Ukies mind-control russian with a stick

So Ukrainians captured russian POW, told him that they will put a remote exploding device on him so he has to lure his comrades out. And then they attached a stick on his back.

This kinda sounds like using a POW as some kind of bait, I don't think that's allowed under the Geneva Convention.

Pole here. My grandparents' village cemetery has a whole sector for a German massacre of local civilians, and I have a cross marking another mass civilian execution within walking distance of my home.

As far as "muh both sides" gets abused way too often by ziggers and their ilk, both Germans and Soviets were horrible frickers in this regard. Germans only admitted their crimes because they were forced to, while the USSR swept theirs under the carpet and told us to kiss their ass for 50 years.

      Brief summary

      1:00 - First Russian soldier (RU1) surrenders

1:05 - RU1 is asked if others are with him

      1:35 - RU1 says there are some others (40~) 50m in front

1:37 - AFU soldier (AFU1) places remotely detonated explosive on RU1's back so that he does what they want and doesn't wander off.

1:37 - AFU1 says if RU1 does what he says and returns, he will take the explosive off and the POW will be exchanged, live a long life etc.

(Im not sure if this is like a psychological trick to get him to do what they say or if they really placed some kind of Explosive on him. You can clearly see it at 3:58, not sure what that is tbh.)

4:20 - RU1 is told to walk 50 steps to the front, to see if he can spot / hear anything, then come back and report.

4:33 - RU1 brings back second soldier (RU2), who has been told that they are walking into friendly position.

(Not clear if RU1 told him this or one of the AFU sentries)

4:50 - AFU1 tells RU2 that he and his men are PMC "Veteran" disguised as AFU servicemen.

5:10 - RU2 notes that there are corpses everywhere, AFU1 answers that they (Russians / convicts) are being thrown like meat.

5:21 - AFU1 says that he and his group are actually khohols, RU2 comes to terms with his "new" situation.

5:40 - Not sure who they sent out this time, but a new soldier appears (RU3), probably also thinking he's walking into friendlies.

5:50 - RU3 is wounded in the knee, AFU1 offers him to get closer and rest, RU3 is taken POW at gunpoint.

6:30 - RU3 mentions he had a comrade with him at some point.

6:45 - RU3 says he understands his situation, AFU isn't kidding around. RU3 says his last position is empty now. He also mentions he is former prison inmate.

7:26 - Firefight in the distance begins

8:08 - Callsign "Pasta" is told by AFU1 to get the prisoners out of there.

Well, it's a 'special' operation, after all. But jokes aside - smart russians fled the country long ago. Less smart russians do not sign the draft notices. The least smart russians try to buy themselves a place further away from the frontlines. All the leftovers are manning the trenches.
