Sweden is sending 10 × Stridsbåt90 aka CB90 aka Battleboats to ukraine as aid. Russians operate a licensed version they call Project 03160 Raptor. Which side will emerge victorious in the swedish civil war? Will sweden and russia finally settle the matter of who gets to pet the catboy?

Jeezes christ what is this shit? Are you gay?
>doesn't know Basshunter
Sure is zoomer upinere
fricking zoomies
have a nice day actual boomer
Im guessing you're 40+ or something since even gen alpha would recognize this song
For me it's
For all of us
Apparently some Sweed songwriter was behind many of Britney Spears' songs as well. How did they do it in the 00s, and what happened to them?
He's still doing it. Making songs for T. Swift and Abel Makkonen Tesfaye among others.
Swedes still make tons of popular music, you're bound to run into one if you hang in PrepHole elitist circles
They're still doing it.
Max Martin has written like 2 dozen big hits for various American pop stars.
He wrote several of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's hits, and he wrote "Blinding Lights" for The Weekend.
Swedes are generally over represented in the Hollywood music scene although a lot of them work in studios rather than on stages.
What's weirdest is that a lot of those Hollywood guys return here to write shit for Swedish Melodifestivalen/Eurovision too. I wish we didn't honestly cause a lot of our smaller bands are pretty good on their own
example shit like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXjzTMaB39w
that didn't win, somehow
Å nej, de har upptäckt oss. Stäng av allt!
Good, you're already feuding over language disputes. This civil war is off to a strong start.
Now we need a highly divisive bit of heraldry to promote.
Any coming civil war would not be the Svenssons vs Mikkolas, and just like last time the Finnish Swedes would pick whatever side they want to be on and fight eachother with the rest of Finland
Love basshunter.
For context this song is about a bot in a ventrilo channel who it turns out is really a girl but the way it's sung about uses a lot of boat language like "channel" so it could almost interchangeably be a song about a boat.
The first many times i heard the song, i was sure he was singing about a boat.
>Ventrilo channel
Where does the time go?
The real question is why did everyone abandon free and open irc/vent/ts servers for a shittier (and shit-tier) alternative controlled and owned by a single shitty company?
>ventrilo
it was about IRC
>basshunter

Classic Sweden; sweet talk Finland into developing the Jehu with promises of ordering them but drop out at the last moment to buy domestic leaving Finland to foot the bill
Sounds like u have a lot of pent-up fwustwation there tyke! Shall I fetch the cat ears?
[just guessing that this is how swedish imperialists talk to finns]
A swedish Imperialist(theoretical) would speak swedish to the finn, assuming the finn would understand.
Why does the Jehu have a 50% greater displacement than the CB90 anyway?
I mean it does carry more people and is a but bigger but that doesn’t seem to explain such an increase. Armor?
It's designed to be able to drop sea mines and to shoot anti ship missile. Don't know if the missiles were even bought but the rails for dropping mines do exist.
The catboy has been stroked the wrong direction, he is hissing. Terrible disaster…
>Stridsbåt90
>Royal Swedish Navy: 147 in service, 18 on order[1]
Sweden has quite much of them. Why?
Take a look at Swedish coastal geography
>Sweden has quite much of them. Why?
Lots of islands
He'd go
>pratar du svenska? helt fin! du är så dumt skrattar fan finlandjävlare, seeming you have the anger there maybe
This is why we don't use google translate holy hell.
>pratar du svenska? helt fin! du är så dumt skrattar fan finlandjävlare, seeming you have the anger there maybe
Buthering my language like this. You need correction, you shitty anon!
Sweden uses them to raid Europe once a year.
The frickers pillaged and burned my hometown in Upper Bavaria TWICE.
NO REFUNDS
Swedish coastal geography is water vietnam
This starts playing when the water starts speaking Swedish.
Close
?si=Trjysi1y6pKNUikb
Swedish coastal geography is water vietnam
The Mekong Delta is already water vietname.
Swedish coastal geography can be cold ocean vietnam.
Sorry Sven but a rock not big enough to stand on isn't an "island".
It's pretty funny how Sweden should have Finnish portion as well but they managed to israelite Ålands for themselves
We actually briefly tried to take Åland during WW1 when Russia was going commie, annihilated the boshleviks there, then the germans camped there for a bit... The Ålanders wanted to join Sweden but the League of Nations said it's Finland's. I assume cause it was split from Russia originally, and that included Åland
Nah, it's because Finns took the delegation sent to inspect the situation to the island a route which made it seems like it was part of a continuous landmass
A bit cheeky.
>The additional, perhaps decisive, merit is attributed to Finland's Envoy to Japan, professor G.J. Ramstedt, who was an important foreign influencer in Japan, managed to point out to the Japanese delegation in the League of Nations that the Åland Islands are in fact a continuous archipelago that joins it with Finland, and furthermore, that deep sea waters separate them from Sweden.
>Japan's own interests in controlling Pacific islands would be aided by such a precedent, and it consequently gave important support to Finland
The situation was fricking resolved by a clever mouthed proto-weeb
We still use this system. Continental shelf wars dictate where huge tracts of land and sea resources fall on political maps. Also the only reason anyone has ever had to give a shit about New Zealand.
Russia has no islands? I thought they took some from Japan.
russians can't count to higher than 22
>Indonesia 17k
>Sweden 267k
HOW?
Very nice trophies for the Russians. The gifts keep coming.
The real question should be why Russia and Greenland/Denmark doesn't have as many islands. Glaciation produces more islands than volcanism.
17k
267k
>HOW?
The trick is to get yourself a list that sorts by inhabited islands.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_islands
17k
267k
>HOW?
Most of the islands are only big enough for a small vacation home or an outhouse
How much would the chart change if you counted continents?
Countries are on two continents at most
FJORDS
We don't have fjords. 90% of our coastline looks like this tho.
Submarine paradise.
Excellent. They can use these to ferry more marines to Krynky. I understand that they need a few more waves.
Am curious how Ukies will utilize them. Commando raids for sure against Kherson/Crimea, but especially when it comes to deploying air/sea drones and MANPADS. Ukies have been pretty good at shoot n scoot. Wouldnt be surprised if they mounted HIMARS or Patriot on one of these lmao.
Speaking of boats. Can someone send a few modern(ish) light torpedoes? I just want to see footage of Russian ships breaking in 1/2
How are they going to transport them there?
Can Hungary or Serbia block the Danube?
Can they be moved by truck?
>Can they be moved by truck?
Yes, it's a fairly small boat. It'll probably be used for the krynky shenanigans
but why? ukies planning landing somewhere?
Harassment raids along the coast and up the Dnipro seem like a useful option.
Force Russia to deploy naval assets and then sink those.
The gov said they've been in talks with Ukraine about sending the most suitable gear,so they might be planning some boat shenanigans
dumb question, you don't need reason to have river fleet
>river fleet
aren't these pretty much just landing craft?
The americans called it Riverine Command Boat (Experimental), all two of them. Also they got to do some anti-piracy shit together with a corvette, so they're a little bit more developed than just landing crafts
Hellfires have been mounted to them in the past. It might make a good launching platform for Brimstones, or a control platform for USVs.
Ukraine already has the Swedish-donated hellfires, so they go hand in hand
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_17
Don't I fricking WISH the ukies were getting the Red Dragon version.
are you saying it took the russians 20 years to reverse engineer a small boat?
No, they never managed to reverse engineer it.
Also I don't believe they can operate their raptors with the ongoing sanctions. Their inner workings are unknown technology to the orks. Magic engine machines etc.
ukraine has hit some raptors
What does /k/ think about fixed mount dual 50 cals?
that looks more effective than I would have thought, at least for keeping homie's heads down
>Green M2A1s built by Bofors
>Green
Just reminds me of old ugly-ass Saab cars.
Oh right, non-nords might not get the reference...
Old Saab cars had the same paint options as swedish military hardware because they didn't have any other suitable paint.
If that sounds /k/ as frick to you, let me stop you right there and tell you "no"
Saabs were shitty cars and saabism is a sickness.
Rude and wrong.
>Old Saab cars had the same paint options as swedish military hardware....
No, that was a common myth but it was never true.
"SAAB green" was just one of the standard paint options, and it was very popular back in the 50s and 60s.
>Saabs were shitty cars
True. Won't argue against that point.
>saabism is a sickness
Suomi detected.
The one on the far left owes me sex
groovy
seems pretty goofy unless main idea is to have them also handy to dismount and take ashore or as backups.
providing massive suppressing fire while doing an assault is goofy?
Seems like they'd work better if they had the ability to adjust their elevation independently of the bow, even if by just a few degrees.
to me it looks like the gun mount has a way of pivoting around the hollow pipe in front to allow some amount of vertical stabilisation
I
FRICKING
LOVE
THIS
WAR
This whole shit show from the clankening onward has been the most /k/ shit ever, and would be amazing if it weren't for all the moronic tourists and their moronic threads. It's amazing to see so many weapon systems thrown into a real war.
?feature=shared&t=3165
Those fricking songs LMAO
Would implode the head of the average stockholmer today
Explain for non-svenskies?
The first song is about how the should turn the boat around to the suburbs to kill "Black person-swine", bash their heads in, rip their dicks off and drown them in gasoline.
The second song is about fookin sloots in Mallorca, and something about fricking their corpses. The boat noises kinda blurs it out.
The first song is actually a double entendre.
Svartskalle refers to Russian marines as they wear black berets.
Huh, that's neat.
The references to Tensta and "blatte-svin" clearly implies immigrants, too.
Do these have those neat little finnish mortar launchers?
I was under the impression Sweden didn't want them (kinda like they ultimately rejected the AMOS and went with the shittier Mjölner instead) but apparently there are 8 units on order as of 2023
>Stridsbåt90 aka CB90
CB90, CV90, M90, a lot of procurement seemingly took place in 1990
Don't forget about everyone's favorite, the AutomatGevär-90 (Barrett M82)!
Commonly known to the grunts as the AngryGod-90.
The Swedish army was the first military force in the world to officially adopt these rifles, beating the USMC by a couple months.
Hopefully better than the cv90. It’s been so disappointing in Ukraine
It's a boat, you're gonna get disappointed
New production CV-90s are also part of the package. No clue what configuration.
New production means MkIV right? I think unless the ukies throw a curveball that the new ones might be 35mm + ATGM supported. The MkV in development's supposed to have an ATGM too so this is prime testing ground, and 35mm allows it to easen logistics
Also I heard it was a cooperation between Sweden and Denmark to get 30~ of them, almost doubling the CV90 count (most of which are currently old variants with 40mm)
>Hopefully better than the cv90. It’s been so disappointing in Ukraine
Why?
It's just warriortard seething, he believed anything that might hurt the image of the Bradley needs putting down regardless of if it deserves it or not, don't mind him, his opinions are worthless.
Are you moronic? The cv90 hasn’t done anything in Ukraine
TRUUUUUUUUUE
its so shit they keep asking for more just so they can destroy them for the lulz
it’s not like they aren’t desperate for metal boxes on tracks. It’s nice that they will send ones with decent guns this time
The 40mm gun just isn’t suited to ifv work in Ukraine
source
Not being a moron and its repeated lack of use despite 50 vehicles already in Ukraine. Let me guess, it’s okay to have a very small combat load
sounds like your opinion
what have the ukrainians operators themself said about it tho
Nothing really. No ones that’s seen combat really. The Bradley gets the lion share of the praise from combat troops
>it’s my opinion that the combat load is tiny
kek
>No ones that’s seen combat really
There have been multiple confirmed losses which would entail that they are seeing combat.
I hear Swedes say all the time that with the equipment they give to Ukraine they also ask the Ukrainians not to upload combat videos of their equipment.
>I hear Swedes say all the time that with the equipment they give to Ukraine they also ask the Ukrainians not to upload combat videos of their equipment.
No you dont. That’s just a coping mechanism for the lack of combat videos. It isn’t based in reality and multiple people have tried to prove it on here but have failed
Or it's "Hey Ukraine, we wanna help you out but we are still not in NATO so could you guys please keep the capabilities of our equipment under wraps in case Comrade Banan loses it completely and tries some moronic shit with us too, thanks and much love from FMV xoxo <3"
That’s a major reach and your post has been outright disregarded
I'll take your (You) and treasure it for the rest of my life.
Ahh the old “I think our vehicle is trash please don’t film it being trash defense”
>all the guys inside get to charge out a big double hatch in the bow
fricking cool!
It's time.
The CV90 Ukraine's getting are. The CV9035NL MLU variants it seems
https://www.dn.se/sverige/stridsbatar-och-toppmoderna-stridsfordon-till-ukraina/
35 of them, too
Did they specifically ask for these boats? What are they gonna do, drive up the Volga and blow up the Kremlin?
Riverine ops are pretty important in the war, just not as widely publicized as other topics.
They are important, but they have taught us that these really cool boats are unfortunately just drone food. Combat boats are a dead technology for anything other than large vessel escort. They were cool while they lasted.
We'll have to see how the amphibious war plays out with time, I think. Freedom of maneuver around inland waterways will likely always be in tension with the increased mobility and autonomy of things that can target boats. It's hard to see how even the bare essentials like resource management will be carried out if non-permissive riparian environments are so deadly to small boats that you can't even expect to use the waterways. We might see a USS Cole situation, where the perceived vulnerability for all vessels of class x in context y just doesn't really manifest as an actual trend of attacks.
wtf so Ukraine has a navy now? we won't be able to say the line anymore this is bullshit.
They don’t have many ships that are larger than patrol boats.
You morons still arguing with the biggest tard of all, in here? Stay safe out there
