THIS. There's a great new report by the Royal United Services Institute that outlines Russian tactics, Watling and Reynolds. Look it up. The Russians are learning and getting good.
For example, if an Orlan drone spots a Ukrainian artillery position, Russian artillery can get rounds in the area within 3 to 4 minutes. They also used mass artillery fire to break up the Ukrainian offensive in Kherson.
In addition, Russia is starting to use the electronic warfare systems, which they neglected earlier. Those DJI drones are a threat to the operators now, they can direction find the signal and target the operator. Plus the Russians have supposedly have some system to hack the commercial drones, land them and capture them for themselves. Spooky shit.
There are ways we can help the Ukrainians counter these systems and win, but it's no cakewalk
