Buy it and you'll never buy a sweet truck or house for your trad wife. You'll get cookies from Internet strangers on this place of pseudo kommandos, psychos and schizos

Normally I would agree with and say something similar about “muh priorities,” but paying the same price as a decent AR for a very unique and talked about rifle, plus the proprietary can, is a pretty solid deal.

      >quarter less the price of a Sig Spear.

Since when were these even for sale?

Can you even buy those normally? That might be a firearms history purchase and worth way more than that nice truck another anon is sperging about in a decent time frame.

Buy it anon. also if your a CAD enthusiast pls take measurments and make a detailed model of one.

WHERE. I WANT ONE VERY BADLY

Ya I don’t think they really *are* for sale anywhere. That’s why I thought he wouldn’t be able to get an hold of one. Apparently my guy called True Velocity, and they quoted him $2800-3000 for the rifle + potato. He said something about how him being in the military and having an FFL made it easy for him to get one

It happens when you try to buy a gun that's been cancelled and all they have left over is shot out NGSW prototypes.

What’s really going to frick me is ammo price. I’ll probably have to buy directly through True Velocity at like $3/round

It's chambered in 6.8 True Velocity? Not 6.5 creedmoor or 308?

If you get it, post pics here plz. I'd love to see up close pictures or the TV rifle. Wish it had won the competition

As far as I know, it’s chambered in 6.8 TVC. I wish it was chambered in 6.5 creedmore or 308 though. It would be more practical

            Let's put this another way:
Either the round becomes more popular and stops being $3/shot and you have a unique early prototype weapon that shoots it,

Or it remains boutique unobtanium forever and you sell it at auction to a collector in 20 years and fund your kid's entire college tuition through one $3k purchase in 2024

If it goes into production it won't be worth more, and will continue to devalue the longer production goes on. But if they only make a limited number and never produce anymore it'll be worth a lot more than that.

What is the company going to do? Make a lot or a little?

          Anonymous

It will still be worth more since it's a preproduction prototype.

            Anonymous

No it won't and no it isn't, at this point if they are offering them for sale to any random FFL that calls they are in production and other than iterative updates it will be no different than one produced years from now. If they produce them that long.

They released a limited number of the complete SBR packages in .277 Fury with the suppressor and they were charging $8k for them, then add another $400 on top of that for the two stamps.

You can't use a different and likely better alternative? Whats the point of all of the modularity you gays like to larp about if you *have* to use the ugly-ass suppressor they teamed with for the military contract and its civilian offspring. Does that apply to everything else you attach to the rifle?

Part of me thinks my friend is stupid and that he’s buying a full-auto version of this gun because True Velocity thinks he’s getting it for a military showcase. I don’t think I will personally be able to own this gun. If this is indeed the case, would it be possible for my friend to modify the gun to be semi-auto?

      Anonymous

      >would it be possible for my friend to modify the gun to be semi-auto?
Nope, once a machinegun, always a machinegun according to ATF.
You can't just modify the receiver.
The only legal way to do it would require torch-cutting the entire receiver and re-welding it back together with blocks that prevent it from firing full auto.
