Suppressor Talk

Ok guys, i have an AK with a direct thread suppressor. But after some drills (60-90rds prolonged fire) it tends to walk off of me.

I tried teflontape on the threads, which improved it a little bit, but at the end of the day the suppressor was still loose.

What do you guys use to prevent this? A better teflon tape? Loctide (i wouldn't since you remove loctide with heat)

>pic related is the gun in need.

Otherwise, feel free to talk about suppressors.

    Properly torque it stupid
    Torque it
    Fire a mag
    Torque it again

there must be a better way.

And yes, i filed a notch to the suppressor to interact with the indent but i did it so poorly that the suppressor has just enough room to wiggle it self loose. But it won't fall off, thats for sure.

      $500
A shitty $300 can + stamp will last hundreds of thousands of rounds

Awesome. I set up an NFA trust years ago but I didn't have to do finger prints back then. I can get prints but I know there are silencer shop kiosks here too. What's the best way to go? I don't care so much about the trust but I don't know anything about the kiosks

Whatever you do make sure you get the electronic finger print file. Infinitely more convenient than sending them off via snail mail.

wouldn't teflon deslove into acid if too hot?
That would def. damage your threads.

Grind a groove for the detent on the front sight. It's there to stop stuff from coming off so use it

You obviously did it wrong, so fix it. Or throw a muzzle device then mount the suppressor to the muzzle device and make sure you don't frick up locking the detent on that as well.

An actual suppressor make for AKs that actually engage with the pin and detent system for a start. So no ASS ULTRA or Silent Shit.

AKs are garbage suppressor hosts and even the factory muzzle brake rattles around
      Problem = shit gun

        >the factory muzzle brake rattles around
It rattles but it indexes every time without shims or any amount of torque

My solution to suppress AK was keymo muzzle device. I know this isn't particularly useful information to you wanting to direct thread, but thats how i run an AK can w/o issue (besides front heaby)

The wolverine can indexes off the muzzle, instead of that fricked up fsb shoulder that you morons think is square.

Tighten it down all the way lightly
Then back off a quarter turn
Then tighten it with a quick twist of the wrist
    Works for me
