It just hit me that these men were likely in the Oleshky Sands. I mean there are little pockets of desert/sand outside the Oleshky Sands but not much.

It's a new strategy
>Find Telegram used by Russian soldiers
>Post about how you were once stationed where they are but now on leave
>Tell them about a secret stash of vodka, krokodil and soothing anal cream
>Post coordinates
>Wait until you have a few dozen of them frantically digging
>Send missile and have fun
How the frick is America finding these meet ups so fast and getting the intel to ukraine fast enough for them to lob himars at it?
They've cracked Russian comms obviously
>The Anglosphere's singular strategic advantage has always been sigint. They can probably read some of the codes in real time. Hence pinpoint strikes on demand.
There's not a lot to crack. They're using basic commercial radios and cell phones in a lot of instances.
Which seems like a pretty way to commit suicide.
I have posted on here before that I think the US has broken their comms and I am typically shouted down. It reminds me of how the nazis thought their codes were unbreakable and managed to rationalize every single disaster as being the result of some other cause. Meanwhile they might as well have been using cleartext for all of the difference it would have made.
>Imagine playing a RTS without fog of war and your opponent has total fog of war. Its practically cheating.
Besides using baofengs, all their tanks, BMPs, APCs and other vehicles are also using soviet-era vintage comms which are completely unencrypted and can only communicate with infantry through those fixed open channels, not to mention the infantry lacking radios to communicate with those besides heavy soviet-era backpacks and the new, scarce handheld sets.
Comms are probably the singular worst thing soviets and russians were doing, period, especially since a big part of any military training is properly using them to be able to coordinate actions between units and crews effectively, and soviets had none of that, only petty theft, plunder and theatrics. The suicided murz's story for the last 10 years has been trying to unfrick this problem and failing due to russians being unwilling to address the problem even when directly pointed to it because it cuts into their corruption schemes and exposes the higher ups, not to mention requires changes of command and training to actually utilize these things. His blog is one sad story of him basically doing this on civilian donations and against the russian command and constantly b***hing about it on every corner fruitlessly.

I know it is real but where IS the blood? I’ve seen other aftermath photos of tungsten rain and they’re not pretty
The one dude is bleeding from his face but yeah it does look weird.
I guess if you got hit by just a couple stray BBs in the chest or head area you would have massive internal bleeding but the entry/exit wounds would would be very small.
If it misses major blood vessels even huge wounds can bleed very little, with tiny 3mm puncture wounds even hits that would normally bleed can close up enough to keep the bleeding internal.
Gunshots tend to bleed a lot more because the hole is too big to close up and the bullet breaking up has much higher odds of hitting a major vessel.
Who is this Black person, why does Musk gargle his balls so much and why does he cope harder than copelord himself?

Russian moronation.
Perhaps the much-rumoured leadership shuffling put an absolute madlad in charge of the mobile missile batteries.
Big think.
You know how you shouldn't attribute malice where stupidity is adequate? It's like that on overkill. They'll find king of the apes strung up like Jesus with his skin flayed and it'll turn out he tripped into the washing machine and was automatically hung up to dry.
A perfect example of why spacing is so important. If these troops were spaced out 10m or more apart would have had far less casualties
never would have thought of that, thanks
>muh social distancing
typical westoid
how can you rape someone 10m away?
It's not rape if they're dead
That would require professional training and self-discipline and not being a zigger.
That's Reddit spacing.
>all their legs still twitch after the explosion
oof....
Induce if they had an NCO there who would tell at them to take a break in the fricking forest instead of in the open.
It's a base they didn't expect to be hit so the effect of the first would be the same against any country.
What makes it uniquely Russian is the fact they keep grouping in the open after the first one.
>HOHLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Those dudes dropped like sacks of shit, instant death. Beats bleeding out while some tiktok zoomie asks for tips over drone footage after dropping a grenade on you. One moment you’re there, the next moment little tungsten balls have shredded your brain and body.
>instant death
Not necessarily. Watch more carefully.
You get instant death if you're lucky enough to have tungsten pass through your brainstem. You bleed out "fairly quickly" if you're lucky and have a dozen or three tungsten pellets pass through your major organs and heart.
A fair percentage aren't so lucky, and get their bones shattered plus numerous punctures that bleed slowly. If the major organs get missed or nicked, they will spend a day or several alive while their body slowly fails from multiple trauma.
And, some will survive, with various chunks of their bodies removed due to tissue & bone damage that can't heal or be repaired.
However, you're correct in that if people are more or less directly under a tungsten thunderboomer, their chances of getting their brain mushed is pretty high. So some will die instantly or fairly quick. Not necessarily all.
You could also die in the blast wave if it hits this close.
TUNGSTEN RAIN

I bleed it out
Digging deeper just to throw it away
Just to throw it away
Just to throw it away
Beautiful
Very effective training, ziggers are truly second to none when it comes receiving tungsten balls
Is the second hit a smaller munition? Like a smart shell or something? The first two look a lot larger, like the HIMARS we're used to.
SEE:
People have been posting that there are two sizes, 1 mm and 3 mm diameter tungsten balls. See picrel to compare to shotgun shot sizes. It doesn't seem like a match, and there's another pic floating around of someone with the tungsten shot in their hand. I think the shot sizes are larger than 1 mm & 3 mm, but not by much (if so) and there are definitely two sizes, not more and not random sizes.
SEE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tungsten for properties of tungsten, but basically it's harder than steel (and doped so it's slightly alloyed to make the raw tungsten even harder) and damned fricking dense, so when it travels at velocity it packs a hell of a punch. Due to the density plus velocity plus small size, it is designed to massively over-penetrate. It will punch a hole through a an I-beam or an engine block and still pass completely through a human body. Body armor doesn't stop it. You have now been pierced through bone, flesh, organs, brain, etc. It may be travelling as fast as 6000 to 7000 fps up close, or "only" 2000 fps at distance, or after passing through two or three other people near you.
Imagine a BB, travelling at 5000 fps, but it's almost three times as dense and at least twice as hard. If one of these passed through your body center mass you'd be having a frick-all hard day. Now imagine 20 or 50 of them passing through your body. Everywhere. Bones turned to meal, meat turned to paste.
Getting shot once with fmj .45 moving at 1200 fps is a blessing in comparison.
Shit. Was supposed to reply to

lil monkey fella
What changed so that HIMARS is not being used on infantry now? Wasn't it used only against equipment before?
No
cant man the equipment if every to do so is dead
The tungsten warheads have been used against concentrations of infantry for awhile now, it's just normally those concentrations are in the back of trucks.
You dont remember the convoy strike? Disabling a few trucks wasnt the objective there.
Putin is doing the "fake peace talks" and reporting it back to Russians, the soldiers are relaxing. They think aivikia or whatever it is was the final battle because that's what Putin has been saying for 2 months.

With their performance so far, more rockets and more himars. They only have, what, 12 currently? Imagine the fricking TZD the world would benefit from if they had another 12.
The front isn't that big for HIMARS. I think 12 is enough but they need more ammo
>They only have, what, 12 currently?
Think it's over 30
Last I was aware was 18 himars and about another 10-12 tracked launchers. As another OP has mentioned, ammo supply is the bottleneck. They need those nig rigged glsdbs in bulk
Looks like the fricking frontline trenches is the safest place in these modern warfare times

How the frick do Russians do it? American troops complain about doing admin formations in peacetime America ffs, why would soldiers do them in the combat zone of a war?
Imagine if a video of US troops getting hit like this got released. The scandal would be so bad it would probably get it's own Wikipedia page and several congressional hearings
Yep. And here's it 3 times at least in 2 days.
In the US stupidity getting dozens of guys killed is a major failing that has to be identified and rectified.
In Russia stupidly getting dozens of guys killed is a Wednesday.
>In Russia stupidly getting dozens of guys killed is a Wednesday
*Wednesday morning
>a Wednesday.
Assuming they admit it to even happening
>In the US stupidity getting dozens of guys killed is a major failing that has to be identified and rectified. In Russia stupidly getting dozens of guys killed is a Wednesday.
I think this really needs to be emphasized. Especially since barely anybody seems to be batting an eye about this being a Russian training ground in Ukraine that apparently exists within range of Ukie artillery. You'd ask questions if the bootcamp in Full Metal Jacket was in Vietnam, and Hartman and most of his recruits got splashed by Viet Cong artillery. But they're Russian, so this situation doesn't even raise an eyebrow.
Truly a vile society. And its not like they dont have access to this information. Its being posted by their own countrymen. I truly wonder what horrors have to be inflicted on these slaves for them to wake up and crucify Putin and his cronies.
I think there's a cultural gap. The social contract always exists but different cultures at different times want different things. Americans ostensibly like democracy and taxation with representation, to simplify radically. People don't inherently desire democracy though. That's taught, that's cultural.
From my understanding Russians are unhappy, sure, but what they want isn't really democracy or the changes less corruption would require. They just want Big Authoritarian Daddy to win. The social contract is that they suffer what they must and the tsar claims the world in their[Russia's] name. It's all worth it as long as they live in a great country. The lack of delivery on that is the issue.
The main difference between Navalny and Putin was that one of them had power and one didn't. Don't believe the handwringing about him being some democratic crusader, he was just another wannabe tsar who had to play nice with the West because he was less powerful than the actual tsar.
Nah. Young russians and the ones with means are opposed to this bullshit. Haven't over a million fled last year? I would bet most college educated russians would rather leave or stop this shitshow
>I would bet most college educated russians would rather leave
Nah, something like 90% of Russians support the SMO. You don't get those numbers without majority support across basically every demographic.
Problem with polls like that is smart Russians who don't support the war and are wealthy, have already left. And smart Russians who aren't wealthy are "smart enough" to say they support the war.
There are also Russians who support the war because it is "current thing" and "society" says they should support it, after all 90% of Russians support it, and 90% of my countrymen can't be wrong.
There are also Russians who know its probably bad but are so mind broken by propaganda that they think other nations are just as bad and their wars were as bad for them as the one in Ukraine is for Russia, so its ok for Russia to prosecute the war, and afterall, better the devil, you know
Polls can be very ureliable and may not reflect the true and private feelings of people on the ground. I bet if you somehow remove the pressure from "peers" or government, there would be a plurality of neutral answers
There is no such thing as a social contract. Not only is it entirely manufactured to explain to plebs why they have to pay their taxes when all other reasons have fallen away, it is an internally inconsistant point of view.
literally nobody cares about philosophy, either you are just and obey the laws of the land or you are not and dont
that is the social contract
>The lack of delivery on that is the issue.
I am convinced that russia won't see any real uprising or mutiny in the military because of this, no one is gonna rise up over democracy or freedom. And there's no proper strongman to act as a challenger now, at least that would get support from the public.
>its not like they dont have access to this information.
They simply don't believe it. The thought of that even fraction of presented information is true causes such a severe cognitive dissonance in russians that their mind subconsciously refuses to believe it, and this concerns all of them, no matter if they personally support war or oppose it. It's just way too far of a picture from what even most opposition minded russians had in their mind, so absolute majority of them would think it's some kind of psyop, or at least partially a psyop, or at least this exact case is real but that's a one time occurrence made up to look like it's common so it's still a psyop. Essentially, they feel the same way as would you if someone tomorrow tried to gaslight you really hard into that USA is ruled by alien reptiloids.
>They just want Big Authoritarian Daddy to win.
Not exactly. Their real core desire is to simply be left alone. All that normal russian wants is to get into his secluded rural shack where no one can reach him, especially government, and never leave until he runs out of vodka.
The rest is a job of propaganda to make him think that supporting this new and young 80yo totally not senile dictator is the way to achieve all his dreams! (it will work this time trust me bro)
>Essentially, they feel the same way as would you if someone tomorrow tried to gaslight you really hard into that USA is ruled by alien reptiloids
that wouldn't take any gaslighting, we currently have Mike Johnson in the House
Civvies aren’t allowed to own guns Anon. What’re they supposed to do?
Picture a farm full of cows. Cows constantly disappear into a truck with "FRESH BEEF" written on the side, and new cows take their place. At what point do you think one cow turns to another and says the madness must stop?
>And its not like they dont have access to this information.
I know this is going to sound crazy, but most people aren't on forums like /k/ discussing this conflict. They are very unaware and buy into Russian propaganda.
They have Telegram just fine.
They know it, just that the paycheck is so gigantic by russian standards even dying is worth it.
Russian manpower advantage right now mostly stems from being a nation of impoverished inbred degenerates.
If you draft someone who doesn't want to be drafted, they will be upset. It isn't safe to have an army of upset people inside your country, especially if you are giving them guns and "training" them to use it. The thinking is, 200 die? Oh well atleast they didn't take a trip to moscow.
Stripping training cadres as cannon fodder is hilarious. I guess they can replace them with surviving wounded mobiks and wheel them around like a samovar on a tea table.
The US can replace them and do so quickly, praise be to Musk.
It would be posted on this board everyday for the next 5 years, but because its russia nobody gives a frick, nobody is surprised. Tomorrow a video of 10,000 ziggers getting killed could surface and nobody would bat an eye, but if a video of ONE American dying from a drone drop got released it would be spammed non stop. Its all so tiresome.
>1130 Personnel

YEAH BUT REMEMBER THAT ONE DUDE WHO JUMPED ON A MINE
True but here we actually value human lives
The closest thing the US has ever had in recent memory was the 14th Quartermaster Detachment's barracks in Saudi Arabia getting hit in a SCUD attack. 29 dead, 99 wounded. President Bush Sr. wrote a letter to the families. A monument to the unit was inaugurated on the anniversary of the attack. There have been several house resolutions on various anniversaries recognizing the soldiers of the unit.
Just part and parcel of serving in the Russian army.
There are plenty of videos online (or were back when ogrish and liveleak was a thing) that jihadists uploaded of US Soldiers being sniped, or killed 2-6 at a time from IEDs

Pretty sure a bit more than that died in the webm anon
Exactly, and read about what happened to IED related deaths after the initial spikes.
yeah
>rockets cost more than convicts
They are not. Killing all russian army (2 million ziggers) by firing a named GLMRS rocket at each soldier would cost only 200 billion. It's just 1/4 of US annual military budget during a peace time.
Apples and oranges. Russian lives hold no value for russians.

I swear their autistic insistence on bringing up the westernmost point of Europe as their ultimate goal has single-handedly brought southern EU into supporting Ukraine.
Yeah, I know Spaniards who wouldn't normally give a shit calling for TZD when they heard that kek.
Holy shit. They are still alive. What a horrible way to go.
I almost felt bad for them
anyone who hasn't received a tungsten ball to the brain/back of the neck will still very much be alive after the impact before their internal organs fail due to lack of oxygen because suddenly there's 0 blood pressure in their bodies
A miracle some survived. Must have been in the blind zone created by the missiles warhead. You only get large chunks of the proxy fuze and the guidance section in like a 3-5 meter circle directly under the missile.
>A miracle some survived
They will not survive. A huge warhead went off directly above them, just a couple meters away. The shockwave has turned the cell walls of their internal organs to mush and they will inevitably die in on, two or three days at the most. Absolutely nothign can be done for them.

What the FRICK was he thinking. He took Crimea for free FOR FREE. If he left it at that Europe would still be happily guzzling his petrochemical teat.
This is exactly what i was telling myself the day of the invasion.
The first day I honestly expected Kiev to fall in literally 2 weeks, I didn't think any support would get there fast enough to make a difference and after a couple of months of sanctions it would be business as usual.
I'm so fricking happy I was wrong.
i'm not going to pretend that i knew for sure that Ukraine wouldn't just crumble but it was pretty evident to me that Russia fricked up big time and had no fricking idea what it just signed up for, for someone presumably so versed in history putin sure forgot how fricking insanely hard waging war in europe is...
I think he drank his own propaganda-juice while being in isolation during the pandemic. This and the false reports from his intelligence services made him think, that he was THE INVINCIBLE RUSSIAN BEAR and that everyone would bow down to him.
If Putin had turned the troops around on Feb 21 he would have won the "war." The US and the UK would look like warmongers beating the invasion drum, more cracks would appear in NATO as people wonder if there's any point if Russia just pulls epic pranks, and Putin's Bond villain reputation would be preserved as he misleads foreign leaders.
But instead he rips a line of polonium off a hooker's ass and Stalin's ghost tells him it's time to get the band back together.
at least it means that literally no one gives a shit what Lavrov says in any UN meeting anymore since every single word that comes out of his mouth is a fricking lie
You know you fricked up when even Ranjeeps are laughing at you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMIkWmlrXSw
the one thing I will give street shitters is that their total lack of self-awareness means they almost always speak their mind
Probably foreigners on some forum in Poostan.
>Be career diplomat
>People may not like but at least respect you
>Ukr invasion that you insisted was fake actually happen and you had to do a 180 so quickly it broke the sound barrier
>No choice as to quit so you double down and be a laughing stock
Yes I can believe their foreign ministry did not even know the invasion was happening and WAS telling what they thought to be true.
I can't stop thinking about this, what a fricking moron
He also would be raking in the money from Nordstream 2 and his arms exports wouldn't have been shown to be all garbage. Meanwhile Ukraine would continue to be poor with an under-equipped military and eternally cucked out of EU/NATO membership and US gas contracts by Crimea/Donbass. And speaking of NATO, Finland and Sweden wouldn't have joined either.
It's mind boggling to type out something like this and then think "and that's not even counting the dozen ships, tens of thousands of vehicles, and the fricking half million young men who've been cubed."
Think of the banan though.
Hell if you go even further back
>Right after Maiden Revolution
>Instead of 'little green men' just send out marked/patch wearing Russian soldiers to simply keep the peace outside their barracks/armories.
>Don't start shit. Don't attempt to CYKA BLYAT RUSH B. Just keep the peace and attempt to make contact with the new government to work shit out.
>No Malaysian Airline shootdown, no Crimea annexation, nothing. No PR/sanctions come because shocker... You have done nothing.
>Eventually the Pro-Western government will either fall or lose a large share of power in the next elections.
>Return to status quo within ~4 years.
>Azov never gets popular support. Pro-Russian groups are never brought down in places like Odessa. Russia keeps its port lease in Sevastopol and is basically seen as peacekeepers during a chaotic period.
I'll never fricking understand the gameplan with taking over Crimea and so blatantly supporting pro-Russian separatist. It backfired horribly and is now the reason Russia is suffering 200k+ dead w/ several magnitudes more wounded or mentally FUBAR. Any land they take going forward is going to make Cambodia look UXO free. None of the land is going to be safe for any form of exploitation going forward, either agricultural or mineral. Just.... So fricking stupid.
As I said in my post, it was an emotional response. People think Russians are like these ice cool rational chessmasters. but if you actually meet them you'll realise quickly they're highly sentimental and extremely emotional. Russia as a whole was -offended- by Euromaidan, in a very specific jilted boyfriend kind of way. The rejection provoked severe emotional pain and stress. This wasn't like Poland going to the EU, the Poles and the Russians had always hated each other. This was *Ukrainians*, who in the Russian mind are just like Russians, but not as good.
The only real strategic element in this is the idea that because Russians and Ukrainians are so close, culturally, linguistically, sociologically and ethnically that there was a perceived danger Russians might look at Ukrainians toppling their wannabe strongman homosexual and think to themselves "If they can do it, why can't we?". I'm convinced that something like that was playing on the minds of various Kremlin higher ups in the run up to seizing Crimea.
>People think Russians are like these ice cool rational chessmasters. but if you actually meet them you'll realise quickly they're highly sentimental and extremely emotional
God, that's my experience of them. Very moody and sentimental people. They can be friendly, warm, even welcoming. But they are so fricking sentimental both in nice and horrible ways. It's like a country of people with borderline personality disorder.
>It's like a country of people with borderline personality disorder
I'm now remembering dating a tiny Flipino chick with BPD. Much like the Russian military, the frequent anal wasn't worth the abuse.
>I'm convinced that something like that was playing on the minds of various Kremlin higher ups in the run up to seizing Crimea.
This is a fairly well-known dynamic. Hitler wanted to invade Switzerland for similar reasons, it's one of the main reasons China wants to invade Taiwan. They stand as living, undeniable proof that a group of people can achieve great success without the government/system that the other group has, which requires obvious, burdensome sacrifices to maintain. The Chicoms HATE HATE HATE that Taiwan is democratic, successful, and culturally Chinese. The same dynamic has played out numerous times throughout history, it's far deeper than 'grass is greener over there/I want my borders bigger' it's about conditioning the human mind about the realms of what is possible.
Putin needed a short term political win and overestimated the support within Ukraine. Crimea was a testing ground and an easy win.
That was literally it.
>>Azov never gets popular support
Without crimea annexation/donbass separatism, azov never forms as a fighting force to begin with.
The biggest geopolitical blunder we will ever witness in our lives.
I can't even think of a remotely comparable blunder in the past 50 years.
I'm thinking about it, and the last comparable blunder I can think of was doubling down on the Russo-Japanese war and turning a stalemate into strategic defeat and losing an entire navy in a single day.
Nah, you don't need to go back to before WWI. You have Stalin literally allying Hitler and helping him dismantle the buffer between their two empires. Then he also purges all his officers right before deciding to invade Finland and has a disaster. This alone would be a grade A frick up but he refuses to build significant fortifications on his new acquisitions in Poland and the Baltics to avoid "antagonizing," Hitler and against all his generals orders forces a stand down right before Barbarossa. Oh, and he sells military aid to Germany until literally the day of the invasion, giving them iron, wood, and oil they are going to use to kill millions of his people. And he treats the Baltics so poorly that 70,000 partisans spring up instantly to attack the Red Army's rear and vastly more Ukrainians also serve the Germans, not because the Germans are acting diplomatically, but because Stalin has been terrorizing everyone.
I think that takes the cake. The only thing potentially more moronic was Hitler starting WWII and declaring war on the US, or Japan doing Pearl Harbor, both of which were cosmic scale frick ups.
On a purely military level, MacArthur getting the US routed by the fricking Chinese because he was so incredibly moronic is pretty high up there.
Russia made a lot of sacrifices, yes, but at the same time the US population has had enough of wars, enough of Europe. NATO is basically finished, and the US is ready to hand the keys to Europe back to Russia. Most of Europe is going to lose its nuclear umbrella, and French and Bongs don't give a frick about what happens to Eastern Europe. Russia ended up paying a heavy price, but in 5 years we'll be back to the cold war spheres of influence.
Holy cope
>the US population has had enough of wars
Aussie here but seeing we have followed the US into every moronic war since Korea I thin we would have similar opinions.
I'm sick of pointless wars where we invade a nation that could never pose a meaningful threat to us.
I'm loving Ukraine and would love to see us drastically increase support because for once we are stopping an aggressor rather than being the aggressor.
>enough of Europe
Why? What has been going on in Europe to stress relations?
>NATO is basically finished
If Putin could have kept it in his pants another 10 years NATO would likely be dead, instead he waited until people started to question the point of NATO and then demonstrated the point of NATO only 2 years later. There is a whole generation that needs to die out before NATOs role is questioned again.
Ukraine is seen purely as Biden's fault. If things go as is it will be another Afganistan or Iraq. No more pointless wars, especially if it's to support the most corrupt country in Europe. America is hurting and people are sick of seeing billions and billions getting sent to Ukraine.
>Ukraine is seen purely as Biden's fault
How did he make Putin invade?
>If things go as is it will be another Afganistan or Iraq
No, it'll be a defensive war where the public supports the west and runs insurgencies against Russian occupied areas as we are already seeing.
>No more pointless wars
Agreed, defending a nation against a war of aggression isn't pointless and has huge geopolitical implications as letting Russia get away with it will lead to more land grabs and global destabilization.
Do you want WW3 because that's how you get WW3.
>especially if it's to support the most corrupt country in Europe
That is why they were rejected from the EU, since we have seen them making huge efforts to start fixing it at the highest levels with people Zelenskyy went to school with being charged.
It shows how serious he is when even the old boys club isn't above the law anymore.
>America is hurting and people are sick of seeing billions and billions getting sent to Ukraine
How much cash has been sent to Ukraine? That is the only actual expense as you can't use old Bradleys to fund schools and hospitals.
The only thing American voters care about is seeing Biden locked up for his crimes. Do you really think they could point Ukraine from the map
I doubt many of them could point to Hawaii, that doesn't mean they are ok with it being invaded.
say you are delusional without saying you are delusional
ah yes, I am american John Brownovich from Ohio Oblast. America is hurting really bad now, stock market is at all time lows and gas costs $8 a litre. Things have never been worse, half the country is unemployed. Biden is facing many lawsuits and has even been found guilty and must pay half a billion dollars in fines and settlements. Wish we had good life like in Russia.
"America is already great" didn't work so great for Hillary
>Ukraine is seen purely as Biden's fault
By Russians watching RT and Solovyev, yes. Noone else though.
>Ukraine is seen purely as Biden's fault
By whom? russian propagandists?
>russian propagandists?
Yes, The Republican Party.
>If things go as is it will be another Afganistan
This is unironically true. But it's the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan where American support for the defender collapsed the Russian state.
>I need the brownest take you have
>no that's too brown
Da, I am John Smith from Kansas Oblast and I am to be of agreeing with you. I am of being sick of wars in Europe, we must not poke the great bear of Russia!

I was like
>WTF I HAD NO IDEA

all of the dudes videos are extremely on point about russia-ukraine
I'm on part 3. Pretty interesting videos
Because he wanted to take more. For free. Those were the expectations of the 3 day special military operation.
This.
Ordering the invasion makes perfect sense if he thought that was honestly going to take Ukraine for *free.*
He, and many others, thought that:
> Ukraine's military was too corrupt/incompetent to make any meaningful resistance.
> Any conflict would be over in 2 weeks.
> The West/NATO would do literally nothing to help Ukraine and would not sanction Russia at all.
> Russian forces would take minimal loses while being hailed as liberators by a significant portion of the population.
If you are a murderous dictator, then why *wouldn't* you want to invade Ukraine under these assumptions? Free land/resources for no cost.
>He took Crimea for free FOR FREE
You're still not thinking monke enough. Here's the thing, In 2013, support for Russia was MASSIVE in Ukraine. Look at these fricking numbers.
Those upstart kids in Maidan were meaningless. A smart guy would have let it burn out, let them have a new Cool Guy(TM) leader and then gone to work on co-opting the next election cycle. What's 4 years? At that point, the situation in Ukraine was still salvageable with some canny polticking, especially in a country as corrupt as Ukraine.
But monke was personally insulted, as were all russians by the maidan kid's rejection of Russia. So he essentially went full monke to punish them.
I cannot stress enough that you all need to stop thinking of Putin as some kind of chessmaster before 2022. He was just as impulsive, greedy and stupid then as he is now. Crimea was a strategic disaster. It crashed the Russian economy. It put Europe on the road to rearmament. It reaffirmed NATO's purpose at a time when serious people were seriously starting to think it's purpose was done. It was a terrible mistake that Russia will pay for for the next 50 years most like and means that Ukraine and Russia will NEVER come to an accord over and genuine reintegration is now impossible.
That's odd, it didn't upload my picture.
>Russians always hated ukrainians, even when ukrainians liked them
And they have the GALL to use the "brother nations" rhetoric.
Funny thing, it was salvageable even before it began. 2014 maidan was not this "street fighting, burning riot police, shooting and trying to ram the barricades with a btr" shitshow from the beginning.
It was boring, civilized picketing with posters and chanting, which was on its way out as people became tired of it after some time and only a few from initial protesters remained. But
then yanukovich decided to clean it up, and disperse those few remaining with force.
Then, the barricades and street fighting began. He could have done nothing, happily remain in the office to the end of his term, and be replaced by another putins pawn after election. But no, he had to show force.
If they've done Azerbeijan instead they'd have captured a lot of hydrocarbons and would had been hailed as defenders of christendom.

>We had a good thing, you stupid son of a b***h! We had oligarchs. We had gazprom. We had everything we needed, and it all ran like clockwork. You could've shut your mouth, sent gas and made as much money as you ever needed. It was perfect. But, no, you just had to blow it up. You and your pride and your ego! You just had to be the man. If you'd done your job, known your place, we'd all be fine right now.
He ran out of vodka and pickles so he had to go to Ukraine to get some more. Once he get sober, the war ends.

What the fudge did you mean again?
We had TWO ENTIRE COMPANY feel the pain literally yesterday.
Roughly 65 died yesterday from tungsten rain according to ziggers and according to the latest zigger information there were about 100 KIA today. The numbers may or may not be accurate but these are people the Russians are training so probably not mobiks. It's not going to win the war on its own but it will probably have a tangible effect at least locally.
>Roughly 65 died yesterday from tungsten rain according to ziggers
And that's just everyone who died quick. Aside from them already possibly lowballing the number, it might've already risen by now after some dudes had to endure "surgery" at the hands of Russia's finest.
Kherson you say?
Looks like the himars operator was having a BALL!
they look exactly like ants after you hit them with the Raid.
yikes
MARK MY WORDS
in 1-2 days there will be an "incident" where a Russian Iskander or similar hits a Ukie training sites, the deaths will be claimed to be 66 and whatever kherson number are + 1
Russia actually did pull off a stunt like this last year during a Ukrainian awards ceremony. I can't find any followup other than the initial articles.
NOOK, NOOK
That just happened the other week when they claimed they completely wiped out the 3rd azov in a single strike before they could get to Avdiivka
That one happened but what was even crazier is after Russians mocked Ukraine for being dumb and having an awards ceremony at the front, not even a month later the Russians did the same exact thing and it also got bombed
>Summer frock
Almonds activated.
Source?
Did this actually happen again or is this just the footage from the ukranian side?
He didn't mobilize so good. Who wants to get conscripted next?
Unironically that's one of the main tactical advantages of national composed of 50 IQ biorobots
In the US people would riot after such incident, while in Ziggeria nobody cares - it's not you that got HIMARSed, so it's not your problem.
If Ukraine managed to do this everyday for 2 years and get around 80 mobiks every time it would only be around 58k dead. As nice as the video is, it really is just a drop in the bucket of the Mobik hordes
So you're saying we need to send more mobiks?
We need to pump these numbers up, these are rookie numbers.
>training camp for new recruits inside of a hostile country within artillery range of your enemies
What the frick
My guess is that possibly they just want to have as many boots inside Ukraine on standby as possible, to the point where they finish training them near the front so that they can still throw bodies at any possible breakthrough.
Either that, or their standard training before getting deployed is so shit that frontline commanders have to retrain them when they come in (while also being prohibited from straying too far from their position)
I think they finally find something that works.
And they also probably trained these mobiks meat waves as close to the front line as possible
maybe, so they couldn't run away? That this training is a suicide meat wave run?
Kek russian evolution of tactics
>big human waves dont work anymore
>switch to tons of small human waves
>I think they finally find something that works.
It worked ONLY because of the lack of ammuntion, which was confirmed by soldiers. Zigger meatwave leftovers started to pile up and create another meatwave on top of dead zigger storages and move further. With enough artilery, avdiivka would surive another year until 1-ton bombs destroyed it.
even with enough artillery, they will manage to break through, just like rodents
and for these smaller meat/rodent waves, Ukkies probably needs other kind of weapons to deal with these spread out attacks
Probably more cluster ammunition? Bradley with heavy anti infantry machine guns?
RIP, Jim varney
Interesting. So they accumulate mass at the front by just dripping dudes in and telling them to wait until enough survivors are clustered together to form a barebones platoon, then advance while more dudes drip in behind them. Those tactics are just basic infiltration, except without much attempt at stealth (since drones will spot you no matter what) and more of a focus on trying to be unworthy of an artillery strike. I'd call it "drip infiltration".
>or their standard training before getting deployed is so shit that frontline commanders have to retrain them when they come in (while also being prohibited from straying too far from their position)
It is this. Official stance people who are conscripted from reserve need only 2 weeks of rehash training.
Learning under realest circumstances, puzzified wecterners won't understand
>Between this one and yesterday's half a battalion got deleted in the last 48 hours by HIMARS
What is the ballistic equivalent for each of those tungsten balls? .45 bullet? 5.56 round? 12ga slug? And what is the percussive impact from the explosive charge detonating? 5 hand grenades? Box mine? 1 stick TNT?
>Please no answers involving swimming pools or school buses
I believe it's something like picrel. There's like 182k of them in the warhead, some anon claimed that the balls have around 6-7k fps right after the explosion in the near proximity. It's probably very hard to even calculate this shit and sadly there's not a lot of info about these.
It happened TWICE? You'd think after the first time that calling a meeting out in a open field would be a bad idea only to do it again? The frick.

>It happened AGAIN
Do you mean it's happened two times in the last few days or are you talking about that time a few months back when a training camp got a visit from HIMARS?
It happened two days in a row. Big grouping of Russian soldiers got hit with gmlrs yesterday in Donetsk and it happened again today near Kyrynsky
God every time you think the Russians can't get any dumber they surprise you. FAS is a real b***h.
There was some guy on here a week ago who was seriously concooooooooooorned that there'd been a drop in HIMARS videos lately. Hope he's feeling less concooooooooorned now.
seems like a waste of HIMARS rockets. They had a drone in the area, could have probably got similar results with ~ 6 hellfires. HIMARS should be for high value shit like S300's

yeah but remember that time redditors gave away their coords on reddit and 500 of them got kalibrated? that really happened pls guys believe me
>train in the only fricking desert in all of ukraine so you can be seen from miles away
If they had just went a few steps into the forest they may have not been spotted or their group not be identified as big enough for a himars strike
They walk out of the forest and are immediately struck with precision artillery. Obviously their location was compromised. How is the big question. Either bad comms or a spy. Anon above said they were using commercial gear and the US can crack that stuff instantly.
The cube whispers in Putin's ear demanding sacrifices. Today the cube was hungry.
Funny thing is Putin can end the war whenever he wants. He’s actively choosing to kill his fellow slavs. Typical R1A behavior.
they didn't mobilize so good!
Why are training grounds in contested territory?
>Why are training grounds in contested territory?
That question is getting asked a lot. I'm beginning to toy with the idea that they can't use or don't have training grounds elsewhere. For some reason(s), other training grounds are unavailable, or not properly equipped/configured for whatever they're trying to do.
One plausible, simple answer is that they are shipping fresh meat waves directly to the front because they need to be deployed IMMEDIATELY to keep the meat wave pressure up. There's not enough time to ship them elsewhere, train them there, then ship them to the front. Smells like a desperation move, so little time to accomplish what is being planned that they're trying to save a few days by shipping them directly to the front and training them in place.
Also, the training is probably nothing more than two days of "Run exactly where we tell you to run, or get shot if you turn away or turn around." Saves another twelve days off the two week standard training.
I'll add,
> "contested territory"
monke probably has a very different idea of what "contested" means. We see it as obviously contested, but vatBlack folk think it isn't/ Or, is much less so than reality. It's probably not a single answer, but a combination of factors.
Might have somthing to do with them pulling their training personnel into the meat grinder early into the war so now they want the survivors to do double duty training mobiks while being available on the frontlines.
