Canik has a local facility in Florida running as of February/March 2023. The Mete MC9s are assembled there. Ironically, the MC9 is the only model that has had reliability issues.

Canik was shortlisted for the top four, but obviously didn't have local manufacturing at the time. Canik was also shortlisted for the final four in the Danish sidearm trials. It's currently used by military in the Philippines, Bangladesh and Turkey.
I live near a frickton of Indian people but the ones around me are generally great. The worst I've seen in the states were a few ladies that seemed to expect royal treatment from everyone.
Either India isn't actually as bad as is memed, or everyone worth being around is leaving asap.

Going of a sample size of one, I'd advise against getting a Canik pistol.
Somebody from my gun club let me shoot his new Canik pistol and I let him shoot my G34 for comparison, and we BOTH archieved better groups with the Glock even if the trigger on the Canik felt better.
Between these two individual pistols it seems that Canik isn't justasgood after all. Groups opened up by several inches at 25m
for that price why not just get a Glock?
