Theoretical question.

Theoretical question. Imagine you're on the Eastern Front, your company commander says there's a bunch of T-34's advancing on your position and asks which one do you want.
How do you reply?

A clarifying question. Is it the current eastern front, or the WWII one?

Does it matter if they're T34's anon?

the panzerfaust is like throwing a 30 pound rock so youd never want to have one when you actually need to hit a moving tank over the 50m range

And the Panzerschreck is so heavy and imprecise that you are better off disregarding it and lobbing satchel charges instead, just like the Russians did with their Lend-Lease bazookas.

it weighted as much as a BAR lmao

The BAR was heavy as frick, all the troops complained about it. It was designed as a WW1 trench gun and got used as a mobile light machine guns in humid jungles instead.
Would've been maybe ok in theoretical situation but the big guys presented a larger target and always got off killed first by the japs. So the manlets had to haul these pieces of junk around and find themselves exhausted before the battle even started.

    >panzer faust
    -single use
-very limited range unless it's a later version but -you are showing one of the oldest
    very slow projectile
    +not to heavy
    >Panzershreck
    +made to be related
    +better range
    +better projectile speed
-a bit heavier but still easily man portable
    -best with a loader

that being said my grand uncle knocked out 4 t-34 in a single action with a pak-38 so I'd rather go for one of those

Ask for a Javelin instead. After all, you don't want to miss.

      I've seen the javelin miss

        May we see it?

Russian tanks have longer range than the Javelin.
Ukrainians aren't willing to go hurrraaa and sacrifice themselves for a tank kill like the Chechens did with RPG-7's.

Yeah find the guys YouTube channel that that uploads videos from the Ukraine foreign legion, they demobilize the tank with an nlaw then fire a javelin to finish it off but the javelin misses so they have to throw grenades

    >panzerfaust if you need to screen/ambush tanks in close on the move or from a danger close concealed position, better than having to run it down with a thrown grenade or satchel charge
    >panzerschreck if you need to set up a prepared medium-distance AT crossfire more around or beyond the edges of 300m~ rifle engagement range or are running a dedicated tank hunter unit
this question is answered by wartime doctrine, so why ask

One Panzershreck for each squad. Maybe concentrating all panzershreck teams in a platoon into a single additional squad.

Panzerfaust just for everyone except officers and MG/ammo guys.

If I'm going to be facing t34s head on over open ground I'll take the Shrek every time. Panazerfaust is only useful in close range urban fighting where I can maneuver to the sides or rear of the tank without dying.

If the panzerfaust in arma 3 is even half accurate to the real thing, the panzershreck easily.
    >decide that the range is bullshit there's no way the arc is that harsh
    >look it up on wikipedia
    >"Because of the weapon's short range, not only enemy tanks and infantry, but also pieces of the exploding vehicle, posed dangers to its operator. As such, the usage of Panzerfäuste required relatively great personal courage."
