US mil already has multiple low level drones becoming common issue, and the rest of the world always ends up following their lead. The question is gonna be how many are going to be munitions and how many are going to be pure recon without the weight of a warhead.
>drone operator teams are going to be deployed like mortar teams
Most drone uses are going to involve integration into existing units over time once when and how to use them gets ironed out more. The only time you would see dedicated teams for them would be suicide drone operations and to be frank I'm not sure how viable those are outside of for specific countries against specific countries within a specific time window.
fpv and controls are separate, you can generally customize a drone a lot and use all kinds of different parts
maybe it would make sense in a package deal
>I would think it would be more ergonomic on the controller instead of hanging off the visor?
It makes sense on consoomer ones like dji where the remote also houses the display. FPV is a different story though
>"I kept telling you people." >All my works, every one of them, a warning about the nature of things to come. >"You enjoyed, you played, but you did not understand."

Impossible. Those thing's "eyes" are a bio-electric sensor like a shark's nose and Lorenzini nodes. Those boxes over them would be like shaving a cat's whiskers. Did he think it would be funny to get them to run into walls and off ledges?
yeah its based off of how we control wienerroaches, you dont so much make the wienerroach do anything as you do hijack the sensory inputs to convince it its seeing something its not

It'll get better in the future when lockmart decides to build their 1,000,000 dollar super quad. Or at least it will look a lot cooler, the whole "zoomer with an FPV headset dropping frags on conscripts" bit is here to stay.
They’re circular polarized helical antennas for the FPV camera.
To get long range video with the 5.8ghz, you need either patch antennas or for le Uber distance; helical. Your field is reduced so your head needs to point toward the drone; but the range increase is incredible. The pair is because the goggles will pick the best signal of the two.
I usually run a patch antenna for distance, and a mushroom shaped antenna for 360° coverage.
If the same helical antennas were on a pole, it wouldn’t look nearly as goofy. If it looks stupid but it works, it ain’t stupid.
2.4GHZ RC controls don’t have the same range issue; special antanne aren’t as important.
It's cyclical. Renaissance mercenary equivalent private formations and state equivalent units doing the heavy lifting with the Gucci SkyNet shit, poor fricking infantry either as human walls or waves holding their bag.
i will wear the eyestalks
You vill become ze bug
if you can't beat them - join them
lmfao
thats quite funny anon
You vill bomb ze pod
You vill own ze drone and be happi
cyberpunk as frick
Literal bugmen
literally kino, looks like a 50s B-movie spaceman

DRONEMEN
THEYRE DEPLOYING THE DRONEMEN
drone operator teams are going to be deployed like mortar teams
I mean, they already are, it'll just take a decade more for militaries around the world to adopt it because of muh slow as frick bureaucracy bullshit

this is the future of warfare - circa 2053
Stompa before looting
Is there a reason those antennas (?) are like that? I would think it would be more ergonomic on the controller instead of hanging off the visor?

the little red one on the controller is most prob the fpv, the Taranis has its own antenna, I suspect the bug things are a joke.
just checked, no those are genuine antenna. It seems they moded the Taranis somehow.
The remote has a Frsky R9M 900MHz long range control link, while the antennas seem to be homemade helical antennas that are also meant for long range.
Soldier Borne Sensor would be squad level and IVAS is a means to get any info from any sensor to every single infantryman.
New Shadowrun looking good
wtf there's a new shadowrun in the making?!
>if only you knew how bug things really are

You are what you eat.
I highly doubt buddy there ate a chinaman.
Here's some cooler-looking goggles
https://files.catbox.moe/dyov52.MP4
that's fricking cool
looks like kojima found a new metal gear boss
>his backstory is that he was blinded as a child by debris from the Twin Towers, so now he can only see through his drone swarm

grim, but based
>She's a bird, she's a sidewinder
Looks like helical 2.4 GHz wifi antennas. Interesting idea to use wifi to connect to cameras on the drone instead of the drone control system.
Isn't DIJ runs essentially modded wifi for their digital HD video downlink?
We're in a transitional phase.

I would personally demand to be referred to as "Anon, MASTER OF THE SWARM" but that works too
God I hope this shit takes off and goes mainstream.
Imagine the parody porn.
>"Man this was a great idea. It can't possible go wrong".
That image has a lot of bad ideas in it...Yutani, one guy with a rifle, a pair of aliens, questionable control gear and once again Yutani.

>It would be kind of funny.
i think the idea is that the guy in the headset is viewing what the aliens headsets are seeing and he then commands them based on that information
yeah its based off of how we control wienerroaches, you dont so much make the wienerroach do anything as you do hijack the sensory inputs to convince it its seeing something its not
mammal trials started recently too iirc
He looks like he has two rapiers stuck in his head.
Rheinmetall just reviled their latest drone swarm mothership. You all will get droned by pic related.
Why do these drone vr goggles look so buglike?
>why does swarm tech resemble swarm animals
the insects infesting the elites brains wish to reshape us all as ants...
>why do antennas look like antennas

T. Fpv pilot
Didn’t really look at pic.. his radio TX is upgraded too. Looks like a TBS crossfire. 868mhz for even longer range than 2.4ghz
What would be the point in being able to see farther than you can deliver your payload?
show me a red crossfire anon
Are these Russians being drone'd?
Escadrone is Ukrainian, yes.
simpsons did it
"I, for one, welcome our insectoid overlords."
I don't remember this episode of the Commando Cody serial.
It's cyclical. Renaissance mercenary equivalent private formations and state equivalent units doing the heavy lifting with the Gucci SkyNet shit, poor fricking infantry either as human walls or waves holding their bag.
I like how they're using hobbyist gear to kill people
why two of them ?
So he can cover a wider field I presume.
seems the dude is really range maxxing
the spiral has 10 turns, so its a bit more high gain and directional than other antenna
Why, To look silly, of course
No fricking idea.
does anyone have a picture of the FPV drone he's flying? I'm wondering which explosive was jerry-rigged to explode upon impact
