The Best Semi-Auto Rimfire Ever - CZ 512

CZ cancelled because you cheap bastards would rather buy a low buck 60's era low tech 10/22. Then you chuds spend >$1k trying in vain to fix the garbage 10/22.

We shoot competitions. The people we shoot with usually want to try the 512 since it's not the usual 10/22 everyone else shoots. Usually around the end of the day, after the guns have run flawless all day, people start asking to try the 512's

        >2 maybe 3 shots touching
I can do that with a pistol if I change targets every 3 rounds. Post 5 or 10 shot groups.

That is a 10 shot group at 50 yards.

          Here is another one.

10/22 is superior to anything. Any 10/22 I've shot is unbelievably accurate. There's also an unlimited supply of parts and accessories. If I get a CZ it'll be the 457.

These CZ's are vastly superior to anything semi auto 22 out there.
The S&W 15-22 is a better training tool, but these CZ's shoot better groups.

What about the 512 is actually different? You can put an accurate barrel on a 10/22. Is the feeding mechanism better or something?

      >> What about the 512 is actually different?
It's a 50 year newer design. It has cool modern features like being able to clean the barrel without drilling a hole in the back of the receiver.

      >>You can put an accurate barrel on a 10/22.
512's come with very good cold hammer forged barrels. No need swap it.

      >>Is the feeding mechanism better or something?
      Yes.

A 512 isn’t a poor choice, but it’s a worse choice than one of their bolts. The benefit of the 10/22 is that it’s infinitely more common and supported.

Yeah the 10/22 needs support since it's a shit design that needs tons of upgrades to even work half as well as a CZ 512

So? I have a bunch of CZ bolt guns, 10/22's and more . . .
My 10/22's rarely even get dragged out anymore.

If you get a lemon let ruger know and they'll take care of you. My 90s 10/22 is perfectly fine assuming you use factory mags.

        > I have a bunch of CZ bolt guns, 10/22's and more
Doubtful. The CZ is average or even budget by comparison if you start looking at Sako, anschutz, etc.
At least the Ruger knows its place and is cheap for that reason.

I think it looks lame so I bought a CZ455.
It shoots 1 MoA with plinking ammo, I love it.
