I don't think doctrine is something you can even just "change" in the middle of a war since that is a decades long process. Even the Ukrainians that spent the last 8 years shifting to NATO doctrine are still heavily dependent on artillery strikes, just that thanks to NATO equipment it's a much more effective one in terms of "rounds spent to damage inflicted".
So once you are in a war, your doctrine is set in stone. If your doctrine is massively inferior than the enemies' and you don't even have the industrial capabilities anymore to follow your own doctrine you are just... fucked. Your doctrine is basically the equivalent of "faction traits" in a strategy game: now imagine you can't use ANY of them because you don't have the resources those mechanics require to work.
So you can only use the shit you suck at and not the shit you are good at. While the opponent can use their mechanics to the fullest. Even a middling player would absolutely destroy you in such a scenario.

btw, most of the female Ukie soldiers are field medics or some other support role. This frees up male soldiers to do more soldiery things. So you either get 10% more soldiers for "free" compared to your enemy, or you get more combat medics. It's always a good trade. No one expects women to be spec-ops or anything.

Massed tank formations tend to attract unwanted attention, also, this is quite an infantry-heavy conflict. We also are likely not seeing the more intense combat, these aren't very heavily defended positions.

They don't need to go full Best Korean Dakka (although i can't really think of anything on that Song IV turret that wouldn't be damn useful in Ukraine) but just one AGL for the commander would prevent them from having to drive up like that. They obviously have the areas under drone observation, a AGL would way less risky than dodging 15 meter RPG shots like those guys did.
