OP's spaghetti falling out.
>Leo2 gets hit and has to be sent for repairs
>Russian tank gets hit and immediately catastrophically explodes
>Russian tank gets pinned down by 25mm cannon of an IFV
Are Russian tanks just totally jokes?
Cripplingly overspecialized, due to a a combination of moronic doctrine (emanating from a moronic ideology), and shit industrial base.
>Are Russian tanks just totally jokes?
yes
Leopard 2's are actual honest to goodness modern tanks. Russian tanks are "modern" in that they're new, but they have such cripplingly stupid design flaws and have so many methods to ignite the ammo, or fuel, that they're death traps.
>BMP tin cans with no protection
>Tanks that ignite at the slightest bump
There's NOTHING inherent to the USSR or Russia that says they have to be like this. Even post 1990 Russia with all its problems could design decent IFV and tanks. We're just seeing how bad their docrtines and designs are.
To be fair, no tank is gonna enjoy having 50+ rounds of 25mm dumped into it's side. Now, a modern Western tank is gonna have far better sensors and awareness so that it doesn't let a Bradley do that, but once the Brad opened up and let it's HE shred the optics and sensors on the tank, it was no longer a good day to be a tanker regardless of what you're in.
>have no tanks at the end of the day, regardless of which
And here it is AI translated
no notable errors
>And here it is AI translated
Wait wait wait wait wait. I get the AI translation, but is that an AI voice based on the voice in the video? We have apps that can just do that on the fly now?
Not sure about "on the fly", but I saw a German PC hardware youtuber do that about a month ago. The result was actually very good. Could guess it was a machine translation in a couple of places, but the AI voice sounded pretty natural and it was never completely wrong.
We could very well see a computer acting as a perfectly fluent universal translator in a few years.
>The fricked up random words in the background when they're talking over the tank commander
Heh
>this AI
scary af, even with the fake German accent holy
nice... what did you use for the translation?
elevenlabs
>damaged leos in a repair hub behind the front
>damaged by shrapnel, waiting for repairs
>commander Roman is the tank commander
>tank got hit by a 120mm grenade and hit the cooling system
>could still drive on, crew survived unharmed but needs to be repaired in a factory
>needs to be brought to Lithuania
>his crew prepares the damaged tank for transport, cleaning, removing damaged parts
>commander talks about wanting to repair it in Ukraine if they had the machines/parts for it to save time
>first time a foreign team could take a loot at a repair hub for these tanks
>Ukraine got more than 70 leos, how many of those are operational is secret, this company has 4, 3 are damaged or have technical problems and need repairs
>the crew can only do basic service work, checking tracks, changing filters, repair tools were delivered with the tanks
>Roman the commander really likes the tank but he wants better protection and active systems vs the new anti tank weapons in this war
rest is fluff
>the crew can only do basic service work, checking tracks, changing filters, repair tools were delivered with the tanks
Thats pretty much standard crew maintenance/1st echelon, any higher would be company level/organic support elements.
Or at least thats the way it is for Leo users
>1:34
that AI artifact voice trying to "translate" the sound of the guy banging the thing is bizarre af
Yeah! I noticed that too! Then it tries to translate the guy speaking Ukrainian as "beedeebeedeebeedeebeedeebubububbpppttptpbpttpbbtpbt" LMAO
>"beedeebeedeebeedeebeedeebubububbpppttptpbpttpbbtpbt"
Sounded more like Biden giving a Friday evening speech after his meds have wore off!

one of you tards managed to say something so stupid, it made chromium browsers think this thread is written in french
hon hon hon Leclercs in Ukraine when?
Very few produced, and the factory which made the original engine has been dismantled.
Le mépris francophone est le véritable cinquième élément, et le seul langage international.
ESL translation:
Stranded in a forrest, these German Leopard 2 tanks are waiting for their rescue. The evidence of war is not easily missed; cannon pierced by shrapnel, road wheels completely worn.
Commander Roman and his crew were fired upon at the front:
>"As you can see the 120mm grenade landed here and hit the cooling system. We still managed to reach our position. The german armour really saved us and none of the crew were hurt, but now the tank can only be repaired at a factory."
The factory is in Lithuania, and the road there is complicated. Roman and his crew must prepare the tank for the journey - clean it and remove damaged parts - and then they'll have to wait for a long time for their tank.
>"Of course, it would be better if we could repair everything here in Ukraine. That way we would drop the paperwork at the border. If we had everything here including replacement parts we could save days or even months."
The damaged tanks show how necessary this is. This is the first time journalists are allowed to film at a service station close to the front. It is a rare and honest look at the state of the highly modern german tank after months in combat.
Ukraine has received more than 70 Leopard 2 tanks from the west. How many of these are still active is a war secret. In this unit one out of four is still active. The other three, such as this one, have been damaged in combat or have technical issues.
(cont 1/2)
The ukrainians are only able/allowed to do simple maintenance to keep their tanks combat effective; change filters and control tracks. Atleast the german tools came with the tank.
>"We're setting the track tension, with enough experience we can feel when the tension is right."
Despite the long waitingtimes for repairs, Roman showers the tank with praise. Faster, longer range, better targeting system. The 35 year old commander still does have some ideas for improvements.
>"The armor protection could be even more effective and modern and we need new defensive systems. During the war new AT weapons are constantly developed, and we need to react."
Although the german Leopard 2 tanks could not decide the war, Roman and the others don't ever want to sit in another tank.
>ESL
möchten has to be understood as subjunctive in the english parse. "wouldn't want to sit in any other tank again" => for me, it's the leo2. "never want / don't want to ever again" => the leo2 ruined sitting in tanks 4 me.
>ESL
It would be DSL you dumb shit.
Also thanks for effectively repeating what he just said. Your posts are so garbage it's embarrassing.
he said he's ESL. just telling him something about a tiny translation thing that results in opposite connotations. learn to read.
Actually ESL and DSL lol
so essentially the Leo did exactly what it was supposed to, but the story is easily bent into 'wunderwaffe not suitable for real world combat' propaganda?
arguably the crew is more valuable, but Leopards dont exactly grow on trees either
More like 'We really like the tank, but maintenance logistics is an issue that needs looking at'
>'wunderwaffe not suitable for real world combat'
seems to be a consistent trend surrounding 'nato gear' in ukraine
You mean when Bradleys frick up T90s with their 25mm guns?
Yeah, except where it slaughters russian garbage like 50:1 anyway LMAO.
As opposed to ruzzian 'wunderwaffles' right?
They are so good at modern war..
When glorious puccian tanks get hit there's nobody left to complaing about the performance of the tank
Not that it would make any difference, but why was commander unbuttoned just fricking peeking out?
The CITV doesn't work, right? And the periscopes and vision blocks got covered with meme-tarp?
rather: out of four tanks three need to be sent to Latvia for repairs and that can take months
one seems to be actually hit by some kind of 120mm munition (probably he) on engine cover
biggest problem they voiced is that they cant fix those tanks themselves and down time is simply unbearable
They need IFV more than anything, due to their speed. I know Canada has made 900 LAV'6's, and I will try to petition to have more sent. We sent some support LAV6's but not the IFV version armed with 25mm guns.
Leo haters BTFO
anyone have the close angle of the t-90m getting lit up?
Here comes the spoon
VatBlack personino narratives discarded
What is that explosion at the tank near the end there? Is that from the Brad's TOW or from an internal cook-off?
Not at all the TOW. You don't seem to've watched closely.
Consensus is fairly sure it's something to do with a smoke launcher cooking off. More advanced Russian smoke launchers feature something like aviation flares to potentially spoof and misdirect incoming missile seekers.
Dumb Russian mobik animals never use such features, though. So its only purpose is to amuse us with fireworks.
>What is that explosion at the tank near the end there? Is that from the Brad's TOW or from an internal cook-off?
25 mm shell detonating inside a smoke launcher, making all the pyrotechnics blow up at once.
PLAP PLAP PLAP GET PENNED GET PENNED
They beat the absolute dog shit out of that T90. That Bushmaster gunner just had the longest orgasm of his entire life.
Latvia?
Isn't Lithuania where they set up the repair centers due to them already having a lot of German stuff themselves?
not op but i also mixed those two up 😛
>>3 are damaged and in need of repair
>>have to be shipped to latvia
>>got hit hard but the crew survived
Sounds like everything is fine then. No permanent losses if any kind.
It's only a problem if the down time can't be offset by other units until repairs are complete.
Watched the first 40 seconds
>shot to shit by 120mm ammo
>still able to drive home
>no casualties
GG.
>tfw no good Leo or Marder combat footage
Chadley, I kneel
>Leo survives direct hit from 120mm
>T-90M gets recked by 25mm
Are russians tanks literally made with scrap metal?
