No surprise here as anyone with half a brain realized that Poland's military was always a potemkin village and no way in hell they had the money to buy all the shit they wanted to buy considering the entire Eurozone is in a depression. Secondly, Poland's MIC is complete garbage since the government let it rot in the 1990s because "muh peace dividend" and German bribing off their politicians. A real shame because they actually had an excellent MIC industry during the Cold War days.

Grot was fricked form the very beginning not by the press or even it's construction per se but by moronic politicians which is kinda sad because i believe it has potential.
The minister of defense pushed it hard for his home defense pet project and thus not only ordered over 50k before the usual kinks were ironed out by proper testing but started handing them out to people with no prior firearms handling experience at all and varying degree of training on top.
To put that into perspective, the home guard doesn't have a standardised guideline for training even now so every "mobile training squad" does whatever they see fit, so a lot of the corrosion problems turned out to be simple neglect of proper cleaning
Same with the testing, sure it was shot at the range but no one thought that maybe it should be tried in normal use with the strap attached, and the glorified commando unit trials turned to be almost nothing because they simply handed them some grots and told them to do whatever you want with them.
To no ones surprise they didn't give a shit about figuring out a testing regime on top of their regular work and just gave them to the new guys to put some rounds through them at the range and as far as i know only one unit actually put in some work at this.
Grotard and his merry companions won't ever admit it because it puts the party they shill for in a bad light so better run with the official pis approved strategy of blaming krauts for everything, two birds with one stone right?

Hell, even the iteration argument shouldn't be necessary because a lot of the issues with the early versions were due to the neglected maintenance, and some of the badly treated ones went with the first batch sent to ukraine, only adding to their (partly) undeserved bad reputation
