The sealing gasket on the fridge has been split here for a while but the landlord won’t fix it until the fridge is completely broken. Is there anything I can do to help it seal better

Yes
I’m listening
Just run a bead of caulk down it

Might actually work. I had a foam rubber door gasket on one of my swathers that was tearing. I glued it back together with black RTV gasket maker. Worked amazing in that particular case.
Go to Lowes or Hlme Depot and buy some backer rod.
Stuff some in the hole and use the rest to seal holes in the building, start at the pipes.
Or just put some tape on it.
so break the fricking fridge you scumfrick. god this is why renters suck so bad, it's not even on the cold side you fricking moronic rentoid. I literally make zero fricking difference to your fridge. now frick off, you're not getting your security deposit back.

what did he mean by this?
You ok bro?
The gasket is a double wall design. Due to the rip there is condensation forming and mold inside of the gasket as clearly pictured. Probably not hurting efficiency much, but a moldy food preservation device is gross.
The mold is outside of the refrigerated compartment.
If it's that important to you, move.
>thread #73717 about some serf asking how to fix shit at the place he's renting
no wonder cuckoldry is on the raise
You ok bro?
i'm not fixing someone else's property (for free), so yeah, i think I'm pretty ok

Replace it.
Only right solution. Everything else wil end up looking weird, getting loose or accumulate moisture and mold. The thing is pulled vacuum when you open the fridge door so if you manage to get a good deal with a repair it will just tear at another place if it’s worn. Mail the bill of materials to the landlord and ask him for compensation, since it’s a damaged you reported to him and repaired for free
Frick asking a landlord for reimbursement. That just opens the door for them to say no. I'd just lower then next rent payment by whatever the cost of the seal materials were and include the receipt with it.
this, but make sure to put the old one back on when you move out
>buys land o lakes
This is why you're a rentoid
I tried RTV slicone. Doesn't work. Super glue works well but it cracks. I would try rubberized flexible super glue.
have you tried not being a cuckold who's trying to fix the property of someone YOU ARE LITERALLY PAYING TO?
