Anon, it's normal ammo. It's designed the way it is because plastic is weak and they need a lot more of it to hold up like brass would. The hole with rocket nozzle like geometry is just a really long flash hole that's probably over designed.

The delaval nozzle seems like a bad idea, if anything it seems like the gas would find it harder to pass through
