their navy are just crusty old shitters. I don't think they have produced anything that compares to the Slava since the downfall of ther USSR and it was sunk with a single harpoon equivalent missile.
TL;DR the cope is accurate enough that merking the black sea fleet isn't changing the situation on the ground too much, but that doesn't stop it being a fricking disaster for russia

  22. 3 months ago
    Anonymous

Sure a missile corvette isn't the same as the totally not needed and anyways not at all sunk Moskva, but I will enjoy the destruction of russian assets anyway and it is less stuff they can sling at Ukraine.
Hopefully it wasn't just russian material assets getting destroyed but Russian military personel getting killed, while one may also enjoy the thought of that leaving some russian widows and orphans back home I'd prefer if they died before spawning more russians as I am nothing but a moderate in these questions.

      It's honestly correct for pozziya
Even at their peak their only overseas ally was Cuba

The only thing is... if you have no navy you have to admit you're not a superpower... because power projecting across thr globe is what a superpower does.
So puccia builds absolutely shit tier worthless navies that gain them nothing. Its an entire nation of four year olds and past time they ended.

That's not even true. They had allies in Asia (Vietnam) and Africa (Libya) and the Middle East (Israel for a while until they figured they could israelite more out of the U.S., Syria).

New cope about the Black Sea Fleet just dropped

Great job Will, good news! The contractors finally finished that dildo you wanted!

Let's evaluate some of these confident assertions from the esteemed Mr. Schryver:
      >All the Kalibrs are launched via BSF Missile ships.
ALL of them ,Will? I'm pretty sure the Kilo class subs are the Kalibr workhorse, but picrel does seem to indicate that there's some Kalibr-capable BSF surface ships, and -- despite being classed as a "missile corvette" -- the Ivanovets wasn't one of them, being anti-ship rather than anti-apartment block.
      >Russian intel / patrol ships sail freely around the Black Sea.
Will. Buddy. What part of the video you just saw looked like that patrol ship sailed freely anywhere other than straight to Davy Jones' locker? Russia has lost 20% of the 80 vessels in the BSF. Their best units are currently huddled in Novosibirsk to avoid further costly losses. They lost enough ships that they had to switch to plan B and mine the waterways. If these Russian sea and air patrols were so effective, how the frick did they lose the Moskva?
      >And Odessa will be Russian again.
BWAAAAHHHHH-HAHAHAHAHA, are you fricking kidding me Show me the Russian plan to re-cross the river and occupy Kherson City again and I might actually consider this something other than copium-induced delusions of adequacy.

Ships destroyed in dock, or lakes, don't count.
Planes and Helicopters destroyed on the ground don't count.
Soldiers killed in their barracks don't count.
These kinds of losses are all magically refunded and don't affect the war at all.

Obviously, if you lose them outside your base you need to send a recovery unit out to recoup their cost but they're auto-recovered if they're destroyed within the control radius of a supply depot, factory, barracks, or defensive building.

I'm sorry, but did the Black Sea Fleat already lose? Oh, that's right. The special military operation isn't even over yet. In fact, it's only halftime. Does not having the lead at halftime count as a loss? Is that what you're saying? Because if you're saying that I can assure you that you're wrong. Why would you make this topic when the special military operation is still on? The Black Sea Fleat are still sailing right now and they have been the best fleet for how many years now? They're fighting one of the worst navies in the world who just happen to have a lead because they're feeding off the energy of sinking all our ships. But you know what? They still fricking suck. The Black Sea Fleat is one of the best fricking fleets in the world, they went 13-3 last century and would of won the war if Rozhestvensky didn't choke. Maybe you should shut the frick up before you make moronic topics like this. You know why? Because you're going to be embarrassed when the Black Sea Fleet wins and someone bumps this topic. Oh look at that, Hohols just wasted a dozen sea drones when they needed to hit only one, just like the Patriots did. Are you a fricking drunk? Are you moronic? Are you autistic? You are a fricking idiot and you should never make a topic on this board again and I'm fricking serious. I almost have a feeling you're the only guy making all these anti-Black Sea Fleet topics because you're a homosexual hater who doesn't like the navy because they're good. Frick you, be good at something in YOUR life and then maybe try to troll these fricking fleets on the board, like I give a frick. It's so easy to spot out your threads now, you're a moron. Always doing stupid shit like this. Why don't you try to be a good poster? Just for once? For once in your fricking life try not to make a topic like this. That's just you, you're always right at getting it wrong. Frick you. You are nothing.

And you just know that when this same homosexual reads about the latest Houthi incident where US had to use CIWS to shoot down a missile, he considers it a sign of US getting dethroned forever.

Literally the US captain: "Huh. CIWS. Never got to use that before, cool! What a mudhut dweller victory that, getting SO close they still have a 0% hit rate.".

    >militarily negligible
yes, but only because Russian ships are maintained, operated, and exploited poorly.

strategically however, losing dominion of the black sea will have pretty unknown ramification long term.
