I tried one for my AR and it led to jams after about 10 cases.
It wound up being totally unnecessary since I shoot at an outdoor gun club and whenever I go I have the rifle range to myself, so the only brass israelite picking up 5.56 brass is me.
>take a gun with a fluted chamber and shoot only steelcase at this gays range
based moron
fluted chamber doesn't do shit to steel case, which can also be filtered out with a magnet easily.
just shoot brass .308 so it's damaged from the fluted chamber.
fluted chamber doesn't do shit to brass case either except get it dirty. been reloading for my HK 91 for over 30 years, the only thing that ever damaged my brass was the ejection port until I got a port buffer for it.
Back in the day, I shot a couple hundred rounds of Golden Bear at the outdoor range where I lived. As I was packing up, the guy a couple bays down was like "you're not gonna collect your brass?", I told him no and he was free to pick it up.
Picrel is the look on his face as he started picking up the "brass" cases!
A range I went to a few times when I was new to shooting had a 'no steel' policy, to the point where they would run a magnet over your ammo if you brought your own. They claimed it was to protect the backstop, but it was obvious israelitery.
Take a drawstring bag, put a stiff wire through the rim of the top of the bag where the rope goes. Twist it so it makes a full loop. Tie that to your belt. Dump cases in bag as you shoot. ...Or are you being sarcastic because a revolver doesn't eject cases?
My dad thinks when SHTF, he will take all our brass and trade it with a reloader for real ammo. Or sell it kek something like that. Yes he is indeed 44 years of age.
brass is more useful for plumbing or refrigeration in a real SHTF situation, and generally the price of useful metals tends to go up faster than the cost of food. Trading to reloaders is a small aspect of the utility of once-fired brass cases.
Your dad might be boomerizing but he ain't exactly wrong.
Being able to fix a fridge that you can keep running for 20 years off of 400w of solar panels and a 5kwh battery pack is worth holding onto some old brass case.
Heck I keep ~50lb of (painted and sealed) lead as weights/ballast on some personal projects just because it could do for ammo/ammo customization if things were really serious.
None of the indoor places I've been to have the brass israelite catcher.
The ones I have been to will allow you to pick up your own brass and only if it's behind the firing line.
I use this exact item and it works great, just need to clear it out every mag, but the zipper makes that stupid easy.
A little annoying to attach if you use multiple guns when shooting, but such is life.
>your brass
quit being stingy
>Boomer proceeds to attempt to fish brass from between the grates
the brass israelite fears the revolver shooter.
bring a rug or some cardboard
Bring a drip pan (find a decent sized one) so the brass has less opportunity to roll around
they make little brass catches you can attach to your ejection port.

>sir I'm going to need you to detach the brass bag or else I'm going to have to ask you to leave the range
Frick you boomer! I paid for this brass and I'm not letting your sausage fingers reload them without my consent!
buy g3 so he has to filter the fluted cases
These guys get it, take a gun with a fluted chamber and shoot only steelcase at this gays range

>OY VEY
*gets kicked off the range*
My uncle is obsessed with those. It’s impossible to go shooting with him bc he wants to stop every 5 mins to empty the bag of like 10 rounds.
looks like free brass for anon
looks like you found a second use for your prostate massager? good on you, friend. i'm happy for you
That's cool.
call the ADL
Fricking sponge bob at alabama bottoms
I want to get one of those for a revolver.
Take a drawstring bag, put a stiff wire through the rim of the top of the bag where the rope goes. Twist it so it makes a full loop. Tie that to your belt. Dump cases in bag as you shoot. ...Or are you being sarcastic because a revolver doesn't eject cases?
Buy a brass catcher
piss in it
The brass israelite hates him.
Pull the grate out and you get bonus brass. Frick 'em
Why do people want their bullet casings?
You can sell the brass for cash money
KEK
My dad thinks when SHTF, he will take all our brass and trade it with a reloader for real ammo. Or sell it kek something like that. Yes he is indeed 44 years of age.
>Yes he is indeed 44 years of age.
So how old was he when you turned up, 28?

Not the OP, my bro is 47 his son is 32.
>doesn't handload at today's ammo prices
NGMI
Is this normal at ranges in America?

couldn't you put a tarp or towel or something down to block the grates till your done then just scoop it up that way?
Heh
>that fricking Pachmayr AR grip adapter
autism, but probably comfy. Also a sear pin block? That's one fricking weird A2 style AR.
Looks kinda neat
just bring a tarp anon
Just duck tape a ziplock bag to your gun.
Problem solved
>melts through
Use it as a dumpster for your steel case.
>get can of gold spray paint
>paint the nastiest shittiest bimetallic Tula you can get ahold of
>frick up his backstop and brass bucket
Do they scrap it, reload it, or sell it to reloaders?
If reloading is involved, it might be fun to throw some primed brass into each collection bucket now and then.
This is why I only shoot aluminum case at the range
Oy vey. Off to the brass chamber with you.
Just tell your boyfriend to catch them
bring tarps, lay them down along every lane, fold them up and take all the brass of every patron when its time to go
the brass israelite fears the caseless kraut
>impossible to reload
>post-war design
woooooow
Empty your pee bottles into the buckets when no one is looking.
