That image is too HD to be from Russia, needs more pixelation to be believable anon.

Right, the KA-52. The helo that got taken out by Stugna, that helo? It's only a threat to innocent farmers so far.

So end of July or August. Ukies get 2 months to pick any location they want to cross along 300 miles of unprotected “shores”

    >easily passable terrain
That's probably the least passable terrain in the entire country.

I saw some videos and it looks like a beach. Nothing impassable about it.

It was a water reservoir. It's thoroughly silty mud for potentially over a meter.

Have you ever driven an ATV through really, really thick mud? like mud that still contains a frickton of water. It's easy as frick to get bogged. Add on more weight, like say an armored transport or vehicle loaded with dudes, and you are bound to go nowhere.

Hovercrafts can get stuck in mud too. Everything gets stuck in mud. Mud is the true equalizer because nobody wants to be in it.

I'm almost willing to believe they thought they would lose the territory from the other side before the empty lake stops being a mud pit, but then again it's Russia, it might just be yet another stupid frickup.

If you really believe that few meters thick layer of mud will dry up enough to support the weight of armoured vehicles in any forseeable future I have some bad news for you.
