They didn't. That's why the whole action is a self-contained module, if there was an issue they'd just swap a replacement one into the gun and send the original to an armorer for service.
That's the mentality behind most soviet weapons. Granted they're supposed to last long but doing shit like drilling out rivets and replacing a front trunnion is 100% an American owning a transferable AK thing.
If you have to remove your trunnion then you have fricked up badly. Most an a soviet armorer would do is swap out furniture/ gas tube or small parts. If they had to do anything involving rivets then the most they'd do is send it back to the factory so they can salvage whatever parts they can, especially the barrel.
Everything Fritz touches looks like this. He just likes making everything as complicated as possible to satisfy that kraut autism, even though it makes the end product total shit 95% of the time.
realistically you'd expose it, slather it in clp, work it a few times to get the go-nice juice worked into all the little bits, and cover it back up
a "field strip" of an AR platform is basically just "take the bcg out" and "a "detail strip" only goes as far as taking the bolt face and its various pins out. 90 iq grunts are not expected to maintain their rifles very well
You'd have a point if we were talking about the Second or Third German Realms where the military was a prestigious service to work in and could be used as a means of social advancement. In the modern post-national "Federal Republic of Germany" however the military is just a security service for an economic activity zone, and carries no prestige, and isn't a good career path compared to the private sector, so why would anyone of above average IQ join it?
Not true anon.
If I member right it was Sweden who reduced IQ requirement to 70 because they couldn't find any.
After experiencing a quite considerable backlash regarding the medical limit for moronation being 80 they bumped it back up.
It's going to look like that if it's going to accomplish firing, what? two or so rounds before the recoil impulse is felt? Any morons here that can design that mechanism to be vastly more simple, more durable, and more reliable, stand to make a ton of money. I would just powder blast the frick out of it, or encapsulate the thing if possible to keep it from getting dirty. That, and keep a spare.
The magazine thing was kinda fricked and needed improvement. I'm sure that could have been fixed. It all seemed like a good idea at the time.
German engineering, it'll work miracles and exceed expectations, but the second something breaks, you're completely fricked, and it's probably not gonna be long before something breaks.
They didn't. That's why the whole action is a self-contained module, if there was an issue they'd just swap a replacement one into the gun and send the original to an armorer for service.
>just throw the whole thing away if it breaks
german engineering

>just throw the whole thing away if it breaks
are you slow?
he's a 90-IQ grunt. cut him a little slack.

It was the front line of the Cold War. They didn't expect the grunt to last long enough to need cleaning it.
Correct. The effective life time of most if not all military equipment in the event of actual conflict in the cold war would be measured in minutes.

West German grunts are built different. You see the gears and levers, they see blonde, brunette, redhead. You get used to it.
I thought that was bomb disposal
>90 IQ grunt
>germany
anon there are nations whose militaries arent jobs programs for obese latinas
>European grunts have an IQ of 92
You are goddamn right
Have you ever fricking MET soldier in the Bundeswehr, lmfao.

90 IQ soldiers is a uniquely American problem.
even the current African invasion of Europe is entirely composed of doctors and scientists.

You're thinking of America during Vietnam.
Wrong again
It was designed to go 6000 rounds without maintenance at which point you hand it to an armourer and they give you a new one.

Two barrels.
Where's my check?
