That's like saying "there's nothing agricultural about WWI tanks built out of tractors". Sure it's been modified a ton but the base chassis is still an agriculture drone.
As soon as the production lines for dedicated heavy load military drones get completed they'll probably start getting phased out in favor of chassis that are built from the ground up as military drones, these things are $10-20K each unlike disposable FPVs so they'll definitely get the extra design time to make them as efficient as possible.
I wonder what percentage of combat, equipiment destruction-wise, not just random shootouts, ends up not being filmed and released online, intuition would say most of it is not filmed, but that would imply really high attrition rates considering how much ultimately is filmed.
A lot of losses aren't officially documented online or even witnessed by the enemy, there's all kinds of losses behind lines due to mechanical failures, accidents, illness or what have you that Ukes or Ziggers have zero chance of seeing.
It can yeah, but it's still combat ineffective for that time and there's a few infantrymen who never come back because they die of disease or cold or accidents or something like that.
All in all though, documented kills is more representative of ratios than total number of units lost.
Drones don't watch artillery work all the time, especially if it's directed by counterbattery radars. And not all of it gets posted, take for example road next to Krynky, yes we see some fpv videos from there but when Russians film riding on that road amount of destroyed vehicles on it is several times higher
Drones becoming the real force is my favorite thing about this war.
Surely, they wont do a lot against military of US capabilities, but as the tool during defense phase against snowBlack person state like Russia or some other thirdie countries, they are so fricking effective, versatile and cheap.
Ukraine plans to make at least 1 million of those in 2024.
Imagine the fleet of these angry little motherfrickers fricking up both trenches and infrastructure with terrific precision and human life economy. And they are fricking cheap in comparison to tanks, artillery or air force.
Vatniks were gloating about their NV FPV drones but Ukies are catching up it seems. I guess if you're lucky you go out fast and just get to hear 2 seconds of buzzing sound.
>if you're lucky you go out fast and just get to hear 2 seconds of buzzing sound.
I wonder if they'll hear even that.
Those old Soviet cars and vans have just about zero sound insulation around the engines, which are often so shit that you have to make them scream at the edge of redline just to move the thing at a decent speed without stalling.
One sergeant I once served with claimed he got his UAZ to move almost at highway speed, but at that point there was foul-smelling steam coming in through the dashboard, possibly with some smoke too, and it was so loud he could barely hear the passenger yelling straight at him. He didn't try that again; claimed the steering was so loose he feared for his life.
I would buy a loaf in a second. I don't care if its supporting the russian war effort, I want one. hundreds are being wasted at the front line when they belong with me

>Ukrainian Baba Yaga
Baba Yaga is a big agricultural drone modified as a tactical bomber with 8x VOG or a TM mine
>big agricultural drone
there's nothing agricultural about that drone

yes, but if an vehicle is damaged in the rear it can be easily recovered and repaired
>it can be easily recovered and repaired
Look how hard for Germans to repair Ukrainian Leopard2 tanks.
It can yeah, but it's still combat ineffective for that time and there's a few infantrymen who never come back because they die of disease or cold or accidents or something like that.

Almost all combat in Ukraine probably has drones watching it from at least one side at this point.

I refuse to believe it was actually killed.
