>The site "Sign my rocket" is trending in Finland – which donates the second most money in the world.
>The Chairman of the Finnish Foreign Affairs Committee is one of those who wrote a personal message on the arms of Ukraine.
>"Killing Russian soldiers is a good thing," he writes on Facebook.
What an absolute chad
I do like shitting on mohammed ivanov and co. but keep in mind how serious Finland takes the threat of Russia to this day and what that implies going forward
I think it's safe to say that the treat was both overestimated, and also greatly diminished from what it was in 2021. In any case, it's unlikely Russia is going to go for a two front war any time soon, especially when one would be against an honorary NATO member.
I agree the threat was over-exaggerated and Putin is not so foolish as to begin war with *another* country, but look to Poland as well. They are still arming heavily because let's try to believe for a second that Russia succeeds in Ukraine, Poland and the Baltics are the next logical objective for Russia - and since it's all hypothetical I'm assuming Belarus is absorbed into Russia by that point. Either way both Poland and Finland have no shortage of citizens with personal familial reasons to want to fight Russia.
>I agree the threat was over-exaggerated and Putin is not so foolish as to begin war with *another* country,
Well, thats the problem - just few years before everyone was sure russians were not stupid enough to go for broke and start full scale war in ukraine.
Now other countries are overcorrecting - "we are dealing with irrational player. He might take further actions that make no sense and will surely cause him to lose, but would also cause us serious damage. So we should be prepared to counter them"
Poland shares a boarder with Belarus which is basically Russia and Kaliningrad which is Russia, they don't need Ukrain to fall to be in danger, they have been in danger the whole time.
What Poland is doing with their huge armerment is making a conventional weapons MAD, if Russia attacks Poland will delete every power plant, port, refinery, railyard, base and airfield east of Moscow with PGMs.
>I think it's safe to say that the treat was both overestimated, and also greatly diminished from what it was in 2021.
It's still a threat in the sense a crazy junkie with a knife is a threat. Sure he's not a trained soldier, but he's desperate, doesn't give a frick about reason or consequences, and who knows what kind of shit is on the knife.
>"Killing Russian soldiers is a good thing,"
A good Ivan is a dead Ivan
I never knew Finland had a large portion of their government be moderates, implesive
>large portion of their government
A large portion of Finland's government doesn't want to be associated with this guy.
His analysis is often pretty spot-on, sure. He's also implied in his blog that the pro-immigration leftist-feminists might change their tune after they personally feel the effects of their policies by being raped, or something like that.
Bit of a shame how so many of his base are just aggressive morons who probably can't even properly read what he writes. Got to get those votes somehow, I guess.
Interesting how these posters show up implying things whenever someone says something bad about Russia.
>Interesting how these posters bleh blah
Fricking moron. I wasn't implying anything. If you've followed Halla-Aho's commentary even a little during this war you would have noticed that he has a special place in his heart for Ukraine
>A large portion of Finland's government doesn't want to be associated with this guy.
Yeah, because they are literally paid shills for Russia. They are so unimaginably compromised that even the fricking EU has called them out on their shit.
>Bit of a shame how so many of his base are just aggressive morons who probably can't even properly read what he writes. Got to get those votes somehow, I guess.
Except they did a study on this, and the results were that PS voters are by far the highest earning, and most educated voterbase in the country. Literally every other political party (except the greens, whose demographic are women and commies) is clinging to life because of senile grannies. Cope.
>the results were that PS voters are by far the highest earning, and most educated voterbase in the country
Calling bullshit on this one. Post source.
He's just a populist trying to make headlines.
Although, regardless of political persuasion, the cold calculus applies that every dead vatnik is another potential threat removed from finland's border. That doesn't mean the country revels in bloodshed, it's just how it is. The less military capacity the aggressor has, the more years of safety the world gains.
Sirs, these people are all talk in peace time. Russia will send FSB agents to inject him with Polonium capsule. On it the words: Killing the enemies of Russia is a duty and only in death does duty end.
Halla-Aho does seem to have a special personal relationship with Ukraine in particular
>paying others to kill off possible enemy combatants
>every single one being a one less possible problem to consider
he's not wrong either
Chad move by Finland, as usual
I haven't understood why European governments are so skittish about sending most of their arms stock to Ukraine.
Who else are you going to use it on?
>Who else are you going to use it on?
Killing Ukrainians when they don't pay for all their gibs.
>Who else are you going to use it on?
Russia?
I agree that the best thing Western Europe can do with their equipment before it rusts away is to let it go to Ukraine to kill as many rusgols as possible. They haven't been in any danger of conventional attack for 30+ year. And they clearly don't want to maintain the things anyways.
Finland might be in a different situation in this regard.
Your post could have been the textbook definition of implying.
>Finland might be in a different situation in this regard.
All the countries bordering Russia and Belarus are, frankly. It's a genuine sacrifice for all of them to send their equipment to Ukraine, even if it does ultimately further Russia's destruction and so aid their own defence. But what's stopping Germany or France? They're supposed to be THE EU countries and now that there's an actual security crisis on their collective borders, they fiddle with their nuts and pretend it doesn't concern them. Putting forth token efforts.
Just the sight of them shows what delusional nonsense any idea of EU federalization is. External security threats are the #1 reason for any kind of unity and governance, yet the EU can't even respond to this current crisis.
No no you see they have EU contributions, so Germany is actually the greatest contributor after USA.
>norwegian CV90 after an IED strike
Rando pic, but ok
>Rando pic
Vague reference to Swedish CV90s from international operations being sent into Ukraine.
Oh, now i follow
Abolish the EU
Partition Germany and France
Balkanize Russia
Subjucate China
>"Killing Russian soldiers is a good thing,"
WTF i love finlan now
Finland has been a thorn in the bear's side. Hitler saved them during World War II, do you think the new Hitler (NATO) can do the same during World War III? I doubt it
Finland was part of the axis during WW2 because of their war with Russia who was in the allies at the time.
You understanding of history is too bad even for /misc/ so I'm going to assume your are a thirdy shill.
and if worst comes to worst this time Finland (hopefully) won't have the UK declaring war on them, rather the contrary.
Halla-aho also has a youtube channel about handloading rounds specifically for vintage military firearms. Surprisingly he never did conscript service
I didn't do mine either and I love vintage firearms, like my SMLE that split its forestock on the first shot FRICK
I love Finland!
