Why buy Mk23 when you can buy a USP45 Expert and just slap on a Jarvis threaded barrel for hundreds of dollars less - you get near the same barrel length, same capacity in a smaller/thinner profile, and a better trigger/control setup- the USP DA/SA V1 setup beats the Mk23's and you can always go dewiener only (or even LEM) while keeping the match trigger (also comes in the elite's and tactica'ls)
I don’t get why tho? The bigger calibers dont seem to penetrate ballistic gel any better

even though I shoot 9mm and .22 handgun far, far more than .45 and esp. 40, that doesn't take away that both are commonly available and I should have a gun in said calibers. Esp. handy during ammo/gun scares when 9mm and 5.56 practically ceases to exist on store shelves.
For that I choose USP.
I may have a shitload of 9mm handguns, but I only need ONE .40 and ONE .45.

I can name 30+ 9mm pistols that check the same boxes as the USP9, including other HK's - being good defensive guns, fun to shoot, etc.
You WILL enjoy the hell out of the USP9, recoil is nonexistent it performs like a longslide gucci glock, it's a fricking tank and it's overbuilt AF end of story.
I cant name any other .45 pistol on the planet that will run reliably like a raped ape like the USP45 does.
And there flat out just isn't a 40sw nearly as enjoyable to shoot or reliable as the USP40.
Every other .40 is a scaled up 9mm, snappy as frick with +p.
If you gave me a Glock 24 (longslide .40) I'd just swap the barrel to 9mm because it just doesn't compete with the USP40

I really like the USP9, I eventually want to get a USP tactical in .40 or .45 just not sure which yet.
It's just overbuilt af for the 9mm tbh being designed from the get go for .40, and yet it's arguably the best handgun available both for the .40sw and .45acp calibers. It's better than the Glock in both calibers, it's better than the M&P and FNP/FNX in .45 and other competitors.
You can't go wrong with the USP9, it's just that you can't go wrong with a P2000, or a VP9, or a P30 in 9mm either. Or any other good 9mm like a glock. That just isnt the case in .40 and .45.
The HK45 isn't nearly as good as the USP45 - with only the HK45C/CT trumping the USPc 45 compact.
The VP40 and .40 P30 don't compare to the USP40
The only aberration is the USP compacts, in that they get so handily trumped by the P2000 and to a lesser extent the VP9sk, P30S and P30sk
alot of 45 super gets loaded up with projectiles designed to expand at 45 ACP velocities, so they over expand, under penetrate and mostly break up into pieces. 45 super shines at bear defense with hard cast or maybe some extreme penetrator projectiles
USP45's mog on 1911 boomers handily but that's besides the point that it's far and above the best pistol in .45 bar none that anyone even suggesting a Glock 21 over a USP45 for anything other than a conversion barrel host, or an FNX45 over a USP45 Tactical, straight up needs to be shot....with 9mm.
Bro glockBlack folk have the brain power of a peanut, trying to explain the LEM to them is like trying to explain the basics of Mechanical Engineering to a toddler, it's just going to go way over their heads.
Not optimal given how chunky it is relative to magazine capacity, but it is certainly a reliable and accurate pistol.
A smaller gun would probably be a wiser choice since you will be more comfortable carrying it every day, but I'm sure I will get flak from people who carry an M1919 concealed in their pants about how easy it is and everyone else who doesn't daily carry a 31lb, 38" long belt fed machine gun plus the tripod mount is a twink.
he liked to engage in a bit of tomfoolery, duh
honestly though, I know a grrl that went to school with him and she says he had a micro phallus, so he was fricked before he even began
>$1200 gun the size of a full sized glock 10mm, but even in 9mm has less capacity >$60 mags >shit golster options >nearly dead after market >shit-tier 12 pound trigger
I got USP9 but I think it’s too big to carry on body. I bought a sling bag with a compartment specifically for conceal carry. I mainly bought it for nightstand gun but wanted something if I ever did decide to take it out.
>I got USP9 but I think it’s too big to carry on body. I bought a sling bag with a compartment specifically for conceal carry.
Why would you do that instead of just buying a decent belt and holster? If you're going to carry in a purse, get a revolver.
is it really that good? I've been eyeing one just haven't bought it yet.
No it's not. Which is why he didn't reply to you. Here's the difference between the USPC and the P2000
>USPc has a better trigger >USPc has better after market trigger options from the factory >USPc can be configured in 9 different configurations for your personal individual needs >The USPc is actually smaller dimensionally and more compact despite both guns sharing the same magazine size >USPc has better grip texture >You're not going to find pictures of the USP broken in half like you will P2000
The latter not being too much of an issue with the USPc because holster makers do make holsters with the rail adapter and light of your choosing. I bought a P2000 brand new when they were going for $500, now you can find them online for $800 give or take. While the USP still sells for what it usually has always sold brand new.
Being able to change out the trigger isn't a real pro. Just like having adjustable golf clubs isn't. You get it in the configuration you want and then you forget about it. And the slight difference in width is due to the right side slide stop/release, which you can remove. Though I will agree that they cost too much now for what they are
Are you purposely ignoring the part where the USP comes with a better trigger out of the box? Or all the other things I mentioned? The P2000 is not bad, but it was basically the budget version of the USP without all the bells and whistles. And for what people are asking now for a P2000, I'd rather just save up for a USP
Why are you changing the goal posts? Okay fine both have horrible triggers, but the USPc's is still better out of the box and has options to make it better with the match trigger kit. Which there are none for the P2000

match firing pin block spring and trigger reset springs are pretty easy to install and lighten up the pull considerably
i own and carry both, yeah the usp compact trigger feels better but the p2000 isn't bad
sounds like you just wanna shit on hk pistols because you don't know anything about them and don't like them
The SA on the USP is better than any Glock trigger I've ever used. The problem is no one wants to train or git gud with the heavy DA pull of a DA/SA gun.
You can, but then you need to remember to hit the safety when you draw in a real scenario, which does require a bit of training if you're not already used to that (some people really do believe in carrying with 1 in the chamber and relying on a trigger safety. )
no
USP is only worth owning in .45
why buy usp when mark 23?
A thou less for 98% of the gun is why I bought the .45 USP instead of the 23 but your mileage may vary
makes sense, I guess the appeal of the mk23 is the cool factor.
The Mk 23 is absolute shit.
The USP is an advancement on it, and the HK45 is the final version.
So you can CC it without being an autistic larper
Why buy Mk23 when you can buy a USP45 Expert and just slap on a Jarvis threaded barrel for hundreds of dollars less - you get near the same barrel length, same capacity in a smaller/thinner profile, and a better trigger/control setup- the USP DA/SA V1 setup beats the Mk23's and you can always go dewiener only (or even LEM) while keeping the match trigger (also comes in the elite's and tactica'ls)
Mk23 is only worth if you plan on going through boxes of .45 Super
no
USP is only worth owning in .40 converted to 10mm firing nuclear loads
USPs can't handle hot 10mm
But 10mm seller, I need your most nuclear loads if I am to succeed
Even the hottest loads offered usually don't get to the original SAMMI spec 10mm had.
10mm seller, please
I would argue the USP40 is the only .40sw handgun really worth owning period
45 is also good if you want to use 45 super. Basically the only one not worth it is the 9mm
That's compelete horseshit.
I'd buy the 9mm over the 40S&W literally every single day of the week
frick off anti-9mm morons should get shot by 40S&W if they love it so much.
No one said anything anti 9mm, moron. Only that it's not worth it in a full sized USP. Take your meds
I don’t get why tho? The bigger calibers dont seem to penetrate ballistic gel any better

45 super is hot trash.
Literally every defensive load fails to meet the 12" minimum penetration.
Lmao stop watching Youtube and start shooting shit in the real world kiddo.
alot of 45 super gets loaded up with projectiles designed to expand at 45 ACP velocities, so they over expand, under penetrate and mostly break up into pieces. 45 super shines at bear defense with hard cast or maybe some extreme penetrator projectiles

Only other maybe PX4
FUN FACT
The PX4c (unknown about the other models) can switch to 9mm with just a barrel change/vice versa.
This is true only if there's a big ass can on it like our favorite serpent.
.45 is gay and moronic.
I guess that explains why it drools when it sucks my dick
USP compact in 9mm with the LEM/Match Hybrid trigger is based for EDC and range play.
>let me replace my gritty 12lb trigger with an even grittier 15lb trigger
The absolute state of HK gays
Watch a video on HK triggers before you look moronic again. Especially the specific trigger that anon mentioned.
Bro glockBlack folk have the brain power of a peanut, trying to explain the LEM to them is like trying to explain the basics of Mechanical Engineering to a toddler, it's just going to go way over their heads.
Cz P10-c. Simple as
it's what I carry. No complaints here.
Full size USP in 9mm is a mistake. Get a different caliber or get a compact/p2000
Not optimal given how chunky it is relative to magazine capacity, but it is certainly a reliable and accurate pistol.
A smaller gun would probably be a wiser choice since you will be more comfortable carrying it every day, but I'm sure I will get flak from people who carry an M1919 concealed in their pants about how easy it is and everyone else who doesn't daily carry a 31lb, 38" long belt fed machine gun plus the tripod mount is a twink.
the thing is, im practically a twink bodysize-wise. 5’-6”, 150LB.
You'd be better off with the compact. Or even better, a p2000
The twink virgin HKphile Vs. The Chad glock EDCer
Who won, you be the judge.
yeh but glock is a Black person gun.
the zoomer twink had a glock too lol
Why is the sig on the mag well blurred?
Did he shine his shoes for his trip to the food court?
Left looks like a cute guy, couldn't he go have grass or touch sex?
he liked to engage in a bit of tomfoolery, duh
honestly though, I know a grrl that went to school with him and she says he had a micro phallus, so he was fricked before he even began
What's your discord @?
Why are you pretending to want to frick guys, when we know your fetish is to be fricked by them.
yea
USP is a shitty and moronic choice for a handgun.
USP -and- P2000
Say anon, how do you feel about HK?
they're alright, wish they would keep shit in stock on their webshop so i wouldn't have to get shit at fricking hkparts
They may be overpriced, but I like them. I know someone who was able to order standard cap mags to California well after freedom week
Same, I know I overpaid but hotdamn do I like it!
I wish I had a stainless side HK :/
they still pop up now and then but frickin pricey, i was lucky with this one got it from family
Don't CC something you can't afford to lose.
i can afford to lose literally everything i own and most of what i don't own, everything except for my life
>$1200 gun the size of a full sized glock 10mm, but even in 9mm has less capacity
>$60 mags
>shit golster options
>nearly dead after market
>shit-tier 12 pound trigger
>1200
>60 mags
>12lb trigger
so you just always talk about shit you know absolutely fricking nothing about lol
Excuse me.
$50 mags and an $1199 gun.
I got USP9 but I think it’s too big to carry on body. I bought a sling bag with a compartment specifically for conceal carry. I mainly bought it for nightstand gun but wanted something if I ever did decide to take it out.

lose weight you fat frick
I'm not a border patrol agent, moron . You know, the only case where it happened
how about vs the P30SK?
Yeah, that's a better option than both, and I've been shilling the USPc in this thread. The P30sk is a great CCW piece.
Nay
To bulky
Have a hk usp
It's a solid gun but way too bulky and the trigger isn't great
The SA on the USP is better than any Glock trigger I've ever used. The problem is no one wants to train or git gud with the heavy DA pull of a DA/SA gun.
Cant you carry the USP hammer back, safety on
You can, but then you need to remember to hit the safety when you draw in a real scenario, which does require a bit of training if you're not already used to that (some people really do believe in carrying with 1 in the chamber and relying on a trigger safety. )
Of course
It can be carried wienered and locked like a 1911
But its a DA/SA so most ppl carry it like other DA autos
Every SA is better obviously
But yes the DA on hk usp is crunchy and crappy
Serviceable for sure but nothing like a smooth sig or beretta or old Smith autos
As opposed to what? Any gun is better than no gun. What else are you considering?
