1. I own 4 ARs and they never jam. Stop saying they are less reliable than AK!
2. I've owned 3 ARs and they all jamed terribly. Better buy AK, Mini14 or G3!
I don't have any AR so I have to ask. What's the truth like and why peoples' opinion differ so much?
buy what you want frick the rest
and frick ya mudda
PSA is the best and that's the absolute truth
This is unoriginally true if you stick to their complete lowers and stripped uppers. Toolcraft DLC bcg, BCM, DD, FN, BA, or any quality barrel, whatever rail you want. I'd upgrade the trigger to a Larue MBT-2, but the Np3 coated one that comes on the stealth lowers ain't bad.
psa overgasses their guns so theyre unironically more reliable than more expensive ones
>people are moronic
>people don't clean their guns
>people don't take care of their guns
>people shoot shit ammo
>people run the wrong ammo/gas system combo
>they suck ass at building rifles and did it wrong
For me at least when I hear #2 it just means they love guns that are overgassed to shit.
people are baiting or they are too stupid to assemble their build correctly
based OP you stole my trips
Link related is mine. imo AR is the perfect combat rifle. jams can happen, you just have to be aware and know how to react to them. if you put the thing together yourself minimize jams by choosing the appropriate gas system/buffer parts and are using the right ammo. it's a perfectly fine and reliable weapon if you keep it clean (initial troops in vietnam didn't, they were told it was self-cleaning).
People buy shit ARs and complain they suck, or more than likely they don't own any guns.
They buy $400 ARs then cry about their rifle being a POS. No different than guys who buy a C308 over a G3 then run into reliability issues. You get what you pay for
>T. Own an AR, AK and Mini-14
>They buy $400 ARs
my $400 rifle has thousands of rounds through it without a jam or failure of any kind.
M&Ps are gtg
Rittenhouse's M&P Sport II jammed lol
but did he die
AK;s had shitty ammo
AR;s are rabbit guns
They're both reliable.
They both jam sometimes due to neglect.
Water is wet.
just get both
Why don't you try shooting your AR until it jams. Then keep shooting while properly clearing the jams. Let it foul until it is inoperable. It is a learning experience.
I learned that my forward assist is extremely fricking useful.
Its literally just fanboyism, OP. Not a new concept. I'm sure you've come across it in other aspects of life.
Ford vs Chevy. Yankees vs Red Sox. ARs vs AKs.
In reality its always more complicated than just a simple blanket statement of "X is better than X".
you forgot, there's a third type that doesn't care
Palmetto state armory’s premium uppers and standard lowers. Use the money you save to buy replacement parts. If you’re super paranoid buy a Daniel defense bolt or something.
field gauges people.
Here is my personal experience. I have numerous AR-15s
>four daniel defense
>one knight's armament
>two aero precision
>one LMT
>two Colt
>one shitty SAA
>two larue
None of them ever had jams in normal operation. The SAA was built improperly and the gas block walked right off. This of course caused it to cease cycling. After fixing it, it worked just fine. One Daniel Defense (DDM4V11 Pro) had cycling issues. This was the fault of the trigger, a Geissele SD3G which is pretty easy to accidentally bumpfire or fail to reset the trigger due to hammer follow. Not really a fault of the gun, just the design of that specific trigger designed for as fast as possible firing from a semi-auto.
All the others have literally never had a malfunction. I exclusively shoot brass cased ammo and clean my guns sometimes.
