because it's old and simply not updated to the current standards of armored warfare. it was an ok tank in the late 80s but now needs a serious overall. fact is that the italians rarely use tanks anyway so their ministry procrastinated and in turn favoured the navy, which is the only branch that is actually doing something with the Black personboat crisis
Decent platform hampered by its lack of actual updates since its introduction, the gun is comparable to L44 leopard guns,so its inferior to the latest Leo and abrams in term of pure firepower, fire control should be on par with the AMV updates though.
Its worst issue is the lack of blow up panels, its the least protected and secure western MBT,but its still a modern western MBT in term of firepower and manouvrability so its kinda the worst among the best
Not until you send it to Bakhmut and we see. No military machine can be considered good before combat proven. History has shown that even best designed devices reveal many fatal quirks or exploits as soon as someones life depends on it.

No
Source: sono italiano, quindi smettila con le thread di merda
Arieta is the only tank that is undefeated in actual combat.
>Is ARIETE any good?
Compared to the rest of the NATO, then no. they are by far the worst ones.
>Arieta is the only tank that is undefeated in actual combat
when and where was it deployed? I don't remember Italians sending any to the middle east
>when and where was it deployed? I don't remember Italians sending any to the middle east
That's the joke anon
ariete was sent in somalia
Judging by the fact that the spaghetti Black folk are currently playing with the idea to procure the Leopard 2A7x I'm not really sure.
It's from mid 90s so it's probably on par with early T-90s but cannot compare to truly modern tanks like Leo 2A7, Abrams SEPv2 and v3 or the Arjun
Upgrading the Ariete will make it competitive with the Leopard 2A7.
war thunder told me it has no armor
much better than whatever slavshit it would likely face in combat but not as good as more modern western MBTs
Everybody says this tank is bad, but nobody is saying WHY it's bad or lists sources.
>WHY
it's italian.

It's the best looking MBT. Italians understand that style comes at a cost

This is just Italy in general
From what I read it's ok but outdated, definetly needs new models

I would say its good enough. Better than any T series tanks at least which would end up being its opponents.
Ariete just got recently updated with a new turret and new engine IIRC. Should ask Pavel in /wtg/, he knows more than I do.
