>looks is 99% of the importance in the civilian market
Agree
It looks funky and unusual, but it’s the type where I can see perceptions changing based on widespread use. So not inherently ugly like that can on the NGSW submission (forgot who’s it was)
>and looks is 99% of the importance in the civilian market.
Not when it comes to suppressors. Having to do irritating form filling, pay $200 tax and then wait 8-12 fricking months tends to focus minds anon. People care a lot about performance, warranty, and size/weight. Particularly since SBRs are particularly popular to put cans on.
So if this tests well it'll "look good" since form follows function.
There's a version without, or at least the prototype/preproduction has one version without.
It looks awesome. Apparently it has the same decibel reduction as their full size 5.56 cans. Cat’s butthole is kino too.
I’d love to have one, but I live in California so I’ll just have to settle for cooming over it.
Hold me bros, I hate it here. They won’t let me have cool funs.
>Apparently it has the same decibel reduction as their full size 5.56 cans.
Do this but with .22lr and I will absolutely fricking buy one. >$549
Not too bad if it really works as advertised.
I mean same but designed for .22lr. Or if the 5.56 version works as well as a Mask HD when installed on a .22lr rifle I would be all in for this thing. I'm not super crazy about the looks of the can but it would help shorten my 10/22 as my folding stock, when folded, goes from "pretty nice and short for walking in brush" (no can) to "basically the same length as if I didn't have a folding stock or suppressor" (with can). Unfortunately I don't have to worry about that yet as it's in jail, and not even fun "can visit and play with it" jail, it's no range visits just pure painful waiting type NFA transfer wait.
Second clarification: I wish I knew how well this thing worked on a .22lr rifle as I really want a short but effective suppressor for hunting. If it isn't great/optimized for .22lr I hope they make one optimized for it. Someone should review this and try it with .22lr.
I don’t know how you’d go about further optimizing for 22lr, if such a thing can even be done. It’s the same caliber as 5.56, with a significantly smaller propellant charge and much lower pressure. It’s gonna be far quieter with 22lr than 5.56. In what way could a can of this design be improved to perform better with 22lr?
I’m so jealous that you get to b***h and moan about NFA jail. T. California resident, I’d love to b***h and moan about cans in NFA jail.
It's my first NFA anything. The worst part is that I wanted this silencer for hunting next season and knew exactly what I wanted. It was out of stock. With a 270 day estimate on the wait, additionally waiting for it to be back in stock would've made that 270 day wait into a full year (maybe catching the tail end of the season by a week or two) so I got the next best thing. Not having any other suppressors makes the wait suck hard.
And good point about wondering if it'd really be different. Though other anon mentioning cleaning has a good point I forgot about.
Same guy. And I wonder if you could reduce the decibels further by making it a reflex design and adding like 2” worth of blast chamber behind the muzzle. You can tuck it into the handguard and it wouldn’t add any additional length to the gun+can
Even if you don't see any further db reduction with an additional reflex chamber you might see a backpressure reduction which would be very nice to have on some of the overpassed m4s and such.
>There's a version without, or at least the prototype/preproduction has one version without.
It's the opposite, the standard version is without, that's the "Fat Cat", the "Cat's Ass" is a limited edition custom end cap. The step down design is thoughtful, designed to let it fit under handguards.
I'm curious/skeptical about how it'll perform vs the Flow 556k though. 5.56 is an annoying caliber to suppress. I'd like to see them do a 30cal version of this for 300bo.
Cats butthole is cringe. All this cheeky manchild shit is as played out as unicorn roll marks, zombie squad and paracord bracelet garbage. People need to go to the range.
>make a can that looks like a ant eater dick when you pinch the tip and pee
Looks ugly, and looks is 99% of the importance in the civilian market.
As for the suppressor, it will look fine on the right weapon and personaly, I prefer short fat suppressors. It keeps the OAL down while giving internal volume.

Wdym “but with 22lr”. Like decibel reduction down to 22lr levels?

Cans built for .22lr prioritize ease of cleaning, since it's filthy.
