>A3
Gross. That's an FA A4, not an A2. Not very cash money at all. If we had good mods they's ban you for degeneracy.
Technically it could be either an A2 or an A4, but the only people to ever use it were the Seabees and theirs were all A2s from what I understand. A4 is gay though, agreed there.
The company is actually widely praised for its craftsmanship and high-quality materials. Considered by virtually every 1911 enthusiast to be the best production 1911 that you can buy.
M16a2 done goofed on some accounts.
The barrel is very thickened near the end instead of all the way. Because (from memory) they got a false positive on checking barrel straightness quite often (carbon buildup caused that). Heavyer gun to no benefit. Ah well.
The stock was lenghtened during the introduction of kevlar bodyarmor (pasgat/interceptor vests were worn more often).
The 3 round burst mechanism was non resetting dogshit.
The rest was more or less inline with the tecH of the time.
Still a decent rifle though.
But the optimal "modern" m16/20 inch military AR would be
full auto ,
Picrails/ mloks
Colapsable stock.
Flipup sights.
Optiks.
The A2 is still k/ino AF
>The barrel is very thickened near the end instead of all the way. Because (from memory) they got a false positive on checking barrel straightness quite often (carbon buildup caused that).
Essentially correct, though pedantry compels me to note that it was copper buildup on the gas port, not carbon. The only thing dumber than this mistake, is how many people are still using the A2 profile, or profiles unthinkingly derived from it.
For me, the handguard is the most mixed part.
The material change was a straight upgrade, of course.
The shape is an ergonomic downgrade; triangle is love, triangle is life.
But logistically, making it two identical halves, instead of mirror images, is an enormous win, especially considering how fragile the triangles were, and so how important spares were at the time.
I know it's impractical, but when an alt-history mood strikes me, I fantasize about triangle handguards made in three identical pieces.
The A2 was the worst version of the M16
What they should do is move to the M16A5 >20” tapered barrel, finally getting rid of that gay ass government profile >URX “4.1” in that the hand guard acts as the barrel nut for superior rigidity, but has built in pic rail sections at the front of the hand guard >Full auto FCG >VLTOR A5 receiver extension so we can put a collapsible stock on it without bolt bounce >Closed tine Surefire flash hider for use with an RC2 mini
There, I’ve perfected the M16 for years to come >M1911
lol
Lmao
Make it a 2011 in 10mm with full power ammo. Like Speer Gold Dots loaded by Underwood.
And it should have an RCR on it.
A5 receiver extension so we can put a collapsible stock on it without bolt bounce
tine Surefire flash hider for use with an RC2 mini
ruined it right there, birdcage and fixed stock for life
The US military should not have a standard issue GI firearm.
USAF: MP7 PDW or M590A1. You don't need anything bigger for site security and if you need anything bigger you call the marines to do it.
Navy: M590A1. You don't need anything bigger to do site security and the average sailor will never need a personal weapon.
Army: M14 with a wood stock. It just works and anything smaller call the police.
Marines: .458 socom battlerifle or .458 win mag battlerifle with an M32A1 and 50 cal for DMR. Since the marines are the only part of the military that actually see combat and the marines don't take anyone under six feet we might as well use that to our advantage. When contact with the enemy is made entire limbs should be coming off. Most marines prefer using an M32A1 anyway, and most of the fighting/winning will be with the M32A1. Journalists crying about dead children can be arrested and sent to diverse and tolerant countries like pakistan or syria where they can live with their audience.
because the marines will actually fricking do something and not be 20 officers sitting in an office jacking off pretending to "work"
the USMC hard carries the entire US empire btw
You guys just got out of MCRD, didn’t you? The marines are the only branch that has to continually justify its existence. The only thing we do at the doctrine level that the Army doesn’t is act as a rapid response force. But the lines have been blurred during GWOT
I like the Colt 711 the most. It has the A2 upgrades (Furniture, FSP, A2 birdcage, twist, brass deflector [on the later ones]) and it has the best parts of the A1 (A1 rear sight, Full auto, lightweight barrel as opposed to the govt profile).
The 1911 is a great choice. Because 45 is better than 9mm and sidearm are largely irrelevant anyway. Capacity in something that is more a status symbol or last stand device is a meme.
5.56 however is weak sauce and you are a gay homosexual for recommending it.
No, they should use whatever weapons the enemy uses. Preferably those captured in the field. Then there should be a constant barrage across all enemy comms of:
>change my mind
no, except the A2 should be an A3
>A3
Gross. That's an FA A4, not an A2. Not very cash money at all. If we had good mods they's ban you for degeneracy.
this annon speaks the truth, the only real frickup on the A2 was the 3rnd burst
Agreed
Technically it could be either an A2 or an A4, but the only people to ever use it were the Seabees and theirs were all A2s from what I understand. A4 is gay though, agreed there.
*M9 Beretta
but agreed with the A2
Based
That's not an American pistol, that's a pistol for little queer euro homosexuals and larpers
K, but Colt won't be making them. FN makes the M16A2 while Dan Wesson does the M1911.
Deal
Why, colt is still making M4s for military.
maybe they should stop and let a real manufacturer handle them
Dan Wesson 1911s are honestly kind of shit

ARs in 6.5 and VP9s.
You're gay if you disagree.
6mm max is better for the AR than pretty much any other caliber
Make HK release a USP with a pic rail

I would need to care about your opinion to be compelled to change it.
The A1 is way, way, way, way sexier than the A2
The US military should not have a standard issue GI firearm.

Holy shit what a moronic post with dogshit takes on guns.
Why would the Air Force call the marines?
because the marines will actually fricking do something and not be 20 officers sitting in an office jacking off pretending to "work"
the USMC hard carries the entire US empire btw

there is no point to a military that isn't a rapid response force prove me wrong
There is no point for rapid response or expeditionary forces at all. The militaries only job is defense of the homeland. Anything else is just gay.
you're half right
It should be the HK416A5 and a railed 1911 in 9mm.
Doubt a moron will change his mind. Correct arms are the M16a1 and Browning Hipower.
Can we put an optic on the 1911?
no
No, you can't put a weaponlight on the 1911 either
*AR10 & M&P9

More of the M16A2 series for you guys.
>buy windham hbar a2 clone
>put binary trigger in
>kac rail and bipod
look at me, i am the ghetto saw now.
Armalite AR-10A2 and Para P-14

>Stop shooting yourself. Stop shooting yourself :^)
Standard issue rifle and Sidearm for the U.S. Military should be the ZiP 22, change my mind.
