If Iran can do it, then Ukraine can as well, with the backing of western gibs, parts, manufacturing tech etc
That being said, this whole thing is a fricking reactionary PR stunt. They are crying about this drone that killed like 20 people so far in 2 months, because Russia is stupid enough to use these as terror weapons, not knowing ukraine is gonna get huge amount of anti-air stuff because of it. That fancy german AA system? It's not in Kiev, it's shooting down the remaining Russian air force in Kherson. What a meme
this picture doesn't say a word about 'aryan race' or '9000 years' you lying homosexual.
truly everything russia does is lies and homosexualry, what a worthless 'country'
>master Aryan race was born in Ukraine
Larpers would seethe but that's unironically truth. Territory of Ukraine was a major hub for indo-aryan people.
That has nothing to do with slavs migration later though, but italians aren't exactly romans either.
Yes they are they are mostly Romans with minor admix (mostly Celtic)
Only exception to that are Siciliqns who are Semitic+Greek but that's an ancient population that already existed during Roman empire
My guess is you're an americuck whose entire white population got replaced by shitskins in 50 years so you're projecting

My least favorite part of this war are the hordes of Indian, African and Brazilian shitskin communist shills going around calling Ukrainians subhuman pigs and crying abour le nazism
I'm not even pro Ukraine but that shit is nauseating
Third world brownoids shouldn't have internet access
75kg indicates it would not be a missile. Complete overkill for a warhead that small. Neptune and the ilk would be an order of magnitude more destructive (and expensive).
Was always under the impression Ukraine much preferred drones that could carry multiple grenades or mortars and have enough fuel to take them to an area with soldiers, drop their load over 30 mins or so, then fly back, reload and refuel and go again.
A drone with 1000km range with 75kg warhead seems like the opposite of what they want right now and seems more like a 'future weapon' for their arsenal. That's assuming this war is over any time soon (unlikely, Russia can't back out now lmao).
Because the issue right now, as I said, is kicking Russia out of Ukraine. Not a theoretical strike on Russia. As I said, seems more like a 'future weapon'.
You're describing two entirely different classes of weapons system, a tactical CAS drone versus a long range strategic "cruise missile" drone.
I am aware, but at the moment they're needing stuff to get the Russians out of Ukraine, not a 1000km 75kg warhead drone that isn't really going to change much in the war. Yeah they can hit civilian infrastructure in Moscow or whatever but that has never really worked in making people give in. Should be concentrating on tactical advantages to remove Russia and then you can think about stuff like that imo.
You'd be surprised the range you can get out of an ICE and no plans for landing or reliability
Then again I dont see a reason for Ukraine to field such drones apart from hitting fuel and ammo depos deep inside russia, having a "totally not an american designed and produced cheap cruise missile" gives ukies leeway when it comes to hitting targets in russia, since vatniks already do terror bombings and wont be able to legitimately claim that they are being hit with american made weapons deep inside russia.
Ukraine producing switchblade 600 tier drones with 200km range that can hit armor when being jammed via thermals alone would be fricking impressive however
>Then again I dont see a reason for Ukraine to field such drones apart from hitting fuel and ammo depos deep inside russia
Retribution bombing of Moscow. If it's a Shahed clone they're probably precise enough to hit the Kremlin.
>Terror bombings will totally win the war guys
Thats like one of the few ways to frick your self in to a corner and accidentally fix russias manpower problem since you will now have competent vatniks joining the military because you just bombed out their apartment
There's many legitimate uses for something like this. Fur example, the mobilized are constantly posting videos of themselves at various locations in Russia - many of which would be in range. With the disorganization and non-existent discipline, there's no reason to think that wouldn't continue. I'm sure the Ukies have also collected a lot of intel regarding the transport of the mobilized.
While i'd love ukies anfoing a bunch of drunk mobniks in moscow oblast I still think that drones with a range of a few hundred kilos that have decent sensors and can home on jam and home on IR signatures would be way more useful. At best shitheed tier drones would be useful to hit rails because most russian logistics seem to run on them and thats assuming that those drones would have decent INS systems since most higher value targets would have gps jammers around them
One of the best, not the best. They struggle with investments to set up any meaningful industry but a shitton of all kinds of drone designs is usually what you see from ukies on arms presentations.
The unspoken truth about "suicide drones" like Shahed are that they aren't actually drones, just cruise missiles. Shahed has no sensors, no two way communication, you just plug in a GPS coordinate and it flies there and explodes. Presumably Cossakhed or whatever Ukraine calls their copy will functional similarly.
Winged bombs are unpowered, Shahed isn't a winged bomb. We have a weird terminology problem because "small piston powered long range precision munitions" hasn't been a thing before. Drone is definitely the wrong word for what Shahed does. Historically cruise missiles have been either rocket or jet propelled, but I don't see why using a propeller makes it not a cruise missile. V1 used an incredibly primitive pulse-jet.
how useful are these drones/cruise missiles when they have sub 100kg payloads like the iranian thing? it seems like it greatly limits the number of potential targets you can strike - especially if you're going for something with long range. Wouldn't an austere version of say a Tomahawk be better with a 1000kg warhead?
The engine isn't the expensive part of the Tomahawk, it's the TERCOM, image matching system, cameras, receivers and radar, you can drastically slash the price if you remove that and just give it basic b***h GPS, no waypoint system, none of the cool features, just generic guidance package, engine, fuel and payload. If you want 1000+km range then you should have a real payload behind it and not something tiny. I'm not even saying Tomahawk itself you simpleton, I'm saying something akin to it.
Well, one is a jet engine missile and another is a glider, so there is quite some simplification to be made. Also yeah, depends on the target, but for fuel and ammo dumps it probably should be enough. Also I'd assume there are some regulations for missiles.
we don't have a word in english yet for long range precision guided low cost cruise missiles built out of hobbyist drone parts but that's what's implied by a 75kg payload and 1000km range

Blasting Dzankoi with some low and slow drones sounds like a fun time.
No way they can make a 1000km drone
Okraina can make anything. They are the proto-race after all.

the text just says "some people were living here around 7500 years ago"
that's it

Hey, they had great taste in women.
Of course, why wouldn't you trust John Hamburger from San Francisco oblast?
This shit is Russia-tier delusional, but indeed the random vatnik on twitter was lying. Again.

scythians simple as
Why? It's trivial. It will be big and easy to shoot but still
Shahed is a 2000km range drone with a 50kg warhead. 1000km range with a 75kg warhead sounds a lot like a Shahed clone with more boom and less fuel.
damn I didnt expect them to be capable of flying so far
It's a hollow fiberglass delta wing filled with fuel, an Alibaba lawnmower engine, and a 50kg bomb. It's also bigger than you probably expect.
They're large drones, about the size of Bayraktars TB2
Those drones can loiter in the sky for hours before it's being guided to a target.
It's a lawnmower engine flying at ~120mph on a one way trip.
We're assuming that, but what else could it be? Ukraine has a pretty developed turbine industry and Indigenous SRBMs. Maybe Neptune-ER?
75kg indicates it would not be a missile. Complete overkill for a warhead that small. Neptune and the ilk would be an order of magnitude more destructive (and expensive).

Yes and guess which one Ukraine needs more of
Destroying armor while not sticking your neck out is as important as hitting enemy logistics
Ukies already have some indigenous suicide drone designs, but they are obscenely expensive for their budget as of now.

The Kremlin is a legitimate military target.
There's many legitimate uses for something like this. Fur example, the mobilized are constantly posting videos of themselves at various locations in Russia - many of which would be in range. If by developing you mean buying, then sure
Nobody is willing to sell Ukraine toys that can reach Moscow. If they want to hit deep targets they need to develop the weapons themselves.
>take US missile
>paint it blue
>slap tryzub sticker on it
Tak druzy, is 100% ukrainian missile!
Ukies drone industry is one of the best in europe. That's probably the only thing their MIC is still somewhat good at though.
No it's not. The only legitimate aerospace firms are in the UK an France
>The only legitimate aerospace firms are in the UK an France
Right, Tempest will be real any decade now, right alongside Skylon.
>Ukie stronk
get real. No real aerospace industry exists in the Ukraine.
One of the best, not the best. They struggle with investments to set up any meaningful industry but a shitton of all kinds of drone designs is usually what you see from ukies on arms presentations.
Not saying the made and manufactured it, but they did manage to hit that refinery all the way out in Rostov already.
ponytail people can't into technology
The only technological problem is the communications link.
How do you transmit from such ranges etc. The other parts are very easy to do.
You don't need to transmit anything. Just input the GPS coordinates and let it do the rest.
The unspoken truth about "suicide drones" like Shahed are that they aren't actually drones, just cruise missiles. Shahed has no sensors, no two way communication, you just plug in a GPS coordinate and it flies there and explodes. >small piston powered long range precision munitions
Literally invented in WW1.
>send drone blind for far distance
>tell him to turn on comms when close to target
>have operator in proximity
>operator finishes the job
bruh the only guidance is GPS, so there is no data links for an operator or live video.
how useful are these drones/cruise missiles when they have sub 100kg payloads like the iranian thing? it seems like it greatly limits the number of potential targets you can strike - especially if you're going for something with long range. Wouldn't an austere version of say a Tomahawk be better with a 1000kg warhead?
Tomahawks costs 2M per, flying lawnmowers - 30k, and that is with 15k kickback.
That's quite literally why I said an austere version.
Tomahawk has inherently expensive bits like the jet engine that can't be replaced cheaply without scaling down the whole system
The engine isn't the expensive part of the Tomahawk, it's the TERCOM, image matching system, cameras, receivers and radar, you can drastically slash the price if you remove that and just give it basic b***h GPS, no waypoint system, none of the cool features, just generic guidance package, engine, fuel and payload. we don't have a word in english yet for long range precision guided low cost cruise missiles built out of hobbyist drone parts but that's what's implied by a 75kg payload and 1000km range

Bet it looks like this without seats.
