I suspect most of these improvised ones are done by the TDF, they seem to be the Smekalka brigade where the actual AFU goes overseas and gets training and kit and comes back fighting a western war.

Getting it to the front...I guess you need a contact in the TDF or something and arrange to ship it to their rear lines, I believe post and couriers are still basically working just one or two echalons back from the point of contact.
You could try making contact with a NAFO guy, they seem to have cultivated a few contacts for their crowd-funding projects.
