-Training with center-fire, large handguns

And so on.
Otherwise they might cement bad habits.

bro you always start with a .45 or a .22LR subsonic. you need them to get used to the sound and feel of recoil.
My .10mm is now my favorite handgun to start people on. CZ clone so the grip is great and 6" barrel so it feels like a cannon for most people holding that giant chunk of steel. People love it and felt recoil is low. This and a .22 revolver gets all the jitters out and they're just fun to hold. LCP is uninspiring so I'd say you could do better on that alone
