still a viable weapon in modern combat

with the advancement of modern tech, vehicles and support weapons and tactics. actual infantry arms becomes less important
guys armed with flintlock muskets supported by drones, artillery, armor and aircraft could still complete tasks and objectives

when drone tech and sensors become better modern infantry weapons will be rendered basically irrelevant

You laugh, but Britain has been conducting tests and exercises to gauge the effectiveness of OPs suggestion.

        >Get shot from alleyway
        >Have to level an entire city block with millions of dollars of materiel to kill one man reliably
If you just want to bomb the enemy wether to cripple or exterminate them, logically you shouldn't invade at all. It's just a waste of resources. If you have a reason to invade, you definitionally are going to have to expose your men to enemy action.
muh "airstrikes and drones only" theorycrafting is for midwits. The reason drones are so effective right now is because the rest of the world hasnt advanced militarily in forty years.

bros i came here from pol i never use this board and i dont know shit about guns. they had a thread saying that shit lookin like the pic in op is legal in the UK and i thought nothing was legal there. which really made me think...

if u got like 20 legal guns and strapped them all together and made some kind of meme trigger bracket so that they would all fire fractions of a second apart such that their rpm was calculated between 600-900 is the item still legal? can u reproduce the tactical power of automatic firearms by connecting a few dozen legal ones?

like this picture except with like muskets or whatever?

also what are the implications of capacity limits in such a situation? if u can legally have like a shotgun with 3 rounds or whatever can u have 10 shotguns with 3 rounds each giving you effectively 30 rounds while not violating the capacity laws?

Even if it is legal under the rules as written it just takes one judge with a bee up his butt to decide that he can 'interpret' it as a single weapon and a machinegun at that.

first off, go back to your hellhole.
Second, way more than muskets are legal in Britain. Anything that isn't semiauto is legal. There's at least one overachiever bong who made a belt fed lever gun for fun.

We come here occasionally to laugh at NATO gays coping. We occasionally talk guns there with everyone banned from here for not supporting the current thing.

I just wanna see video of a company of colonial militiamen fire a few volleys of grapeshot at antifa blm rioters, then fix bayonets and charge.

muskets don't provide enough volume of fire to actually fix a target for arty, drones, etc. to hit

A .22 break barrel AIR RIFLE that only goes 900 fps with a suppressor would be more viable than a musket.
