Took gay friend out shooting for the 1st time

He has always been anti-gun politically, but deep down seemed like wanted to try it out. My wife let me borrow her .380 for the day and I took my friend to a range. Despite having a 10 ft distance, he kept pulling every shot to the left. Every time I corrected him or offered advice, he would get defensive and say “OKAY, thanks ….” or give me a glare. I got the feeling he was frustrated that his shots were off target even at such a close proximity. He kept complaining about the noise of the gun “offsetting his concentration” and startling him. After shooting, he was very quiet and seemed pissed off. Oh well, I tried. Maybe I will ask him in a month or so when things cool off.

you might have been a dick with how you offered advice.
i've taken a fair few people shooting their first time, and some people have an ego about not being expert shooters the first time they ever fire a gun.
same with really anything in life, some people take "advice" as if it were criticism, so you have to choose your words carefully to avoid coming off as a dick.

Recognizing this in myself is a truly humbling experience, but one that's only just starting to pay off immensely.

You ever hear something about people learning best when they're 85% correct or something like that?
A steep learning curve is typically not the most efficient way to learn.
That's why it's often advisable to baby-step it more than is usually practiced, even to the point of teaching:
      -Basic safety muscle memory
      -Weapon familiarization
-Training with lasers, pellets, BBs, etc.
      -Training with .22
      -Training with center-fire, large handguns
      -Training with center-fire, small handguns
      And so on.
Otherwise they might cement bad habits.
Take the intro tutorial to the Witcher 3 with the comment about training alone reinforcing poor habits, or
Jews not even liking to pray or study religious materials with <10 guys ≥13 years old. (Probably contributes to why they're adept at manipulating consensuses).

Sounds like he's a big baby. Just forget it ever happened unless he brings it up on his own and wants to try again. Also don't be friends with gay people, despite the appearance of friendship they hate you.

just because everyone hates you doesn't mean the issue is with the gays

having more pro gun people is always good, so I wouldn't give up if I were you. try to be a bit more polite though

This. They've almost definitely adopted anti-traditional politics to the core, and homosexualry is deeply associated with mental illness to begin with. Avoid.

Should had held him at gun point and fricked him in the ass. You might contract monkey pox in doing so but that's okay because it won't be a big loss for any of us on board.

Are you actually moronic? Just about every gun has lower felt recoil than a LCP because it has no mass and a small suface area. You should have started with a USP or another full sized pistol if you wanted to start with handguns.

Because being a homosexual implies a great deal about his character, political leanings, integrity and ability to handle himself in mildly stressful situations. gays are really closeted heteros, they just don't have the ability to do the things they want to do, like shoot weapons.

bro you always start with a .45 or a .22LR subsonic. you need them to get used to the sound and feel of recoil.

  19. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

My .10mm is now my favorite handgun to start people on. CZ clone so the grip is great and 6" barrel so it feels like a cannon for most people holding that giant chunk of steel. People love it and felt recoil is low. This and a .22 revolver gets all the jitters out and they're just fun to hold. LCP is uninspiring so I'd say you could do better on that alone

He was pulling left because his limp-wrist was too weak. Bad grip means the gun shifts left on subsequent shots.

Also pulling left on the first shot means his trigger pull is twisting the whole thing left (also that his grip is also weak.)

I'm going to give you some good advise. Don't have homosexuals in your life. They will try and get your wife to leave you, gossip, cause eventually great evil in your life. You should no speak to or socialise with homosexuals EVER and never have them in your home or business, don't deal with them. You have fricked up but if you have deep down any sense you will know I am handing you some real wisdom of the ages. I hope for your sake you don't have kids and let it near them.

      Anonymous

This isn't a very kind sentiment anon. Not all homos are homosexuals or act like women. Would you advise OP to have no women in their life?

        Anonymous

Are we talking about single women? Because, honestly, that's probably good advice for married or otherwise monogamous men. Too many women who are not your wife or somehow related to you or your wife getting too close with your personal family life has a lot of potential to invite trouble. You of course have to have good relationships with everyone in your work and business life if you can, so obviously don't act like a dickwad to women in professional spaces, but you can't have people too close to a point where your wife has any reason to doubt your commitment to her or that the other woman might do something to frick shit up between you and your wife. People talk shit about Mike Pence being reluctant to talk to women when his wife can't watch him, and yeah he's a weirdo moron, but guess who hasn't had any sex scandals and is still happily married.
