It can hold 50 bullets. But more importantly: It looks SPACY and avant-garde!
A new age of guns is about to begin! The P90 is the gun of the future!

I would say something like “I miss the 90s bros” but I was born in ‘97 so I don’t actually remember the 90s.

I was born In 2019 and I actually remember the 90s
John Titor pls stop wasting time in this thread and go complete your mission already
The 90's didn't end until 2011 or so.
the 90s ended on 9/11
The truth. The 90s ended on 9/11 instantaneously. We had to eat "freedom fries" and observe a moment of silence for a few years. Couldn't take your friends all the way to the boarding gate at the airport anymore. Most concerning, though, was that the collective feeling in the air changed. It hasn't been right since.
>the air changed
>no air traffic for 3 days
It was GREAT! Frick planes.
An entire generation has already come of age that have never known anything but post-9/11 America. Soon enough Gen Alpha will do the same and they won't remember pre-Covid.

I literally work GNSS and unironically use paper maps.
I was born in the 80s and I don't remember the 90s much at all.

Just you wait, whipper snapper!
You were born when I started coming here and are now old enough to post here.
You gonna be ok, bro?
I'll be fine, cheers bro. it's just crazy to think about stuff like that.
Bummer dude. The world kinda gave up on quality things in 2001-2006ish
There's a few flukes but seemingly 99% is useless lies and intentional garbage.
Yeah, like remember when search engines actually worked?
i think that stopped st around 2015
You too, chud
I was born in '81.
I miss the 90's.
I was born in 82 and don't miss the 90's. This is the 90's.
>go to the atm before you go to the movies or get fast food
>get ripped off at the mall
>your poor school ain't nothing like the movies
>had to read the paper to see who was hiring, but most jobs you had to walk in and apply blind
Why are you still here, old man?
Nobody is capping that the 90s were the peak of Western civilization, just that things sucked less than the current situation and that back then the future still felt like a promise, not a threat.
I was born in 82 and the 90s were fantastic.
>History was over, Russians weren't threatening anyone except chechens, who deserved it
>Girls wore cargo pants and vest tops
>You went to the ATM before getting food or going to the movies, so you always knew what your spend was going to be

>Mysteriously, multiplayer games appeared on them almost immediately
>Without streaming and with sattelite in it's infancy, you basically all watched the same movies as your friends in school
Remember the old CBand dishes?
I got to beta test satellite internet being transmitted on cband. We had a mouse and keyboard that plugged into the receiver in the house. God it was so slow.
Not something I remember, but it sounds cool.
>You were there when your shitty schools first got computers, you knew more than the teachers so you got to set them up with your friends
>Mysteriously, multiplayer games appeared on them almost immediately
I'm a little younger ('86) but frick, Quake and Counterstrike on high school computers was kino. One of the only decent things about that hellhole for me.
I was born in 96 but I remember the 90s.
Being in the third world, 90s arrived a bit late here.
Born in '94, have a weirdly vivid memory of looking at a calendar in my room of August 1999
Childhood me was smart to make sure I could always say I remember the 90s
Childhood you was soaking in the last moments before the robot wars killed everyone.
I was born in 84. So I'm kind of the same thing. Especially when movies get all "wow the 80s was awesome. Remember this?!
>I can't remember that young.
Very young, I remember on Halloween one year I was holding my mom's hand. I asked what year it was, and she said, "It's 1990 hun." I also remember my aunt praying for my cousin (her son), who was away in the first Gulf War. But I don't feel that I'm an 80s kid. I'm firmly a 90s kid. Well, actually, I'm old as shit now.
>I'm firmly a 90s kid. Well, actually, I'm old as shit now.
So fricking laughable.
Born in 72, prime years in the 90's
It really was that good
I was born in 1985. 10 in 95, 15 in 2000 and 20 in 2005. Can't complain I think I pretty much experienced the height of human civilization at just the right time.
>I think I pretty much experienced the height of human civilization
So it is for all.
I guess this is supposed to be some sort of ebin contrarian sarcasm post or something. But P90 is a super, super fun gun to shoot and if one ever gets the chance to rent at a range or a friend has one well worth it. Ergos are perfectly pleasant if different. A few /k/ommandos have them and like them. I bet it'd be even more fun with select fire. It's just the ammo is quite pricey for what it is and always will be, and the PCC/SMG niche has shrunk quite a bit even from when it was designed. Not like it isn't functional though.
>But P90 is a super, super fun gun to shoot
I just want a P90 in 6mm ARC or similar. Also
>this is a weapon of war
>it is designed to _kill_ the enemy
My HD gun is a ps90 sbr. I love it. It's the gun that I throw to my wife whenever I need her to be armed with something more than her favs (a tx22 or a 5 shot snubbie)
As a PCC goes you can't do any better. A P90 and Five-SeveN loadout make you prepared for basically anything other than 1000m+ engagements across the Khyber Pass and let's be honest that isn't happening
>inb4 9mmlet coping and seething
Its pretty good. Weighs as much as a MP5 loaded with a 30rd mag but has 20 more rounds on tap and is much more compact when held in the firing position. Its a simple blowback operation so it requires little in lubrication and has a dust cover ejection door that can be closed to keep debris out. Original optics use mirrors to keep the height over bore down to a minimum and is quicker to take apart than a AUG.
Ammo is what it is, high speed, low recoil, and expensive. Perfect for a PDW but not so much for a door kicker assaulting fortified positions.
>so it requires little in lubrication
Worth noting the ammo itself does need to be lubricated for the feed. That's part of the reason it will always be more expensive.
Its no different than lacquer coated steel cased stuff. Only issue arising from that is just needing to be a little more thorough when it comes to cleaning the chamber. And I'm pretty sure its only certain FN boxed ammo that uses the coating, American Eagle (aka Fiocchi) doesn't use it hence the cheaper price.
>quicker to take apart than a AUG.
1. remove mag
2. push button
3. pull receiver and BCG out of stock
4. (optional) slide off buttpad/press buttpad fontanelle and remove rear sling pin
5. (optional) remove trigger pack
What am I missing?
its also incredibly easy to illegally convert to selectfire
thank you based FN!
I don't think that this is true. You may be thinking of the Uzi mdl A?
>no earpro
>no can
weird how that sticks out at me now
Is this GATE?
>Is this GATE?
GATE wishes it was even half as good as SG1, and I'm a self-admitted GATE defender.
It's American/Canadian GATE.
I mean I'll shill for 5.7 any day but dang its not THAT great
I liked the original SG movie but had no cable or most channels as a kid so never watched more then a few dozen semi-disconnected SG1 episodes. Out of curiosity by whenever that was were they starting to hybridize/enhance any earth tech? Like use alien super materials in their bullets or something with otherwise the same gun? I know later on they started doing human designed spacecraft at least that were a mashup of technologies.
Firearms stay superior to staff weapons throughout the whole series.
I think there are one or two civilian tech advancements mentioned during the series, and the military does several developments out of alien tech throughout the show, but I think the most prominent ones in SG1 are reverse engineering Death Gliders into a human-equivalent space-capable fighter and the FTL-capable ships Earth develops with the Asgard's help.
блять этo aхyeннo : D
>Out of curiosity by whenever that was were they starting to hybridize/enhance any earth tech?
no, that was later iirc
they had a prototype armor/plate insert that could negate staff weapons. but otherwise, they used good old lead spitters.
Amanda Tapping's ass was phenomenal in combats.
Got fat after birthing, od pants hide tummy well.
Its funny because I noticed the first couple episodes where they were using P90s the bad guys wouldn't go down when shot.
Absolute kino
#notallisekais
Well this looks fun. Is it actually good, anon?
it's okay
Not that anon, but I saw that manga on the shelf while doing my "buy anime and guns" run and it looked interesting, might give it a shot
Old man Remington died long before cartridge arms were a thing
I'm going to give the author the benefit of the doubt and assume that he knows a shotgun from the 1950s wasn't designed or manufactured by a man who died 100 years prior and that the character is just dumbing it down for the primitive screwhead he's explaining his boomstick to.
I'm sold.
>1st panel BGM: civil war fifes and drums
>2nd panel BGM: heavy metal riff on the key of Make Dogs Bark
thank you for the reminder to day dream about P90
It's literally just a vehicle crew & logistics trog weapon meant to keep them from getting killed by Soviet commandos.
A full-auto weapon at 20" OAL with very little recoil and a 50 round mag will always be a good gun to have. It's also ready to shoulder at that length, which is something most designs don't even try to work around and end up with a moronic folding stock.
>which is something most designs don't even try to work around and end up with a moronic folding stock.
how about a folding stock that flips open when you disengage the safety
The big problem is needing to accommodate for the space to deploy it. A ready-to-go configuration doesn't need you to hold it away from the body until it's locked in. It's one motion from slung to aimed and it takes less than a second. I think being shoulderable from its most concealable configuration is one of the most important features to a PDW because the idea should be that you can shoot it at a moment's notice.
AUG or M4 SBR
VDV aren't all dead
The difference in size, recoil, and capacity between the P90 and AUG is similar to the difference between the AUG and an AR-10. They're not in the same world.

The p90 looks like that because is a perfect balance of industrial pragmatism , dictated by mere ergonomy , in which form follows function.
It came in an era before the advent of strapping Rails to every side of everysingle gun that hit the market became commonplace , before every company started abortinghis own shitty AR clone , or a transformer-like bulky mountruosity
reasonable critizism is its very niche inteded use , the straighwall casing (wich is teflon coated to aid extraction) and its limited supply/avaliability of ammunition
would you choose to critizise the fs200 you would be 100 correct , herstal went full moron with that one
I don't mind the look of the F2k though can reasonably see why a lot wouldn't, but honestly it's one of the shittiest feeling guns I've ever shot particularly at that price. Too bad.
The P90's user interface is bad—the safety is clumsy for right-handed (i.e., most) shooters, the charging handle and mag release are undersized, the ambi BUIS (!) are nearly unusable and pointless for the guns intended POU anyway, and the stock feels weird and...lumpy in hand. Anyone with experience on literally any other rifle will have to convince themselves to like it.
Good enough for SG1, good enough for me
Memes asides, the P90 is actually a solid PDW.
Among the best of the best even.
It just works.
Based, too bad ps90 got the long barrel
That's not too hard to fix, the real tragedy is the no automatic
That is not hard to fix, found a surplus police kit for mine with some awfully funny bits in it.
>Barrel spring and wrench is supposed to arrive tomorrow so I can slap the original barrel in it
Now I just need one of the old-school Secret Service model Ring Sight things and I’ll have a nearly perfect select-fire old-school P90.
I have the illuminated one on mine. FN recently changed the mold for the upper receiver tho and thickened it up in some areas so I had to shave a section away to fit it properly. Yours also appears to be the newer receiver so it will need the same treatment unless you can somehow find a non-electronic fiberoptic one with dead tritium.
I've also seen this on the ring site website. How recent is "recently"?
Maybe close to a year but I'm not sure
That video was very helpful. Def more than a year. Based on that video I have a newer receiver and I bought mine around the time of the Trump Bux.
If your receiver has a flat part where the serial number is stamped and the serial number is color filled white you have a new receiver.
I have the tritium black ring sight on mine. Tritium still glows enough in no light situations for now. Not really a fan on how low these optics sit because I gotta squeeze my fat head down to see it clearly. And I have to do this without doing the head wienered forward AR-15 stance or else I'm just pushing on the magazine and can induce failures to feed. Probably jerry rig a offset optic on the side rail to sit higher and use the ring sight as back up one of these days.
Well, that’s the particular sight model I want. If it’s a pain to deal with, I’d happily offer you my pic rail and cash for it.
It's a good gun, but it needs optics. What do you guys use as your PS90 optics?
>What do you guys use as your PS90 optics?
I threw an EXPS on the stock rail on mine but the height-over-bore is fricking insane. Gonna try and get a low mount but I dunno what I'm gonna put on it yet.
just get NODs and pretend you did it on purpose
or one of those magazine couplers that lets you use the second mag as a stock riser
My nephew has a Kingsview battery-powered ring sight on his, if I had one I'd probably go with a 1.5× ACOG in a Tros USA ultra-low mount.
Decent pistol companion too.
I'm very curious about how awful the DAO Five-seveN's trigger must be.
I saw one once at a gun store probably 15 years ago. It wasn't fun, but I recall thinking the trigger guard was hideous.
I have an MK2... I do not trust this pistol. I have had more malfunctions with this pistol than any other firearm I own. I can't bring myself to sell it because i don't want to curse anyone else.
Get the S&W, Ruger or even PSA.
i would eat joe biden’s ass for a full auto p90
would you still do it if he were spewing senile liberal gibberish about how putting a stock on a pistol makes it into a gun and you can have a rifle caliber that's way more caliber and blows the lungs out etc. the whole time
only if he were proclaiming his loyalty to the queen.
>Facebook boomer post
Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at the bar b***hing about your ex-wife or trying to get your kids to talk to you again?

You da man.
I just sent off my barrel to TROSUSA to have him cut it down, anyone got an idea of what his turnaround has been like recently? Just curious, I know I've seen plenty of people crying about him taking forever to get around to theirs but it's not too big a deal imo.
You should have just bought a CMMG barrel broski. You won't see it for atleast 9 months
Eh, when I decided to cut the flash hider off (quite a while ago I'm a lazy frick) I couldn't find the CMMG barrels in stock anywhere, and they cost a bit more anyways.
If I gotta wait 9 months so be it.
The future isn't going to be 'le ebin spayse gonnes!'. It's going to be a return to comfy guns, like this little beauty that takes everything your SGC blaster does and wraps it up in a neat little package you can bring home to meet your parents.
needs a Unity or GBRS riser

Sad the K11 got the same treatment. Some day, this shit will actually work, given that the DoD's been fussing with the idea since the early '60s at least.
imagine
>a military where everyone gets the same weapon
>everyone does their part
>volley fire in the 21st century with the boys
>bugs never stood a chance (no matter if you're in taiwan or klendathu)
>haha tööb
So much fricking kino. We're gonna get there, I'm sure the DoD beancounters will try again and again until the tech finally works.

I just ordered the P90 stock for the 10/22, not looking forward to changing the barrel on that piece of shit.
Isn't the 10/22 barrel just clamped onto the front of the receiver with a little screw?
The new 10/22's have a high ass tolerance when it comes to their barrels and dove sights if it's anything like the last barrel I had to remove it took 3 days of ugga dugga and ruining the old barrel in the process to get it out of the receiver.
Stick it in the freezer overnight first. Shrinkage.
Go frick yourself.
It should be illegal to take a photo of a p90 with no rounds in the magazine

how about 500 bullets?

If it wasn't targeted squarely at militaries and leos, it would have taken off way more for stuff like home defense.
