Talk me out of buying a Beretta Tomcat in .32 ACP. I'm looking for something for pocket carry even smaller than the 642 I have and I think it seems like my best choice, where both it and the caliber are still big enough to be feasible but also small enough to be easily concealable.
Also looked at the KelTec P32 but idk if I want to trust my life to a KelTec, plus I have no doubt the Beretta has a nicer trigger
I will not talk you out of it. You should buy it and a case of ammo to shoot it as often as possible.
This is the average 3032 owner. If you buy a 3032, this is how you will be seen by society, and your family will have no choice but to honor kill you.

But seriously, is there a better tiny pocket pistol I should go for instead?
Bersa Thunder Combat .380, or the Beretta Jetfire with self defense .22's. Based small pistol enjoyer. As much as I love 10mm tiny pistols are kino.
Anon… I watched the first minute of that… I want that fricking minute back anon… that was so plain that skim milk would call it boring. Jesus Christ… that’s the gun video version of prozac…
Got one for my mom because she's got the arthritis, it's a nice little pistol. the tilt action is pretty neat
I will not talk you out of it. I just bought the 21A with threaded barrel in .22lr and it's stupid small. Literal "forget you're carrying it" weight and size. IIRC the .25 and .32 cal versions have a foot pound limit mentioned in the manual (so it doesn't beat the gun to death) so be sure your carry ammo doesn't exceed it. Go on gun.deals and make sure you're getting a good deal; I've seen 21As sold at $150-225 more than the cheapest site on gun.deals.
This too; the tip up barrel is neat and convenient.
>foot pound limit mentioned in the manual
Not good. European CIP-spec 7.65 Browning is slightly hotter than SAAMI 32 ACP. With a tiny gun like that you want as much penetration (with FMJ) as you can get.
They are known for the frame cracking, and beretta refuses to do anything to fix the design
I carry my Kel-Tec P32 all the time. I have enough trigger time with it that I think it is reliable. That being said, the only ammo that has ever given me trouble is PPU, everything else feeds, fires and ejects just fine. The Beretta is probably much nicer in fit and finish though.
See my P32 sucked on PPUs, even chocked on S&Bs which I know is the better ammo for it. Only thing that it would run with no issues was Hornady FTX or whatever. I sold it anyway. Didn't trust it. Loved how small it was/the concept of it.
might need to replace the mainspring or the mag springs mine needed those replaced but worked flawless on pretty much everything after that.
The gun is fun to shoot but sucks to carry. It's really thick all the way through, and it's so short the grip wants to fall out no matter what you do.
>it's so short the grip wants to fall out no matter what you do
You mean in the waistband? I'd be pocket carrying and don't think that applies
I have the keltec p32 and i havnt had any issues with it. The berettas are pretty thicc if it has the double action. the single action 950 in .25acp is much thinner. That said, handle one and see if you like it
>Talk me out of buying a Beretta Tomcat in .32 ACP
No. I have one. It's a dandy little pistol. Shoots accurately, is dead nuts reliable, and the trick flipping barrel is cute af. A bit thikk, but more cushion for the pushin'.
they still crack frames because the "don't use ammo that's too powerful" is actually cope bullshit. Almost every crack develops at the same place and all it would probably take was to add a little more metal to reinforce the area.
the area that cracks is in a non-structural area. they could also solve the problem by removing metal in that area.
It's definitely one of the pocket carries of all time
Walther pps or glock 43x will give you better accuracy. The tomcat is a great gun it is just not that accurate at range.
I'd do this instead
image didn't attach for some reason..
I'd do this instead
all I heard about it was the very heavy trigger pull. 9 pounds? Cant be that bad really.
These berettas are fairly big right? Like nearly the size of a lot of 380s?
I'd pick either
>NAA guardian 32 auto
Only slightly bigger than seecamp and can reliably shoot 32 auto fmj which you'll want to use
>keltec 32 auto
I get the same feeling as op but supposedly they're reliable
The p32 is a reliable gun. It doesn't get much smaller and lighter for pocket carry than a p32
Bersa thunder 45 acp
I own a covert model and previously owned a standard inox. Very pleasant gun to shoot and easy to shoot accurately. One thing to note is that at least on my two guns, they are picky about cleanliness and lubrication. Runs fine till around 100 rounds and then starts to occasionally hang up while feeding.
I had a tomcat, broke the frame, got to find out beretta has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced...got a new one under warranty and sold it asap
Much happier with the p32
