Vagrant holidaying

I don't know if this is the right board for this but I wanna take a holiday trip and I'm broke. I wanna hop on a motorcycle and ride through the coast staying at one place for each day. But since I'm broke and haven't made hotel reservations I'm thinking I might have to sleep on a park bench sooner or later so I'm gonna take a sleeping bag and a small tent with me.
Does anyone have any experience in this sort of thing that can give me any tips?

Bike camping is a thing. Hell, we do this with a car, frick paying for hotels. National parks are free, and camp grounds are rarely more than 20 bucks.

Yeah bro. Go wherever you want, set up camp wherever. I've done it many times on my bike.

Depends on the bike I'm taking. The yellow one, a little bivy tent or hammock. I'll bring a rain fly if I need it. Blanket or sleeping bag depending on the weather. A little emergency blanket in case I fricked up. Some tools in case shit goes wrong. Water, food, battery packs, AAA card, and all the shit I usually carry in my pockets. A little butane stove, a pot, water, and some mountain house shit. Some snacks. My cruiser has bags so I can bring a three man tent plus whatever else I want.

If you're going day by day you can cut weight and just get shit on the road before you call it a night. You have no reason to stock up on food and water other than what you need before you call it a night. Truck stops have showers if you're in the states, and some have laundry. Showers are usually around $15. If they've got a driver's lounge you can just pass out in one of the recliners. Sometimes you'll have those days where you just wanna ride until you can't ride anymore, and nobody cares if you wanna sleep in the lounge.

thanks for the tips man. I'm not in america. I'm thinking of setting off early, riding for 6 or 8 hours, eating at truck stops (which is a lot of food for cheap) spending the rest if the afternoon exploring and lounging. At the end of the day I'd find a cheap room, if not just hide in some bush and set up one of those tiny one person tents. I'd like to camp every day since I don't have a lot of money but I think that'd be too risky. Guess I'll have to see at the moment.
It's really hot in here this time of year so cold won't be a problem, although it's raining.

I've always wanted to explore down south on my bike. But every time I ask a Latino they tell me it's the wrong time.
                >those Frickers in Columbia are crazy right now. You should have gone two years ago
                > Nah man, there's this new cartel in Mexico, and they skin people alive just for fun.
                >dude, your KLR looks like a military bike. They'll shoot you in Brazil if they think you're military.
I just want to drive all the way from here down to Bottom of Argentina one winter just to say I did it. But there's always some conflict, or bandits, or a socialist dictatorship in the way.

That's just how South America has been for the past 300 years.

A guy in my village did the terra del fuego to alaska by motor bike in the 70s. My aunt did by bicycle a few years ago. There are van life YTers who've done it in WV microbuses. OP is just being a coward and falling for Internet memes.
