How the frick did they actually get to the point of building a turret prototype before someone asked "wait, this is just going to funnel every incoming round into the turret ring, isn't it"?
Honestly considering the T-14 has an instant mission kill turret, going with low profile harder to hit might have been better regardless. Typically it's really really hard for LRPs to not be able to bite into a plate and the angle needs to be like 80+ degrees but I could be remembering wrong, it's been a while since I read the PDFs on KEP vs sloped armor. I'm pretty sure this uses a bustle autoloader too. Unironically putting this turret on as many T-80 hulls as they could might have been the better option then T-14s and T-90Ms.
>and the angle needs to be like 80+ degrees but I could be remembering wrong
the critical angle for older 115mm and 125mm long rods is 82 degrees, more modern 125mm ones are at 83 or 83.5 degrees
but they dont really bounce off in a single piece, but in a multiple chunks as the round just has so much energy that it will break up even if deflected only slightly
Anon, that's not what happens with composite armour, the high angle is to try and break via shear forces the long APFSDS spear, and make it easier for the following composite armour to absorb the kinetic energy.
It was never a strong enough bit of plate armour to deflect anything into the turret ring.
Yeah, they look kinda the same but have a lot of small differences like the front fenders and such. Also that goofy cable armor on the turret looks interesting. Reminds me of Merkava ball and chain armor
Lel ded zigger lmao
It's a cool tank. Why are you mad?
Plebbit tourists cannot stand to stay on-topic
It's shit and has always been a shitty rebranded T-72.
>remember what they took from you
although I'm pretty sure that's T-80 hull, the burlak turret is way more aesthetic to me

Stop playing War Thunder
Even a war thunder player wouldn't say something that wrong.
Composite armor works correctly in war thunder moron

Might have some problems but i think it's still the best the Russians can field... Or not?
How difficult it is to learn how to drive a tank anons?
It's like a big car
russian tanks more difficult, they have steering levers like it's 1948
>move right tiller
>tank turns right
>move left tiller
>tank turns left
Wow... so hard.
wonder if mod will delete this thread too, since apparently you can't talk about russian weapons like the lancet on a board about weapons.
don't be a spamming troll and you won't get b&, simple as
zigger
made a single thread in several months, go frick yourself.
>spam board
>act like victims
Classic vatBlack folk.
I like how the T-90M looks. Wish someone made a 1/35 kit of it. There's a bunch of T-90MS kits but not a single T-90M kit
aren't they basically the same tank except some minor differences like the T-90M has a 12.7mm RWS and MS has a 7.62mm RWS

Is the reverse speed seriously still like 2km/h?
BKP transmission is eternal*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~)
Are they building new ones?
